I have purchased many items from this company, most products were to my satisfaction such as style, colors, and quality; however, processing time takes few days before item is shipped and then it takes a very long time to recieve it. I had paid extra fees for fastest delivery, still it takes a long time to get it. They should do a better job with faster processing and faster delivery.
The last couple of time I ordered items from Soft Surroundings I was dismayed that after I got my confirmation email, I was told the item would be available but not for a couple of months. Okay, so I agreed to wait. Then at the last minutes I got emails indicating that they item is no longer available. Geez, I don't need to purchase goods from this company when they advertise goods they cannot produce.
I ordered 3 items recently and did not receive a confirmation; therefore I called Soft Surroundings They told me the order did not go through and to call back the next day to confirm. I called the next day and was told no order. Therefore I placed another order with a representative. The order came. The next day a duplicate order came. I was charged for both orders. I sent one back unopened. I called and was told I would be credited for the duplicate order. I was not credited. Both orders were on my credit card statement. I called again and it was argued I had only been charged once. I had the statement in my hand with both charges. I was placed on hold forever. It ended up I have to dispute the charges with my credit card company. I will never order from SS again. The customer service is outsourced and is poor to say the least

Was in touch with Gabriella in San Antonio who sent out the dress that day. (Friday) and I received it on Monday!

The purchase was billed and shipped the next day but the return took 12 days. By that time the size I needed was out of stock and the dress could not be exchanged. Because the dress couldn't be exchanged I was not refunded the shipping. The sizes are not consistent so it is difficult to determine what size to order. Not paying for shipping again at the tune of $15.95 which seems rather high for a light weight summer dress that weighed less than a pound. I believe the shipping price was very inflated compared to other on line purchases I have made.
I purchased a cold shoulder top, quite expensive, and the shoulder seams and front seam are outside, the side seams correct. Rediculous and customer support insists it was intentional. Poor quality, poor design and nothing washes well. Made in China!
I have stopped purchasing from Soft Surroundings for more than a year now. When I first started shopping in the stores and online, the quality was excellent. The shipping charges were crazy and not competitive. Still, I shopped there. Then the quality of the workmanship started going down, design concept is good... workmanship is horrible! A flannel shirt with a cute design on the back that came off after 3washings in the gentle cycle, a nightgown that lost its elasticity after a few washings, stitching that unravels, pin holes near seams that cause unraveling in garment, etc., etc. I shop where there are no shipping charges and the quality is consistent. I was a pretty consistent shopper. Its a shame.
First off I used to love Soft Surroundings. I'm not sure what has happened but they have gone to overpriced cheap clothes that if they aren't backordered for months they just rarely fit right! My husband bought me a 250. Gift card 3 years ago and I have only purchased a lousy overpriced tshirt with it and somewhere lost 50. At least! They don't credit the gift card back they send you "gift certificates" with odd amounts on them with no dates. You can't look up your past purchases on their website. Its ridiculous! The customer service people are so rude!
I placed an order for two items on April 5th. One item came right away, the other back ordered and was to be shipped May 15th. I waited but no order or email explanation. Could not phone them because if Covid. Emailed customer service- my order will not be shipped until July 29 th. An almost 4 month wait is unacceptable. Canceled my order.
I am SO sick and tired of receiving their catalog, falling in love with something and not being able to receive it for MONTHS. Ordered a simple white T on 1/5 and was told it would ship on 1/26. NOW they are telling me it will be 3/21 before it ships. Obviously they are taking orders and THEN manufacturing. This has happened to me more than once, and BEFORE the pandemic, so can't blame that. Previous orders meant for vacation didn't make it either. VERY FRUSTRATED! PS. Love their stores.
I ordered a dress, back ordered 2 months. Cancelled it. Ordered jumpsuit. Back ordered 1 1/2 months. Cancelled, but they shipped it anyway. Called company and they had charged me original shipping for an order I cancelled! Refunded me $10 less total for a cancelled order! I cancelled their emails and catalogs. NEVER AGAIN! Back to Chico's. Much better company with excellent customer service. They are also way too expensive for the quality.
I ordered a robe from Soft Surroundings for my mother on Dec 5. I was assured the robe was in stock and would be delivered to a store near her home in California. Before Christmas. Since she is elderly, I planned to pick up the robe at the store and bring it to her home on Christmas Day during my brief, 3 day trip to CA. Now I have received an email saying the robe is not in stock and will not be delivered until after Christmas (and I will no longer be in town to pick it up and bring it to her). The whole surprise is ruined and I will not have a gift for my elderly mother on what could be my last Christmas with her. I will never buy from this store again and BUYER BEWARE. When I contacted the store about this they could only make excuses and say they were "sorry" but made no effort to make it right, and did not offer any kind of refund, discount or expedited shipping. Just said it was not in stock and I was out of luck. NEVER AGAIN.
I ordered a Christmas present in November from Soft Surroundings. No indication of the item being on back order and the website let the transaction through. As I was wrapping my Christmas presents, I realized that the item hadn't come. When I looked online at my order, it said the item was not scheduled to be shipped till February 20,2020. When I called customer service, they confirmed that the order wouldn't ship until February and there was nothing that could be done. They said they didn't have access to inventory in local stores to even check for me if that item was in stock there. I called the local store myself and the item was not in stock. I called the customer service number again and they were in no way apologetic or helpful with the situation. Never received any email updates letting me know they item was delayed/out of stock. Two days before Christmas and now I don't have a Christmas present. Thanks Soft Surroundings. Won't be shopping with you again.
The package is still in my car. 3 dollar stores did not process soft surroundings and the fedex store was not at the delegated location address! Your customers should not have to go through that to return merchandise. I have spent thousands of dollars at soft surroundings; however, I will no longer Sharp at soft surroundings or any store owned by your conglomerate. AND JUST LOOK AT YOUR 2 rating that backs my experiences.
Takes FOREVER to get your order. 12 days and still waiting... I'm not sure if I would ever order again. If Soft Surroundings doesn't care if I get my order in some kind of a timely fashion then I don't care to order from them again
Placed an order on 3/17 that was to ship to the store. I was told it shipped on the 18th, but just got an email on the 31st that it arrived at the store that is now closed. No one to talk to and have sent 3 emails asking that the items be shipped to me instead under the circumstances. No response from anyone. Even the store manager who I spoke to twice and was aware of the order is unresponsive now. I know the unexpected closures are challenging but expected more from this store. Very disappointed. UPDATE- out of the blue my order arrived at my doorstep. No notice or reply from customer service. They must be swamped! My items are nice and only going to return two things that I just don't like. I'll upgrade my review to 2 stars.

Soft Surrounding had a sale that when I clicked on the "WearNow30" "ShopNow" box I found the item right next to the sale box. I could not get it to go through on the purchase page so I called and spoke to Michelle and then her Supervisor, Jodie, and was told I could not get the plaid tunic for the 30% additional though the sale box was set right next to the item on the page. I was told it wasn't included in the sale though it came up when the shop now was clicked and NOWHERE DID IT SAY "up to 30%" or "limited items included" or under the item "not included in the sale". Nowhere! I explained this was false advertising and they did not budge. I've been a customer of Soft Surroundings for some time but no more. In fact, I ordered 2 of the tunics at Christmas and planned to order another but they just lost at least once customer and i will share with others my experience and advice.
Purchased on Final Sale - So they switch from China made to Peru made. They are still overpriced. I like the flow and feel of the fabric of the Alora top, slipped it on and the fit is fine. THEN I did the dreaded, let me see if my bra show test, and I saw those inserts and was like wtf. I've order other tops in 1x and the arm holes were perfect. I had previously order 2x I could fit my thigh in the arm hole, I fixed those myself. I think instead of adding inserts because they are famous for making massive arm holes, maybe they should consider contacting the manufacturer. This is obviously pattern for SS. How about a normal adjustment to your arm holes. I personally think the inserts are an afterthought for poor design and make the top look tacky and sloppy, and the arm holes on the 1x are almost as big as the 2x top I previously bought. I will dry the top and see if it shrinks before I think about breaking out the sewing machine to alter another one of their tops
Very disappointed! I paid over $89 for shirt that, the first time I washed it, it came out with the seams all twisted and completely out of shape - and I followed the washing instructions! It looked great out of the box, but that was it. The quality of the shirt is terrible! It will now be going to Goodwill or I'll be painting in it... I am so mad that I spent that kind of money for shirt I could only wear once!
I had also ordered the Wilhelmina Shirt on the same order, in White. When I finally received it (it was on backorder for weeks), it was so thin, I sent that back for a refund. For the prices they charge, I was expecting a much higher quality of clothing. I won't be ordering anything from them again and the catalogs will be going right in the trash.
Answer: I would have said, forget it. Their service is very slow, both receiving and especially returning. Plus the shipping to you is high and then you pay a terrible amount to return it. I won't buy from them again. Linda.

Answer: There is obviously a valid reason that there are NO reviews of items on their website. And that's because the overwhelming satisfaction rate of most customers is horrible! Save your time and headache, and skip this company over.
