I have been a customer of Spotify since around 2010. The website and the platform have both evolved over time, adding and removing some rather helpful features and increasing the catalog available. Since its inception, there were a number of coveted artists that did not want their music since the licensing structure differs from when people purchase music. However, over time, many artists have seen the value of online streaming and have their music represented in Spotify's catalog.
The application itself is in a great place on both Windows and on Android. There is a browser-based client for those that do not want to install software on their computer, but I would highly recommend the Windows client. I cannot speak for other platforms, but these two platforms play well with each other. You can control the music through the cell phone, enabling you to control the music without actually being at the computer.
At one time I had an account(free), with Spotify. I canceled the account. A charge showed up on my wife's card for a premium subscription. I attempted to call them, but their number directs you to go on line for help. Then they ask for your Spotify account info. An account I don't have! I went thru my bank and got the charge canceled. Next month?, Same exact thing! My complaint is there is no number you can call to speak to someone who might be able to help you. IMHO, very poor customer service.
Spotify at best is incredibly easy to use and you can build a playlist of under various sub headings, I like it very much indeed, and I am always eager to add to it to extend my range of musical knowledge.
I purchased a Spotify gift card as a gift for a relative. I know this relative subscribes to Spotify so I wanted to gift them money to cover their subscription. I thought a gift card would be more personal than cash. However, I did not realize they have a student premium subscription. Spotify does not allow you to pay for a student subscription with a gift card. I contacted Spotify support, their only answer was to change to a regular premium subscription, use the money on the gift card then change back to a student subscription. My issue with this is the student subscription is $4.99/month; the regular subscription is $9.99/month. In other words Spotify's only solution is for my relative to pay double the cost for the same service in order to use the gift card. When I asked why this is Spotify's policy I got NO response. Shame on you Spotify. Shame on you for this being your policy and shame on you for such poor customer service.
I looked for many music apps and I really like this one. One of my favorite features of it is watching those interactive videos (I think that's the way you call them) like billie eilish or bring me the horizon's videos. I hope you continue evolving, you are doing great!
It's been 3 years since I use this service :)
I finally caved in after what seemed like forever... And I couldn't be happier! It just makes so much easier to have all of your favourite music with you everywhere you go, without having to worry about storage in your phone or anything like that. It would be nice to have something like this for free of course but the prize is within reason and it is worth it!
Great music platform suitable for all music tastes. I like the sound quality and the huge variety of artists you can choose from. The monthly price is affordable for me and because I use it very often it is completely worth every penny I pay. I am a completely satisfied customer of Spotify.
We were given a gift voucher for a year to Spotify. The voucher was bought in the UK but we live in Switzerland. After spending time trying to redeem it, found out that we are unable to use it in Switzerland. How ridiculous is that? Supposed to be an international company and they should be in a position to transfer the funds. Very disappointing indeed.
I do music everyday. I do playlists everyday. The new smart shuffle options sucks!, I can't see beforehand what I'm going to listen, at least I could see all the songs on enhance. There are artists that I really don't care about so delete beforehand. Their recommended songs section sucks too. They are constantly repeating songs there. Hey Stupid Spotify engineers, how about a button that says "DON'T PLAY OR RECOMMEND THAT SONG EVER AGAIN IN MY LIFE BECAUSE IT REALLY SUCKS! You tube has a button that saids "NOT INTERESTED" and guess what...You'll never see that video ever again. And make it easy, Don't make me go all the way to the artists profile and hide the song, like you can do, IN FACT! I had hidden songs that will still play or be on the recommended section. Spotify is not a good app for listeners that are constantly working on playlists, and looking for new music. Thinking of cancelling membership!
I pay $10/month to have the ability to manage my Library. I've jacked with every setting possible to get Spotify to shuffle my Library of over 9,300 songs. No matter what online tips, suggestions, and settings I've tried, Spotify continues to play the same 10-or-so artists, sometimes back-to-back. There is no way to get Spotify to truly shuffle your Library of songs. So frustrating.
The best streaming music, video and podcast service today. With Spotify I feel very comfortable, I really like this site a lot, I like its style and operation. All music from around the world wherever it is.
A free service that allows you to play lots of songs, on demand - pretty good! The only down side is I am starting to see some songs not available, for instance a popular Rihanna song. I can only find the remixed by other people, but not the original.
Spotify is of course well known for their primary product, their music streaming app. While of course, they are the leading and most influential music streaming company out there, the quality of their product has been declining. Certain desirable features have been pulled out without replacement, such as their mobile lyric option.
Spotify free -frequently runs an advertisement that states "watch this short video for 30 minutes of ad free music."
Sometimes you get two songs without an ad sometimes you get three. But there are no 30 minutes of ad free music so don't believe it. Just switch to pandora when that happens.
If I pay for your service and want to add my Dad states away, I should be able to. I am a family of three and will pay the same amount as a family of six pays. Amazon Unlimited does not care who I add to my six spots and where they live. I pay for those spots. For this reason, I am sticking with Amazon Unlimited. Sucks because I was ready to make the switch. All these companies are the same it is like a battle of greed.
I love the free music. The only thing I dislike is some songs are not available that are on google play: glee sings billy Joel ( how can you have every other glee song but those?), the Beatles are not available either just to name a couple. I love the service but definitely will be switching to google play.
Spotify has been available for the past 10 years and in that time have made almost 0 upgrades to the user interface. It was garbage then and it's still garbage now. Their customer support is surface level at best and the teams don't seem to understand how to support the system. The CEO wants to force musicians into constantly releasing work which will affect the art being created and he appears to be an all round greedy, out of touch sociopath.
On top of all that it's constantly glitching out, crashing and not working correctly. This has been the case for many years and I just tried to ignore it. Contacted support who did have anything helpful to say or suggest, then gave up and re-created my account. They also didn't mention this would change my 3 character long user name to a 25 character random jumble of letter and numbers. The whole service is so buggy but Spotify is just too big to fail at this point and don't have to care about individual users.
I have a free account but I find that I have been getting charged for the last 3 months. No way to contact the Swedish gang to get this fixed so I had to turn this into my credit card company. Pathetic!
My identity was stolen on another site & it was necessary for me to change the email address. The site would not allow me to edit the info so I contacted customer service. I Don't have a Twitter account so my only option was email. My identity was stolen beginning in 2014 & every year there's more crap to deal with.
I like this better than pandora because I can listen to a whole album of an artist and yes there are still ads but its a little easier to work with and if I do give them by money the features are better than pandora. :) I recommend this! Lol
Answer: I would try to just use another acunt, but if that does not work then idk how to help
Answer: Do you think I could get you to advertise mine? It was recorded at Sony Records in Nashville, TN.
