Someone called me to arrange seats, phone went dead half way through call and hasn't called back?
Immediately after purchasing airfare ticket received an email stating they were not able to confirm pricing and need to call them ASAP. The email did not have signature or any other relevant info besides the phone number to call. Received a call within minutes from them where they tried to charge my card for additional $$ due to price increase. When looked online, same ticket was available at same price, still. Told my representative to refund me but suddenly he was able to match my original price. Next day I received another call from them trying and forcing to upsell me on flight protection which I declined. Haven't received any reservation confirmation email so I had to call again to check the status. This time I was told my ticket did not include bags (that I added and paid for. Also made a video of me selecting and adding bags that increased my total cost). At that point I requested to cancel my ticket and refund me. They confirmed and the ticket will be canceled and will refund me. Now, two weeks later (after two more calls) I haven't seen my refund or any emails from this fraud company. Both two times they confirmed the ticket is canceled and they issued refund but I haven't seen it on my end. Decided to call my credit card support at the end. Do not waste time trying to buy from them. Save yourself a headache and pay an extra few $$ with reputable companies.
When I made the booking the site gave me a total amount to pay in rands as I had selected this option.

Very efficient and professional. I usually fly with other companies but decided to check out SmartFares. I was surprised by their low prices and professionalism. I'm happy with their service and will fly with them again soon.
Not much to add expect dissapointment with the difference in price quted on site and the final result charged on the credit card. There should be a notificcation on site that TAAG only sells tickets in USD unlike other travel agents.

I located a flight from MEL to YVR and booked it using Smartfares. I was the advised by email of a problem & to ring the number. I did this & was then advised the price had risen by $500.
I finished the booking with Gotogate for the same fare!

The next day you will receive an email to call them immediately because they were unable to confirm your flight. When you call them back, they will try to sell you another flight at a much higher price. SCAM SCAM AVOID!

Answer: Yes. They stated because of flight increase they canceled my flights. Then they wanted me to pay a balance of what the new increase was. So disappointing. I paid for four fares. They took the funds from the bank n then canceled my flights.
