If only I had read the reviews prior to placing an order as the service is simply appalling, that term is putting it lightly. At each and EVERY level of service provided, each member of SD has been trained in a manner that is not acceptable. The old dogma that the customer is always right has not even entered there vocabulary whatsoever.
They do not listen, have no empathy, blatantly discourteous, iniquitous and atrocious service at such a level they do NOT deserve trade/customers in to-days society.
The General public are being taken advantage of by SD due the current level of austerity here in the UK.
For SD representatives to address customers in such an ill-mannered, impolite, discourteous and disrespectful fashion is TOTALLY unacceptable.
Bad experience: received a product different of the one I have order. When I contacted the after sales crew, the first answer was that it was written on their website that the colors might be diffent... yes, I replied, but I have received a different product with a different pattern. Need to send the product on my expenses. Why do I have to pay if they're the ones who made the mistake? No refunds are given. Money grabbing company!

Incorrect sizing and awful returns process. Do no use this company they don't use US sizes and if they provide the wrong size you have to pay for the return shipping to the UK
Just don't purchase anything expensive as you will only be given a credit note or exchange. Their unfair policies do not issue refunds. Bit of a joke really, it's basically money grabbing.
I ordered 2 orders of underwear. 1 came wrong color, and 1 wasn't the same materials listed so they were too small and not what I would've ordered if they listed them correctly. Then they gave me a very hard time to return, never gave me shipping info. For return shipping and then played shady games with me, saying that I wouldn't work with the shipper to send the products back so they would no longer help me. I would never buy from these unprofessional scumbags ever again and no-one else should either!
They had a free delivery offer if you used their app. Purchased lots of items. When I received the items I noticed they charged me full delivery costs of £4.99.
I sent them an email asking why I was charged £4.99 for delivery and they responded 5 days later informing me it was because I failed to enter the discount code. I told them this offer did not require a discount code and now they are just not replying at all.
So basically they messed up but are refusing to fix their error which has left me out of pocket.
Sent boots back for sending me the wrong size. They proceeded to reship the same size boots despite numerous emails and facebook messages.
After sending the boots back a second time it has been resolved
Wow genuinely one of the worst customer experience's ever. Fortunately I had not spent a lot but here is the summary.
You buy an item you believe will arrive in brand new condition because it is 'new'. Sports direct send you something that looks like the staff have played Pinata with. Oh and charged you £5 for 'click and collect' to THEIR store.
You then email to complain about condition of said item but they will never respond despite multiple emails.
So you then take to twitter and start tweeting to which they respond repeatedly with the same messages -
"Hi, I am sorry to hear this. Can you kindly follow and DM me your order number to this account to allow me to assist, Thanks" So you do but no one replies to your DM. So you repeat the process until you finally receive a non-automated response but not one of understanding but rather 'tough luck'.
"I am sorry to hear this, I am sorry to advise that the outer packaging is there to protect the item in transit.
Therefore we are unable to assist in any form of refund or exchange for damage to the outer packaging." *(remember you payed £5 for this delivery).
Except the item and box looks like it was most likely a return and damaged even before dispatch.
I would definitely not give them repeat trade - they are cheap for a reason and you will get no help if you are dissatisfied.
As they say 'buyer beware'.
Ordered 12 items via their website. Package delivered to the wrong address 2 miles away. When I received the package it had been opened, items were missing and some obviously opened and tried on. I complained via website with no joy. I called to complain at least 2 dozen times but each time got the message that they are very busy and then they terminate the call. I would strongly warn people to be very cautious when thinking of shopping with this company.
Sportsdirect.com WORST SHOE COMPANY!
I bought a pair of shoes from them a couple weeks ago and I wore them once for less than 10 mins and they badly cut both my ankles. I went to return them and the manager refused on the premise that they are used. How else would I have noticed their horrible product unless I gave it a chance? Thankfully I had another pair of shoes to switch into that day! After speaking with the store manager at length he refused to do anything and demanded I leave the store. Never buying anything from them again! Please inform everyone about their quality service. I also tried to post this on their facebook page and they marked my comments as spam! I will not be silenced!
Placed order on 29/01/18 payed next day delivery,
Tracked order to couriers then it got lost!
Emailed sports direct re ordered said next day delivery this was on the 06/02/18 still waiting.
Not even answering emails now or the phone.
Company is a complete joke won't be using again.
Today, I have learnt the hard way of refunds at Sports Direct refund policy. Anyone wishing to make a purchase at this retailer, please make sure that you don't want to return product due to not being suitable. I now have a credit note that I am unlikely to spend at this retailer! The lack of customer service speaks volumes in the way that this company trains it's colleagues.
Ordered a product on line for a birthday present and it arrived with a store security tag attached the magnetic pin type.
Tried to contact sports direct but its impossible to speak to them, all numbers you can dig up on the internet (none on their website) go to an automated system telling you they are busy and then disconnect you before it's possible to speak to anyone!
Took product back to my local store 15 miles away - set the alarm off then some spotty teenager who removed the tag actually chuckled - no suggestion of an apology and when I proposed a delivery refund as it's £5 that they charge, said it was not possible have to contact online - yeah right how!
Last time I will ever use this company - if you value any semblance of customer service look elsewhere this company does not care, it only wants your money then gives you the finger. Old school cowboys with a shopfront.

Can i rate in negative! M f****** pisssed off with their delivery system. Sport Direct sucks! Such a poor online customer service. Whenever u call them they have high call volume and they don't let u stay on the phone. They just straight away asks u to call back n the line gets auto disconnected. The myhermes delivery people are bunch of stupid folks... they never come in the morning or neither they leave any contact number to reach them. I always order online and other courier people delivers my stuffs without any hassle. This is driving me nuts now... please deliver my order either on weekends or before 9 in the morning any day. I have emailed sports direct customer service and the idiots did not bother to reply! My friend is magazine editor and he is going to post Sports Direct true colours soon.

Bought rackets, racket balls and goggles. Ordered 19 May, 2017. Informed me would be 25 August for delivery as no racket balls. So I cancelled the racket balls and got at the end of June. I was never refunded the racket balls even after repeated emails.
Ordered a Tracksuit Large got half a tracksuit small.
Useless I'll never give them a cent again.
Now to pay to send it back.

Answer: Stores in the USA selling hiking boots usually have thick socks for customers to put on before trying boots. If this store does not, it would be wise to wear the socks you plan to use with the boots when trying them on. Caveat emptor
Answer: On the issue of not refunding the purchase price, is that common policy for retailers in the UK? I'm surprised there isn't a government agency for consumer protection that looks into / bans this.
