SiteJabber emailed my website saying we received one bad review (that was a complete farce) in an effort to gain our business. I'm assuming if we reached out to them, they would say "Pay $X. XX per month to have control of the reviews that go online on our website!" Nice try, SiteJabber.
Who knew writing reviews would make you feel so much better! I love being able to tell people about the best experiences I have had and some of the horror stories to warn others. <3 good job Sitejabber!
How many people take the time to go to SiteJabber to give 5 stars? I didn't, I went here to check out if the online stores I want to use are legitimate. Thank you.So glad to find this site and hope it will grow and prosper.
Note to all those who review online businesses: If you LOVE an online store, explain the details of your transaction(s). To be credible, readers want to know 1.) what you purchased - details if color / size / quality matter 2.) how often you have done business with them 3.) Your personal experience with any communication - ESPECIALLY if it's great.
I'm looking forward to reading all HELPFUL reviews!
Thanks for your feedback. :)
Hi Carol, thank you for sharing your experience with us!
Sitejabber, on my profile, my "view count" goes up, even when the review isn't publically visible
Also I've commented on other reviews. My comments are visible from my own account, but don't show when I log out?
Reddit calls it shadow-censoring... twitter, facebook and possibly others do it.
Your update button doesn't work. "updating" causes reviews to disappear (still visible from your own login, and the view count still mysteriously going up slowly, of course)
You still initially get a chirpy email response saying "thanks for reaching out". Then nothing
Highly suspicious...
(I mean, at least you don't have "trust" in the name, like some review sites)
Also your review edit field is tiny... encouraging minimal text in reviews?
Always check your submissions are visible when you log out of your account, whatever website you're on.
Hey there, we understand this took place a while ago. If you’re still experiencing issues, can you send us more details at sayhello@sitejabber.com? We’d like to learn more about your experience and will be waiting for your email.

We appreciate you Arsalan!
I like visiting this website, because there are so many reviews about most every website. I believe people's opinion, I can agree or disagree with some of reviewers, write them comments and it's great, I mean, I saw lots of really bad websites and was angry of them, wished to know place, where I could check and find a website, I'm interested in. People discuss websites at Sitejabber, share their experience and it's very important for us, because we live in the time, where social media plays a huge role for human's life.
I shop mostly on line so I always check site jabber for reviews. It's helped me not to order from companies who don't have a good reputation. Usually if the product is from a different country there appears to be problems.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us, Shelly - we appreciate you.
If site jabber is all about honest reviews, then why do they have an influencer program? Influencers are PAID to influence or change someone's decision. I'm starting to wonder how "honest" this site really is.
Hi James, we do work with influencers to an extent. We understand influencers may get a bad rep, however, we only work with influencers who agree to give honest, balanced feedback – with no bias towards the positive ones. Authentic reviews are at the heart of what we do, whether from influencers or everyday people.
My First time Experience with site jabber! Looks like its a waste of like. I posted my First review. After completing writing they've told it may be great to post a Video review. Which I did. Soon after I got a mail saying it will be approve in 2 Days. Today after 3 Days when I checked my Profile it was not even found there? Like seriously? This was my First and worst Experience with a Review site
Hey Pablo, we're sorry you had a negative experience. We know it's been a while but we'd love to try to make it right with you.
Our team has sorted your issue out and your review is now visible. Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience. Please reach out to us at helpdesk@sitejabber.com in the future if you experience any issues again so we can help.
I think this site falls short when it comes to its original premise of identifying good or bad websites as the number of super active reviewers are very small and they fill up most of the content. In addition, people say that their reviews have been modified by the website...
Here's what sitejabber does:
1) Wait for a regular citizen (such as myself) to leave a poor review for a web site
2) Send an email to said web site saying, "You got a poor review. You'd better check it out! If you pay us $400, we'll start the process of ideally getting the poor review(s) removed.
3) My poor review disappears, except for when I'm logged in, thus giving me the illusion that people can see my review.
4) I complain to sitejabber, who acts all innocent and claims a glitch, and they put my review back up.
5) A day or so later, lo and behold, my review is gone again.
Hi Meg, we know this is from a while ago, but we appreciate the opportunity to provide some clarity. Businesses cannot pay to remove negative reviews, and reviews can only be removed if they violate terms (see https://www.sitejabber.com/faq#fake).
If you can’t see your review when logged out, this is likely due to our Review Filter and algorithm that attempts to display only authentic content by screening certain reviews. It’s applied to every review, positive or negative. The filter isn’t perfect, but it is dynamic and always learning. As a result, you may see reviews move in and out as the filter learns more about the trustworthiness of the reviews of a particular site. We apologize for any inconvenience regarding that review. If you have further questions, feel free to reach out at sayhello@sitejabber.com.
Cool! I'm a college student and I've been looking for a good site that could help me with Translation! You helped me all the way guys. Nice job,:)
I will recommend SiteJabber to my classmates and friends now!
This is the worst kind of evil there is: Evil disguised as something good. A wolf in sheep's clothing.
When I first saw SiteJabber and started reviewing I thought it was different. I thought it was great. I thought it would improve the internet.
I've been proven wrong by finding lots of "spam" reviews that tilt and sway the stars to either side of a site's review ratings. It's fine if you follow certain reviewers who have proven their merit. But I now can't fully trust the overall rankings of webpages on the site.
After years of using the site: this is my last review. Farewell to the few decent reviewers out there. I will not participate in something like this. It's time for a better internet.
Hi Bob, thanks for your review and for pointing that out. We just had our review team look at those reviews and remove them. We try hard to prevent fake reviews by running sophisticated software, but because of the volume of reviews we get and the increasing sophistication of companies that write fake reviewers, we also rely on community members like you to help us spot them. If you see other reviews that look dubious, please email them to support@sitejabber.com so we can take a look as soon as possible.
Thank you,
Alice

It is nice to finally find a site with reviews by actual customers. Most sites seem to hire reviewers and you can't believe what is being said. I am interested in both the good, and not so good, reviews. After reading them I can make up my own mind. Keep the ratings honest. The web needs your kind of service.
We are grateful you took the time to leave us a review, Fred.
First of all... Sigh... Isn't this ironic?
And second of all...
Thanks, SiteJabber, for being such a good cause for everyone! I can't thank you enough for making sure that you stopped so many bad sites from giving people viruses and whatnot.
Also, your little penguin characters are really cute. <3
This is a great company to partner with if you are an entrepreneur! Amazing staff and extremely talented. They have helped us out of some serious issues and I am glad we have them in our corner as we grow our business!
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a rating. We appreciate you, Liza!
What happened to the site? It used to be an awesome and credible service. Now all reviews are mixed up, why don't you sort them out by date? How do you decide which review is relevant? Lots of reviews are outdated. I have to scroll down like crazy in order to find what I'm looking for. Sitejabber became really awkward to navigate. It's a shame that such a great site is messed up now.
Hey Don, we know this review is from a while ago, but we have a function that sorts/filters reviews by relevance, recency, and rating. Hope this helps.
For a person who has been the victim of multiple scams and cons to the point where i didn't even trust the internet anymore, i would like to say thank's to Sitejabber for restoring confidence back into me. Now i know that others are also looking for legitimate websites and business opportunities out there, big and small, and we're fed up with being taken fast. Life is too short and bills get too long!
Sitejabber.com is a great website for writing reviews about various websites and businesses. Users can write reviews, check their profiles, and see how many upvotes and views your content received. I like this website more than yelp and the other alternatives, because of its unique feature set and user interface.
Thank you, Aaron. We’re thrilled to hear you’ve enjoyed using Sitejabber.
I really love this website, I cant believe how much money they have saved me. I only wish I had known about this website a long time ago. If I had the info that this site provides a year ago I would not have made several purchases that ended up being fraudulent websites. Its awesome to be able to get it out to the public what many of the sites are about. Our $ is precious these days and nobody has the right to take advantage of anyone. Thanks sitejabber for helping to open the book on scammers.
We're so glad we can help, Athena =)
Hi Caitlyn - we have your back! :)
