Bought my ticket from them on June 16 and cancel it the same day because it was pending and not confirmed. When I called to check the status of my tickets I was told that They put me as a stand by ticket. Today is June 29 and never got my money back they have the worst customer service

Terrible company

My daughter and her partner are stuck in NY after flights that were booked through this company were cancelled and no one contacted them to rebook. Can't get any $ back or any help! Don't but your tickets here!

Absolutely the worst online ticket service. It is basically a group of scammers SCAM! Stay away.
I bought a ticket through them they modify my ticket because airline cancelled the flight. Guess what?! They want me to pay for another ticket thinking I am a stupid thank God this country there is law?
They will lie and intimidate you to pay them by saying your flight was cancelled. Stay away you will regret the worst customer service I have ever seen

IN ALL HONESTY I WOULD NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY EVEN HALF A STAR. THEY LOOSE YOUR RESERVATION AND THEN CHANGE YOUR FLIGHT ITINERARY WITHOUT NOTIFICATION. WENT THROUGH 2 AIRPORTS WITH MY CHILD THAT WAS ON MY ITINERARY AND TICKETS TO GO TO MY DESTINATION BUT ONCE IT WAS TIME TO RETURN BACK HOME THEY DID NOT HAVE MY CHILD'S INFO ON MY RESERVATION AND I HAD TO PAY FOR HER A SEAT WHICH SHE DIDN'T USE BECAUSE SHE SAT IN MY LAP THE WHOLE TIME, AS TO HOW I BOOKED IT IN THE FIRST PLACE. CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS RUDE AS HELL AND ON TOP OF THAT IT WAS SOMEONE THAT DID NOT SPEAK ENGLISH CLEARLY. VERY UNACCEPTABLE... DO NOT GO THROUGH THEM, YOU DO NOT GET YOUR TICKETS UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE, AND AMERICAN AIRLINES WILL NOT DO ANYTHING TO HELP IF THESE PEOPLE SCREW YOU OVER BECAUSE IT IS A 3RD PARTY SITUATION.

Smartfares is not a legitimate company. Their email address, phone number, and chat support go nowhere. They sold me a bogus ticket on Copa Airlines and when I had a problem, someone named Elgyn spent 30 minutes trying to convince me to change my flight date. When I finally demanded a refund, he refused to correspond with me at all. Avoid at all cost and if you come across Elgyn, you'll know that you're not getting any help; cut your losses at that point.

They got my business by redirecting me from another travel agency's web page. I was over billed 200$ and not until I refused payment did they contact me. (3 weeks later) They still had not booked my flight! Watch out! Bad deal these people.

This website is an absolute CON, they are charging in the name of the pandemic. They will show you cheap tickets online and then call you to tell you that they have to charge you extra because of over booking. Basically they leave you stranded on the airport. Please stop buying from them, they are coning so many people, let's spread awareness and bring this business down!

Review will take too long to write. Totally let down after couldn't fly with flexible ticket. Zero assistance from customerservice@ travelerhelpdesk.com, emailed 8+ times over 3 weeks. Total Disappointment, Will never trust Smartfares.com or Wego flights ever again, thieves in wolves clothing!

DONT BOOK WITH THEM!

I wish I would of read reviews before booking! This is my first time ever flying and had the worst experience with these people! They are the worst! I've trying calling multiple times and they answer and hang up, once they do decide to answer they are rude and don't help at all! They were trying to make pay $300 per ticket to cancel and I once I told them that was to much the girl miraculously was able to change the price to $100. Which I was ok with paying whatever they give you flight credit that allows you to only use with them once I tried to rebook with the credit I had which was $750.00 they charged me an additional $300 because supposedly the tickets had gone up but that same day frontier send me a receipt with said the ticket was only $613 and I still had a credit. What the heck happened to the extra $300 and remainder of the $750? I called and they even wanted me to email them what frontier had sent me because they were shocked I had received something. But never resolved anything I try calling and they no longer answer. At this point I don't even know if I will be able to board my plane! STAY AWAY FROM THEM!

Stay away from smart fare, they are scam artist. Dont give them your credit card number. They charged me twice for one ticket and didnt return the full amount. They never answer, they lie and They promises something and they dont give you an email and they want you to take thier word for it. They never do what they promise. I got stock twice in Europe because of thier scam.

I got a confirmation email of my flight and got to the airport on time. Once I was there, LATAM informed me my flight was canceled and they did not have my contact details because SmartFares did not send it to them. I bought a new ticket on a different airline because my COVID test results would expire the next day. I contacted SmartFares and they denied it was their fault, I did not get any email from them on my spasm/junk folder informing me of the cancellation either. SmartFares only allows me to fly before the end of year, I can't transfer my flight to any or change my destination. This is theft!

SCAM

Site will say you have paid but it is actually an "authorization" from what I am assuming due to the small amount it initially charged my card. It gave me my reservation number for tickets. Next day, I go to the airport and was told that there was no reservation. So I called their support number and when the "representative" answered they asked for my reservation number right? I gave that to them and they said yes we have you here. But they didn't know my name or where my final destination was (RED FLAG). The supposed representative kept going back and forth with me and then I was like why are you guys scamming people, he hung up. I then called from my brother's cell phone and got the same exact guy. Currently in litigation. Please do not get scammed.

They sold me a canceled ticket and on the day of my departing they never sent me a notification that my flight had been canceled. They could not refund me and instead suggested I purchase a ticket 2x as much as what I had originally paid. Wasn't worth it, I bought a completely separate new ticket from somewhere else instead.

I was double charged for a flight and the day before I was suppose to leave they called and told me my flight was over booked that there was only one seat left at the time of my purchase and tried to get my to pay twice the amount of the original ticket. I asked for a refund they told me it would be a $25 Cancellation fee ok that's fine but now when it came time for my refund to be given they have been giving me the run around saying it's been processed but there's nothing for my bank to see so when I call back the put my on hold all to get hung up on and they swear it's technical difficulties. PLEASE DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE FOR YOUR TRAVELING

I purchased a ticket from this website. They got me from Turkish airlines. Two days later when I was trying to arrange wheelchairs, I found out the flight was canceled. First of all nobody contacted me about the flight cancellations. Then I called smart fares and told them that the flight is canceled. I asked them to refund my money back. They refused to give me my money back. When I contacted Turkish airlines they told me to contact my agent. Finally after about 10 calls they offered me to refund $300 less than what I paid for the ticket. This is the worse ticket agent I have ever deal with. The agents are not professionals at all. Please avoid dealing with them.

No functioning support (calls will be put on hold indefinitely, emails won't be answered for weeks). Seems highly fraudulent and you will end up spending more money than planned, AVOID!
