I signed up for one trial class which i didn't even complete and nothing since. Their email went to spam and so my account was charged for premium. After contacting them all I got was 'refer to our refund policy'. After reading through all the negative reviews on this site, seems like this company is living on scamming people out of their money one way or another. I would stay away at all cost!
This is an amazing school. Had the best education and experience of my life. Going for a second Masters. Only "you" can make a difference to what is important to "you". The instructors are the most caring and accomplished professionals I have ever met.
The site has a great learning platform in where each day you can do a little bit of coding and if you're consistent with each track, you'll master languages, structure and retain the information way better than if you we're learning on your own.
The tracks are well structured. I just started as a web developer but feel like I don't have a solid understanding for anything yet. The tracks made it easy for me to keep moving forward. Making my dream of becoming a developer more accessible.
There are two distractions:
1. I can not use left and right arrows to make steps through a timeline. And play/pause invokes when I am trying to press on a video progress bar to set up a certain time moment.
2. My classes collections don't synchronize between the web and Android applications.
Don't take the free offer. Courses are basic and it is difficult to communicate and cancel. My account has just been debited for a chunk of $ with no use from this site. Cannot find any means to contact this company to discuss and cancel. Please don't make the same mistake I have - keep clear of Skillshare! Feeling ripped off and scammed!
I received an unexpected charge of $99 DESPITE cancelling my account before the trial period was up. I haven't even used skillshare in months. I have emailed their support team, but after reading these reviews i'm getting more and more disheartened. I cannot afford an unexpected and unauthorized payment of $99. Why is this happening to SO many people? Skillshare can you get on top of this please? Your platform is great, but this billing situation is horrifiic.
Hi Angie — I'm sorry to hear you had this experience! If you haven't heard back from our support team yet, please send us a private message with your email address so that we can make sure we get back to you. We should be able to help out!
I got a free trial for 30 days and only watched some courses for 30 mins and forgot to cancel. And they charged $168.99 dollars for a whole year! Money wasted! Especially during the pandemic when money is tight. This just makes my situation so much worse!
I contacted them to cancel my plan and receive a refund and they straight up rejected me.
Skill Share online learning really helped me in pursuing my dream of becoming professional photographer. There affordable online course, which I'm using for last few months, help me sharpening my skills in photography.
It's a great tool to learn and keep up to date with programming. For beginner and
Intermediate developers it's perfect. Skillshare is even coming out with more advanced videos like building desktop apps.
The content could be considered okay. But the cancelation process is a scam. It is very hard to cancel your subscription and if you do, Skillshare just re-enables your automatic payments via paypal

I started a trial for my company. The courses are old dated and poor quality. We cancelled a week into the trial.
A few days ago I'm looking at my card statement and see a charge from them for $99. I emailed them and they refuse to refund.
Scammers! Will talk to my lawyer hoping something can be done.

It will tell you to sign up for a free trial but charge you 96 dollars at the end of the trial period - without a single email confirmation about charges. I wasn't sure how much I'd be charged. When you use e.g. PayPal or Amazon at least they give you an email confirmation about what you purchased. You will only know you have been charged if you log into their account and click into the tiny fonts "billing history" (which I never did since signing up, whoops). And 96 dollars?! Who needs to pay them that much when you have EdX, Coursera and Youtube? I love their concept but hate the sneaky culture. Lower the prices and be more transparent for a sustainable business model and reputation build-up. Not the way to go for a long term business. For now, AVOID.
I'm sure the content is good, unfortunately I had a death in the family and forgot about my free trial. I did not receive any email telling me they would be charging me for an ANNUAL membership - a truly horrible tactic you would not expect from a company whose 'ethos' is apparently dedicated towards learning. I have messaged for a full refund but looking at some of the other reviews this does not look hopeful. If I do not receive this I will make sure I put the time in to warn others of this companies abhorrent tactics as often as I can.
A great project, took part in business administration and computer science. The courses are very well built and sophisticated, but not too heavy and also the discussion boards help very much. The future of learning and if soon also graduations like bachelor etc. are made possible.
Teaching through projects and having a great community and
Support system to lean on.
This is a great tool for learning a new skill set. I am also really
Enjoying the designing courses.
Changing careers. It started as a hobby but now I am a designer.
I deeply love Skillshare!
There are so many different types of learners out there and with Skillshare, you have so many options to choose between teachers.
Also, until now I have never encountered boring or bad content. Everything I learned there has been a blast <3!
I'm not sure what the issue for these other reviewers is. I signed up for a free trial and they warned me that they would charge once the free trial was over. I got an email that they were going to charge me before they did. I kept the subscription because the classes on graphic design are much better than what I've seen on YouTube.
