Terrible Warranty Practices

I ordered a 500 watt JL Audio mono block amp from Sonic. I hooked the amp up in my Tesla to a single 10" sub I had. The amp provided very little power to the sub. I contacted Sonic to return the amp, which was subsequently denied. I then asked for a simple exchange, denied again. Their hassle free warranty is ridiculous. As another noted below, go with Crutch Field if making an online purchase, you will be happy with not just the product but the service as well.

Absolutely terrible customer service. Never received my speakers and the refused to work with fed ex to find them. I paid $2000 to get nothing and can't get a refund. Never shop with this company

Subpar on all fronts

Terrible. I'm not one to write bad reviews. 90% of what I write is positive. I'm making an exception here. They sent the wrong speakers, they sent the wrong wiring harness, they sent the wrong bracket. I'm OK with errors. I'll work with you to fix it and get what I need. These folks are rude, dismissive and once they have your $$$ they could care less about mitigating an issue.
I'll spare you the blow by blow, but they refused to accept the items back for a refund (go talk to E-bay. Not our problem) and pretty much hung up on me.
Buy your speakers somewhere else. Everyone has some issues with sending the wrong equipment. That's fixable. This company will not address a problem or even attempt to be polite about it. I'd give them a zero but it wasn't an option in this forum.

Amazing customer service

I had started a cart and didn't finish it. A sales rep named Adam reached out to me to see if there was anything he could do. Not only did he find me the stuff I needed he also got me a better price than I could have thought was possible. Will definitely be back for more soon.

I ordered a receiver and install kit all "in stock." I will receive the receiver this weekend and the install kit at an undisclosed time in the next two to three weeks. They shipped half of the order before telling me the order would be split (I assume because they make you pay for return shipping and hope I will keep what they sent). It turns out "in stock" meant the install kit was instock at the factory warehouse and would ship out from there, not from the sonicelectronix.com warehouse. I should have just paid the extra few bucks for the reliability of crutchfield.

On May 8th I ordered Merchandise from Sonic Electronics, It is May 31st no Merchandise. They shipped it, it got lost. Emailed them a couple of times and they stated it has to be over 14 days idle to reship or refund. Well its been over 14 days and I contacted them again no reply... AGAIN NO REPLY... NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS!

In the past, I ordered a stereo that came broken, the lady I spoke with was nice and said they would send me a new one and get me a refund for another item I purchased. Got the replacement but not the refund. More recently, I ordered to filters, both around $12 dollars each. I got a package with just 1. I sent the pictures they requested and of the one item they sent me. As of 5/22 it will be 2 months that I wont have the product I ordered. My emails are now getting ignored and at this point I will just consider my losses and never order from them again. I would recommend Crutchfield as they have never taken my money and ignored my e-mails, actually if I think about it, I never had to email Crutchfield's support on every order, I just get what I pay for and it works.

Custumer service is the worse

I bought an crimestopper sp-502 alarm remote start from this place and it was defective verified by the manufacturers tech support. Tech support told me to get it replaced for a new because is still under warranty. Sonic will not replace the unit unless I completely uninstall the entire unit and I have to pay for shipping if I want a replacement even though I just need the alarm brain replaced to the entire wiring specialist after I spend a couple hours installing they refused to just send me the new alarm brain because they can't do that so they said. I could understand if I was trying to get over on them but all I need is a replacement of the defective unit why should I have to pay for shipping and have to uninstall and then reinstall all the wiring when there's no need but obviously they don't care about costumer service they only care about taking your money and then screw the customer I will never buy from them again and I hope no one does either. I would like to give them a negative 5 stars but I don't have that choice.

Avoid them

I've bought from them in the past, and had zero issues. Quality has gone downhill, customer service does not exist, and you're better off going to their competitor. Don't bother with the return (the speakers were the wrong size). I'll just resale the garbage you sent. Stay away, go to Crutchfield.

Wow I just had one of the best sales persons ever named Adam Price. He was very patient and understanding about a radio I needed for my Toyota Tundra. Bad return policy when ordering

First, I have to say I had been happy with Sonic until now. It begin when I ordered a MB Quart amp, before I Contacted them to ask about delay. I got email to contact them to let them know how to proceed. I called and got customer service (Natasha) very helpful by the way, let me know i have option to wait unknown wait, cancel, or pick another similar one, I went with finding another one. Went with nvx, don't know product my self. So helped me with that, got this amp and swapped out the amp to a currently working system. Blew main fuse as soon as I connected ground. Internal short. Called to get refund, no refund policy for "installed product" I was so disappointed to hear that and I said I didn't use and use for weeks and then return, It didn't work at all, how would I know if it worked or not if I don't install! Only exchange. No help from the 3 different people they passed my call to. Was happy until this. Hope you don't have this experience. I can honestly say I won't recommend or gamble with them in future..

Slow support from customer service

We were offered a unique promo code by Sonic Electronix, but we entered the code incorrectly during our order. We contacted the company to ask for a credit to honor the promo code. It took the company a week to deny our request...
Edit: we finally heard from a competent customer support agent and our issue was resolved.

False Advertising!

Placed an order and was told "1Day shipping to Tennessee"! THIS IS A LIE! I placed an order on Monday morning and told I would have it on Wednesday. It did not ship until Tuesday evening and not scheduled to arrive until Thursday. Customer Service just responded "it has shipped"! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM IF YOU ARE IN A HURTY FOR THE PART.

Horrible Company --- Don't use this company ever! They charged my card for product they NEVER sent. Then they sent me a bogus tracking number that didn't track anywhere near my home, they sent me a photo of something that was NOT my home! They said to check my home, around my home. Then went I went to cancel it since I didn't receivve it, they sent me return stuff, when I called 'they sent me 'return stuff, then I caled and emailed them "i can't return something I NEVER got' then I called AGAIN, explained that I never got it. Then they sent me a affidavit, filled that out, had it notarized, scanned and emailed back, faxed it. Three times. The confirked it was received was told it would take 7-10 days, then got told when I called it would take 24 hours, it has been 3 days -- it is now 1/24 and they have still not returned calls/emails. I consulted an attorney and a legal aid and have paperwork prepared to file lawsuit to get my $$ back for product they never sent to me. All I want is my $$ back for something they never sent. I don't want a credit to their company cuz they never send product. I want my money back to my credit card! This company is a joke and I would not recommend them. Don't use this company for anything -- buy elsewhere or go to Amazon, you will get it from Amazon. This company steals your money and doesn't follow thru and sends product. They are scammers and theifs! Save yourself from being ripped off!
