SmileBox

I have used this site for so many occasions, for birthdays, grandchildren's visit, death of family members and there are so many other occasions that would take me for ever to mention. This is one of my very favorite sites. The templates and music is easy to use to send your family and friends current photos that makes a difference in their life.

Wife purchased premium account for purpose of creating graduation presentation. After loading the photos and music plays very inconsistently. Cover takes 1:45 minutes. You cannot set times for individual slides. At the first paid tier you cannot display full screen or download. Viewing the code of a shared linked it had profile details including creator's gender/dob not very private. Turned out to be a massive waste of tine for our purpose. Back to powerpoint.

I have been using Smilebox now for what I think is 4 years. I have used it for Event invitations, greetings and photo slide shows. Its easy to use, and has plenty of versatile design options. I am going to start using the newsletter format this year, as I have an audience group I want to reach out to. Recipients of my smilebox creations go crazy over them, and have commmented on how fun they are regularly. Nice little system, great for people who need some graphic polish and are not techies in use of custom design software tools.

What is smilebox and how did it appear on my PC. I have no intention of paying anyone for something I did not order and do not know what it is. So far I rate it zero (0) stars and would like an explanation from the purveyors, whoever they may be. It is a bit cheeky to stick something on to a PC without their prior knowledge or permission.

I have been a smileBox customer for quite a while. I have used almost all of the formats and look forward to new ones. I love that you can change your own title. The ideas are endless. SmileBox is the first part of my pages. I like to print 8X10 sizes. I then put them on a 12X12 acid free paper, add embellishments' maybe some ribbon. I give this program 6 stars and would recommend it to everyone I know. Thank you!

So, I wax playing around with a digital flyer for my church and stumbled on Smile Box. I made the flyer for a light contest and thought it was cute do I went to buy 1 mo th of the subscription at what they site said would be $5. They immediately charged $60 to my card. I sent an email saying that I was not authorizing a full year and they tried to keep my money and give me lifetime membership. I said no thanks refund all but the 1 month at $5. They just srnt another email stating they'd be keeping $10 for my 1month membership. Stay Away! Bad business!

I have had the same experience as so many reviewers here. They charged me for a year of upgrade, and then my project wouldn't save. It was a slideshow for my mother's memorial. I wrote and told them that, thinking someone would get that adding a monetary rip-off scam to someone's grief is a really bad thing to do. But that's what they do, apparently. No refunds, no matter what. They suck. Don't use.

Not user-friendly
I was investigating programs to use for a slideshow for my son's rehearsal dinner. I clicked on Smilebox and first thought I was getting a free trial, then I only had options to pay, I selected the five dollar per month option but was charged $59.99 for an annual subscription. The program did not do what I needed, was not easy to adjust music and transitions. I contacted the company ( electronically as that is the only method allowed) and they told me they have a no refund policy. Very disappointted. I do not recommend Smilebox at all. Not user-friendly at al - the program nor customer service. I feel completely taken advantage of and ripped off.
