SCAM
December 10, 2017

I automatically was charged IDR1.321.383 (equals to 98$) yesterday - need a refund badly - because I won't be able to pay credit card bill. Never intend to use the annual plan and yet they rip me off without prior notice. Horrible experience.

Skillshare unable to complete a basic software SaaS requirement. I wanted to continue to use my paid subscription however login email address was cancelled due to business sale. Authentication system inadequate and of course Skillshare kept the remaining balance whilst not letting me access account.

Skillshare also unaware of Australia data sovereignty and privacy charter regulations and laws asking customers to send passport to license for verification, even though verified via PayPal transactions and receipts.

I had a problem with getting access to my account.
The assistant was helping but then suddenly stopped replying. I tried to reach her again and even sent another request through the website, but still to answer whatsoever. Now I can't reached my account which I paid for. Very dissapointed. I used to love this company.

You don't have to jump in at the beginner level if you already have foundational knowledge of a certain subject, and Skillshare makes it easy to start at a level that makes sense for you without having to waste time with content you already know. On the other hand, content is offered for beginners of any subject as well, so it's very adaptable to each situation. Continuing education and training is never a bad thing, so I don't really think there are situations where it's not appropriate to use.

SkillShare is great. Everyone there is a great teacher, they all know their stuff, and they're witty, at that. I fully recommend Skillshare. If you're an aspiring businessperson, web developer, web designer, or coder of any kind really, you should definitely try it out.

My son signed up for this with my account and suggested I use it, several months ago. I wasn't interested so he cancelled the account. We were not charged again until recently. He contacted them hoping it was just some kind of mistake. When he did, they refused to reimburse the $15 fees, stating something about "company policy". Really? It's company policy to defraud people? We are still trying to sort this out.

Many free YouTube tutorials for the same material! But I came to love Skillshare's interface and ability to explore new classes that other students have enjoyed. Their classes on Lightroom have been immensely useful in learning how to manage my collection of photographs!

Scam
December 25, 2020

I signed up for a free two month trial with a discount code. They went ahead and charged me for a full year after the trail ended, even when I tried to cancel *during* the trial. I'm a student who pays tuition and rent, and being charged $99 twice for absolutely no reason is garbage. I tried to get a refund but since their refund window is only 7 days I couldn't get any of my money back. Avoid at all costs. Just watch a youtube video or something instead, the quality is not what they say it is. Would give zero stars if I could.

Scammers -- stay away
March 13, 2018

A bunch of crooks. May their karma come slithering up their doorstep and settle into their collective lives 3x3x3. They charge $99 without authorization and will not refund. Fortunately banks, paypal and other online services can get your money back. Save yourself some aggravation and stay away.

Don't try to become an instructor there. They remove your courses without any notification. After 3 days they send you an automated message saying stuff like this:

" At Skillshare, classes are first and foremost, educational. While reviewing your classes, we found that they did not meet our standards for minimum educational value. "

I uploaded 5 classes, and 4 were removed. That's how stupid they are. Stay away from this website.

Skillshare has definitively the worst costumer service I ever had! It took me 15 minutes to get a refund from Amazon prime. I will do my best to make people aware of Skillshare policy We're unfortunately unable to provide refunds for monthly charges, but () Id be happy to make recommendations!.

They will scam you after canceling the trial.

Thankfully my bank categorizes skillshare as "fraud", so the transaction was stopped.

However, I also had a chance to try out some courses. They are all really basic and the value is nothing you may think it is.

I like the course layout and paths already defined with ability to create custom paths and share with other colleagues easily. There is so much offered in a very wide area from sales to technical and specialized course options that are designed to help the student obtain the related CERT. What's even better is the ability to download the app on mobile phone and keep the studying going on the go.

I was bored in my last career and decided to try teaching myself web design for fun. I stumbled across Skillshare and decided to try it. Three months later, I've built many websites, gotten many freelance offers, and successfully started two web startup companies. It's the best money I've ever spent and I highly recommend Skillshare to everyone I meet interested in breaking into the tech community.

I don't know who it was that introduced me to Skillshare, but it was the best few months I have ever had of inspiration and learning a new software program. I have not limited myself to only digital art, but also have learned so much about other mediums. The teachers are wonderful, the feedback and the community of others are exceptional. I am glad I signed up!

Upon learning about Skillshare, I thought it was going to be just like one of the other learning sites. You sit down, you code, you leave, and then you retain nothing. I was completely wrong. Skillshare introduces a fascinating way to teach code/development by interacting with its students through inspirational videos. The videos are colorful, rewarding, and offer the newest information regarding today's web standards.

Skillshare offers a great service.
I found the classes fun and instructive. Even did a few courses I wouldn't have thought about - so good for extending my interests. Communications are friendly. Platform is easy to navigate, though the ios app version is a bit clunky.

I got bank notification of payment to Skillshare and I didn't authorize this. I have no premium membership with them and clearly don't want it. They made me pay for trial clearly and also now I can't edit my payment details (to remove them) and there's no option to cancel subscription.
