Spotify is my preferred music streaming service for its vast library and personalized recommendations. I love the curated playlists and the ability to discover new artists based on my listening habits. While the free version comes with ads, the premium subscription is worth it for uninterrupted listening and offline downloads. Spotify has become an essential part of my daily routine.

Recently I discovered for past 14 mths I have been double charged on my account by 2 different payment cards. I changed my payment method online from Amex card to Visa. Now I'm being charged on BOTH! I contact Spotify & they still have not resolved, saying they cannot 'see' the double payment & directed me to card issuer who state that Spotify is responsible. Spotify do not offer help by phone, only online text messages. This is slow,clunky,cumbersome & after 'speaking' with now 5 agents STILL not resolved. Not good enough Spotify...this is grossly inadequate customer service.

If you have other options, stay clear of Spotify service. They sent me an email telling me that one of my playlists had been 'reported'. And without my permission they removed the name of that Playlist! Since that time I have been unable to play that playlist using Echo (Alexa) commands and numerous attempts to contact Spotify have been in vain. Customer service is ill equipped to answer questions, they are very dismissive and terminate the chat session without your ok, and sometimes they refer you to their e-mail support which never responds. I am aghast that they have such bad customer service.

Why are you guys trying to force people to choose premium? Stop with the cheap tack tick of forcing. First I liked Spotify because I could listen to songs the way I wanted to, now even for going back and choosing different song I have to get premium? You think we are so jobless?

After turning off ALL notifications your app STILL has the incessant need to notify me of every song I listen to, ALL the time, even when it's been on my playlist for years. ANNOYING and ignorant as far as I concerned. Your company OBVIOUSLY doesn't give a $#*! about it's customers. The app can't even do an acceptable shuffle on my playlist, it plays the same half dozen or so songs over and over again. The app is pathetic as far as I concerned. Give it a zero but that's not an option.

They could not care less about you unless you are a paying customer. Want to play a specific song on an album on the web browser? I hope not, because that feature has now been removed - after years of its accessibility. You simply get "shuffle mode", just like their pathetic app. No better way to push away potential customers than providing a crappy free (aka trial) experience.

Honestly i barely use this so i don't know if i can say its bad or good, i kinda used it for a year but unless you have premium it bombards you with ads and the playlists you make are all on shuffle, always. Maybe there is a way around that idk. They also make you listen to songs that you didn't download, that might be a good thing for some but i like my bubble.

15 minute or so intervals you get a new person that has to read what was in the texts and then help. Went through 7 people before the double payment was rectified and my Playlist was retrieved. Noon to 830pm to be on that messaging system. Payoff, a higher bill per month. Where is your customer service?

Really good premium plan! Get to listen to my favourites songs all the time and get great song suggestions! I have also recently noticed that my account is receiving a sudden follower increase? Anyone experiencing the same thing? I will get around 50 a day at the exact same time, midnight or 1am. But get to listen offline, love it!

Spotify is a great podcast for those who want to listen to music on the go. For about $10 USD a month you can get the Spotify premium subscription. This subscription allows you to download songs, so you can listen to music in places where there's no service (airplane, rural area, sometimes office/school). Would recommend!

Try it, it’s an excellent podcast!

I do music everyday. I do playlists everyday. The new smart shuffle options sucks!, I can't see beforehand what I'm going to listen, at least I could see all the songs on enhance. There are artists that I really don't care about so delete beforehand. Their recommended songs section sucks too. They are constantly repeating songs there. Hey Stupid Spotify engineers, how about a button that says "DON'T PLAY OR RECOMMEND THAT SONG EVER AGAIN IN MY LIFE BECAUSE IT REALLY SUCKS! You tube has a button that saids "NOT INTERESTED" and guess what...You'll never see that video ever again. And make it easy, Don't make me go all the way to the artists profile and hide the song, like you can do, IN FACT! I had hidden songs that will still play or be on the recommended section. Spotify is not a good app for listeners that are constantly working on playlists, and looking for new music. Thinking of cancelling membership!

Customer service sucks... down load music to have when out of service, can't do it won't play without wifi... I pay each month to listen to my music I download Playlist, but it's worthless with out wifi it won't play it... try to get issues fixed is worthless chatted with 6 different agents over 1 thing just keep getting dropped or got put to a new agent still today issue is not fixed... I highly recommend staying the f@#$ away from this piece of $#*! servic... I would give it a -0 score if it would lete

I was double charged for months for two family plans. Apparently there was a family plan in my 10 year old's name. Customer service argued with me over the charges because it was another account. I loved the service, but the ethics is not good. A family should not be charged for two family plans out of the same household, with one of them being charged to a child! I expected they would reimburse me for the couple of months it occurred, but no. They lost me as a customer.
I liked the streaming, but watch the billing if you go with them. That, and family members get kicked off the plan frequently, so some family members chose not to use it.

Just as the title suggests…. Spotify "family plan" does NOT keep your kids safe from the smutty crap they have lurking all over that site…. Its disgusting and massively disappointing that their "family plan", which claims to block explicit content, DOES NOT block their audio porn "podcasts"! Switch to amazon or apple music if you want family friendly streaming!

Parents BEWARE of the “family plan”….it DOES NOT block explicit content as it claims to……not at all, not even close!! Switch to amazon or apple to protect your kids from smutty crap, which has no place on a music streaming website!!

Amazon Unlimited Music has this missing feature - but they don't carry my podscasts! MAJOR ISSUE - Spotify does not have a function when you go offline from WIFI to just automatically switch over to play downloads only. If you forget to do switch it to "Offline mode" manually to only play your downloaded music and / or podcasts it will chew through your data very quickly. This is all over the internet as one of their fatal flaws

Well, I've been using Spotify since 2012 and it's been a great companion app. I love to quickly search for any song and just play it, simple! The feature of control devices within the same wifi network is just so convenient, specially when there's a BBQ going on.

If you get the premium subscription then it's an excellent service with a lot of music you can't find elsewhere. You can also go to ebay and buy lifetime memberships but don't ask me how that works. People swear by it though.

Anyways Spotify is a good site with a decent if a little intrusive app for all platforms. It's one of the better providers out there by far.

I bought a song for my wife for mother's day and paid extra to have it available
At anytime on spotify. Long story short the app takes total control of your phone tirns on randomly when you turn it off and won't let yiu search for uour songs. It sucks and I would leave ZERO stars if it was an option. I hate this app it is worthless.

I have to listen to more ads than song time only for the song I am waiting to listen to, to not actually be that song!

How is it that I select song A have to listen to 3 minutes of ads go to Artist (whatever) and song (whatever) but it is showing the artist and song I was trying to listen to?

Example: I selected Rob Zombie, Super Beast.

What I got was a random 90's song from Rage Against the Machine. Guerrilla Radio, to be specific.

Do not force me to hear ads then NOT PLAY what I asked for.

Garbage service.

Nice source of music and not just music. I can even listen to various podcasts with Spotify. Since Joe Rogan came here it has become more than just a music streaming platform for me.

I cancel my service 4 months ago, they have continued to charge me since. I have tried to deal with them and they keep saying they are not charging me. I sent them proof and still nothing. I turned them into my credit card Bo for fraud. They do not offer a phone service, it's all done my messages and Ai!

Tip for consumers:
Don’t do it! They have no phone support for any issue and took money 4 months after it was cancelled. I had to cancel my card to get it stopped!!

I've had Spotify for the past 6-7 years.
The connectivity service in the past 6 months has been extremely poor.
Example: within 1 hour of play time, I get disconnected about 6 times. Requiring me to simply log back into the app and I press play.
As bad as that is, imagine I'm not near my phone to re-play
THIS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE
IM OUT!
Found another music service that works well

I'm done with the left cult cancel culture. Too bad Spotify didn't stand up for Rogan. Cancelling my account and anyone else who bends their knees to cancel culture. Won't get my hard earned money. I only pay for this to listen to Rogan. Therefore DELETE.

Was a long time family plan subscriber until they censored one of my favorite artists. Weird how much you can promote violence, drug use, and exploitation of women yet Spotify will shut you down if you offend the alphabet bunch.

Go to Tidal or Amazon where they won't censor the music

Playlists are pointless with the new update. I make a play list, and Spotify plays songs not on the list from the beginning. It will play every couple songs on the list and then the play any random song that is terrible. I'm about to quit Spotify. I'm so disappointed. Pandora was amazing. What ever happened in to that?
