These guys have very sleezy business practices. I ordered a pair of glasses from them and they immediately billed my credit card. Then they told me that my order would be delayed while they waited to get my glasses from their vendor. After waiting 8 weeks, they finally shipped them. When they came, they were the wrong size and they put the prescription in upside down. These were progressive glasses and they put the reader portion on the top of the lenses. When I complained, they told me I had to take them to my optometrist and have them write a letter saying they were incorrect. I told them I was not going to do this and stated I wanted a refund. I sent a total of 11 emails asking for an RMA so I could ship them back and that I wanted a credit. Every time they replied it was a different person who refused to read the original email request so every time I had to restate the issue. They do everything they can to stall giving you your money back! When I finally got an RMA, I sent the glasses back. Once I got the shipping notification they received them, I sent another email telling them they had the glasses and I wanted my money back. There response was that I had to prove they received the glasses back before they would credit me. Even after I did that, it took them over a week and two more emails before they finally gave me my money back.
Avoid these guys like the plaque, they are so sleezy it makes me ill. If I hadn't have lived through this experience, I wouldn't have believed a company could be this bad.
Ordered ski goggles 3 weeks ago. Never arrived took 3 days to receive a reply from someone. Now in a situation where I cant order from another online company as its too close to my trip. Asked for a full refund cant see them processing this quickly. Although they took the money off the card straight away. Dont use and stay well away from this company

First of all I just want to say that after I bought my glasses off SBG, I went and found all of these bad reviews says it was a scam, and the glasses were fakes, so I got really worried about it. But I bought a pair of YSL glasses, they were cheaper than anywhere I could find. They kept me informed throughout the whole proccess (sending emails and whatever). The glasses are totally authentic, and they were packaged well. If only they had faster shipping they would get 5 out of 5. But I was totally aware of how long it would take and was prepared to wait. It didnt take too long, 13 days. Bottom line, would totally buy from them again.
WARNING! What a scam. Their site said they were a Canadian company. They process your credit card then you get an email saying it you have flagged by their system as a risky transaction. They will release your order if you email them your passport or drivers license. There is no way I am giving them a copy of my id. Can you say IDENTITY THEFT. It took them 4 days to call me to discuss and the call came from a call centre in Shanghai. I have reported them to Visa for fraud
Honestly, I was quite sceptical at the beginning with that web site, the reviews where between 1 stars (fake items, shipping error, etc.) and 5 stars (simply perfect)
I ordered a pair of Tom Ford with the optical lenses and 1 month after I got them!
They got problems ordering the glasses put I send and e-mail and they've answered it within 24 hours to explain why my order was still on process.
They do ship from Hong Kong, that's why I was scared to received a fake product. But not at all! My frame and the lenses are perfect and i'm really satisfied.
My only critic is the time. The whole process took about 1 month, but I saved more than 400$ on prescription lenses + frame, so it's worth it.
But, be careful with every web site you order on and check reviews.
Smartbuyglasses was an excellent place to purchase my glass frames. They tracked the order from the moment I paid - keeping me up-to-date, and letting me know that I could leave a signature if I wanted the package left at my door. When the glasses arrived, they were perfect, in a beautiful box, with two "surprise" presents - a key ring glasses "fix kit" and a cleanser with an additional cleaning cloth. I'm darn impressed.
Excellent service from smartbuyglasses... got a good price for a set of designer frames with prescription... the order took a long time to be delivered due to unavailability of specs at supplier but I was constantly kept updated by smartbuyglasses team... I even got a small token for the delay :)
In general, I had a positive experience with smartbuyglasses. The specs did arrive a little later than I anticipated, but that was due to backorder issues (I guess it was a popular frame) and not due to the competence of the smartbuyglasses staff (I even contacted a different on-line retailer about the same frame, and they told me it was out-of-stock). I received frequent updates on the status of my order and was even granted a discount for the delay in my order. I would choose smartbuyglasses again and would recommend it to friends, as well.
I'll admit that I was a bit skeptical when ordering from SmartBuyGlasses. The price seemed too good to be true, but I went ahead and purchased a pair of Persol eyeglasses based on other positive reviews I read. I received the eyeglasses today and they are authentic. I am so happy with my purchase. Throughout the whole process I received updates on my purchase. (Sure, it will take a bit longer than something like clothes, but they don't keep all those glasses in stock. From a business perspective it doesn't make sense to keep stock of all those products that someone might buy one day. Keep that in mind.) With that being said, my package arrived quicker than expected. It was wrapped in bubble wrap and with a nice touch of tissue paper carefully protecting the lens case like I had just bought it from a high-end boutique. It came with the eyeglass cleaning kit, as advertised. I would definitely recommend SmartBuyGlasses to everyone looking to buy authentic eyeglasses at a reasonable price.

I have ordered my sun glasses two weeks ago, they said it was a risk transation and that I had to send a photo of my passport because I`m from Brasil.
I sent my photo 6 times, yes SIX TIMES, and two weeks later I don`t have my glasses. I already asked them to call me, and they don`t call me. THEY HAVE MY MONEY AND I DON`T HAVE MY SUNGLASSES and i`m going on a trip this week...
I`m awfully regretted for buying with them... every contact that I have with them with e-mail they take a HOLL DAY to answer, and NEVER explain to me what`s happening, and when will my glasses arrive...
Don`t waste your time, go to another website, or to a shop. It`s not worth it the stress, really...

Absolutely disgusted! Placed an order 2 weeks ago and is still processing. It is impossible to get a hold of anyone. Have emailed and done the bull $#*! call back feature numerous times and have heard nothing. My credit card was charged immediately. Worst customer service I have EVER experienced.

Today I received on time the frame I ordered.
I can only thank and appreciate for the excellent and pleasant service I received from this company.
Everything was on time, and exactly as ordered.
Excellent experience. I received my Persol sunglasses quickly with emails from SmartBuyGlasses telling me when they had received them from Persol and when they shipped them to me so I was not left in the dark wondering where they were. The glasses arrived well packaged and in the original Persol box with case and Persol paperwork. The price was excellent. I'm happy.
I ordered a new pair of prescription glasses for myself and my wife, she chose from smartbuyglasses I chose mine from a UK company (Toni & Guy) both were Ralph Lauren frames - the UK company advised a delay in sourcing my colour choice from the manufacturer but managed to deliver in 10 days the smartbuyglasses ones arrived after 18 business days (23 total) what is not obvious from the website is that smartbuyglasses is a Hong Kong based operation and needs to be a consideration when choosing suppliers
Once received & on trying them on it was obvious to my wife that the prescription was wrong making the glasses unwearable, to be fair to smartbuyglasses once informed they did offer to regrind a new lens ship out and reimburse the cost of a local optician fitting to the frame, but to expedite matters I asked a High St optician to check the lenses and the report showed that one of the parameters from the prescription had been omitted - I asked the optician to supply and fit new lenses to the glasses and invited SBG to reimburse the cost (£39) their reply was they would only reimburse the cost of the lens to a value of £25! At this point I have given up arguing for the sake of £14 - you need to think very carefully about using a remote operation to supply your glasses & the website is somewhat misleading & gives the impression of a UK operation which it is not & there are better local options available

We completely understand your disappointed feelings regarding delay situation of your order processing. Despite we are doing our best to process all orders within advertised time (5-11 working days), some orders may be delayed due to the brand's popularity/exclusivity or limited production line.
Regarding the lenses it happens sometimes that the prescription is not perfect fitted or processed for the user and for this we bear the responsibility for. We always offer customer options such as sending uncut lenses and reimburse the fitting fee the local optician would charge for the service or refund the lens fee fully and customer can buy new lenses at the local optician. We are sorry to hear that the options was not too your liking, but we always work towards to resolve the issue in the best way.

Great experience. Lots of nice designer frames for a fraction of the price. Plus very cheap prescription lenses. Received my glasses fast and they were perfect! Didn't even require an adjustment. Same glasses in store were $600+. Got them for 192$.
I ordered a pair of Persol sunglasses from smartbuyglasses. Originally, they were said to be in stock and I received an email saying my order was received. A few days later I received another email said they were mistaken and they were out of stock. I was given a few options including choosing another pair with free express shipping, but I chose to wait for my chosen pair. I was given a rebate. Upon finally receiving my sunglasses in the mail, I was disappointed to see there was a manufacturing error on one of the arms. Given the amount of time spent trying to get the sunglasses, I decided to suck it up and keep them. I was given another rebate.
I commend smartbuyglasses for their great customer service, but I was disappointed in the many errors that occurred during my order.
Great selection, fast shipping, authentic products, the customer service is also fast and efficient. I'll buy again for sure.

I make order for a ray ban optic and it came to me after 9 days with good condition and very clear lenses, the glass is 100% original ( i go to local distributer and confirm) and also i save around 75.00 $ from this purchase, i will use this site for all my orders and also i will recommend to my friends.
I ordered my glasses a month ago. After many emails which were responded to timely, if vague in informative information, I finally received shipping information today. I saw the glasses at my local optometrists office so I am hoping they will be authentic and know what to expect. I bought them online for cost savings but am not sure if waiting 1 month was really worth it. Hopefully I am satisfied upon arrival.

Eyes are precious and irreplaceable, so it is highly recommended to have an eye test at least every 2 years to be sure of your own prescription.
