I was paranoid before I even pressed submit to make my purchase and I'm sure glad I took a chance. As with many other offers in life, you can't put your cards down on a deal to good to be true but she I compared deals you find at the local mall Sunglass outlet, the deals are close but not quite as good. For instance, I recently received a $50 off $200 and $75 off $300. I also noted some other deals similar to SBG but the glasses were outdated. If you find glasses such as Tom Ford at a local outlet for $395 with a $100 rebate I'm certain SBG would beat the discount price but I can't say how much. All I know is I was going to pay $220 with $75 rebate plus tax on my Gucci glasses and I didn't have my wallet. When I got home I decided to do some research on the glasses and I stumbled across SBG and noted the glasses were $178 firm and I decided to make the purchase. The next day I called to cancel order and I spoke with a customer service rep, Armi, and she put me at ease and sold me into waiting as well as terminating my paranoia about getting a non authentic product. Anyway, I'm sure glad I waited because the glasses came in with cleaning kit included as well as a $50 savings. I brought the glasses to a local dealer and I was attempted on being accused of walking out with a pair of their glasses. Everything was perfectly matched so I'm not certain on negative reviews about made in China because stop and think, all corporate manufactures have a base in China and made in Italy will be posted on the in this case the frame with CE stamp. I've recently made another purchase from SBG and the only complaint I have at this time wait. As with the Gucci glasses the wait was only about a week but this time I've waited a couple months and I recently had to change the lens color but the glasses were confirmed and plan on being delivered to me this week of 4/5/15. I would definitely recommend this company regardless if a few weeks wait, you won't be disappointed with the product.

Ordering was simple and straightforward. I like the virtual sunglasses you could try on before purchasing. I will buy from them again in the future.

I live in New York City and after making an appointment to get my prescription and get the glasses that I wanted at a local place called Collen Optical their quote was around $800. I asked the sales person write down the model number of the frames that I was looking for; came home when I'm smartbuyglasses.com and found The exact same frames for $200. The $700 price at the other store included my insurance even with no insurance discount or deduction my frames were that much cheaper on smartbuyglasses.com!

After getting my eyes examined through my health plan, I found a pair of glasses I liked at the brick-n-mortar optician for almost $700. A friend has bought glasses very inexpensively on-line without any problems, but she doesn't need bi-focals like I do. Regardless, I decided to risk it and found SmartBuy offered the same pair of glasses with all the same options for half the price. I provided SmartBuy with all the relevant eye info--sphere, cylinder axis and checked my old frames for their size to make sure I wasn't going too large or small on frame (those numbers are usually on arm of glasses with a little square between the first two numbers), and my new glasses arrived in about two weeks. Got them out of the box, tried them on, and they are just fine. SmartBuy has a great selection of well-known brandnames, and when I decide to replace my prescription sunglasses, I will probably be returning to sight. My only complaint would be that I didn't know I was ordering from another country; I may have opted for the insurance if I that was made clearer in the process (but the glasses came in a box inside a box wrapped in bubblewrap, so chance of damage seems very small). Now that I have actually ordered on-line prescription glasses without any real problems or issues, I don't know why I was so hesitant or nervous.

I am not very familiar with shopping on line. As a matter of fact my purchase of sunglasses with SmartBuyGlasses was my first purchase ever. I found the web site easy to use and navigate. My order was placed, paid for and arrived on time undamaged.

I think I will be adding a camera to my PC to try the virtual fitting next time.(I still need reading glasses.) I would recommend this site to anyone even those with limited computer skills like me.

When I put the glasses on, it's like looking through a fishbowl. I tried to contact support and never heard back, but of course I get a ton of emails from the marketing dept. Then I read the return/exchange policy. Basically, If you open the box, take the glasses out and even look at them, you're screwed.
Yes, you save money on designer glasses. But I'll have to go to an eye doctor to get different lenses anyway. Costs the same in the end.

Ordered some prescription sun glasses with thin and light lenses:

Pros: Easy to order, quick delivery, good quality lenses and a very competitive price.

Cons: The thin and lights were not "thin and light" in my perspective, they were much thicker than I had expected.

I had a bit of ping pong between customer services and had to escalate to a manager to finally resolve the issue however in the end they were very responsive and managed to resolve my complaint.

Overall I think this sight is Fab for lower prescriptions and very competitive and easy to order, but If you have a higher prescription I would advise you to phone them before ordering so you can make sure you get the right lens for your frame.
