Booked a flight for 2. After clicking on book now then waited for an email for confirmation of flight. Few hours later didn't receive anything so gave a call on the number given. Spoke to an agent and was told that the booking was cancelled because the fare which was booked on was not accepted by the airline and was asked if I wanted to continue with my booking then the fare was increased by $600nzd. Very disappointed I xxld the flight.

Directed to SmartFares from Kayak after picking my flights. Entered all details and price to be paid showed exactly as it had on Kayak, however when I came to pay I got a message saying sorry we are unable to complete your booking, please contact us. I called up and although eventually got my flights booked I was told I would have to pay another $160 as some flights were not yet released for sale and the price shown online was only an estimate. The person I dealt with was very helpful though. Just disappointing to not get the online quoted price honoured.
Deliberately displayed a fare that was unavailable, took the credit card payment, and within 1 minute emailed me to tell me that the route was not available at the fare purchased - essentially knowingly "selling" something that was not available at the time of the purchase. It took a lot of effort on MY part to get a cancellation of the "fare" and funds paid to the credit card provider. I will never use this organisation again.

I was charged more for the flight tickets compared to the amount shown on the website and then I was informed that I will get the tickets in 24 hrs. I asked for the refund and I got it but the whole experience was pathetic and I will never recommend using smarfares.

Purchased an international ALL business class trip, when trying to select the seats, they were in economy class, not even economy plus.
After 2 months of trying to fix this issue and going through rude customer service representatives who either put me on hold over 65 minutes or hung up the phone, I am still not able to get a business class seat or a refund.
They charged me for business class on the cheapest economy class.
I have the trip confirmation documentation and receipt showing is business, they laughed at me.

The next day you will receive an email to call them immediately because they were unable to confirm your flight. When you call them back, they will try to sell you another flight at a much higher price. SCAM SCAM AVOID!
