They are changing my dad for check he sent in they said it didn't have enough funds he's got more than enough he pays them off every month they a crooks they will get as much money as they can I told him to quit paying them I would big scam
I used the Citi Shop Your Way MasterCard for a few weeks before I tried to make airline reservations. It was declined. I had to use another card which was accepted immediately.
Then I called the telephone number on the card and waited between five and ten minutes. The rep told me that she could see that my purchase had been declined, but she could not help me. She would have to transfer my call to another department. I waited about fifteen minutes on hold listening to three messages that said that my wait time was five minutes. I disconnected the call.
I called again the next day, waited five or six minutes, and went through a similar process. However, this time the rep took my information and said that he would return my call soon. I still don't know why my card was declined or if this issue will persist.
This card is going into the back of a drawer and will be used as an emergency backup.
This started in October. There was a charge on my account which I did not make nor authorize.
It was clear I did not make given there was a foreign transaction fee attached. I live in NC and the company was located in Delaware, so how on earth could I have possibly purchased the service since it was made overseas? There have been several calls made to Shop Your Way and 3 letters I have received saying I am responsible for the charges. (Which I have already paid by the way.) And they are refusing to give my money back.
I paid off balance a $2. Bill was sent to me. I called they agreed it was a mistake. Bottom line they sent to credit bureau as missed late payment. My score went down 97 pts. I called wrote letters for over a yr. Nothing resolved. They gave me the run-around. Horrible people in resolving problems that is their fault.
Please ditch this card if you have one. I have over ******* points and for the past 2 weeks I can not redeem my points. I want gift cards and I have tried to redeem on any brand of gift cards, even the most useless ones. All I get is "Order cannot be completed at this time". I discussed this with Customer service. They told me to try tomorrow, but the same issue. At one time they said I'm on VPN, which was not. I have logged in on different mobile devices, laptops, in different cities, and on different common provider networks. Nothing. Can't redeem. This is a useless, very frustrating program. Don't do it or get off this useless Shop Your Way. It is a scam.
Got an e mail today: "An important document regarding the subject line above has been posted to your Document Center.
Because your letter may contain information that could impact your account, please review it as quickly as possible." But, can't get into my account, and their so-called customer service is non existant! Just a phone tree taking you to a hang up...
It is amazing that you can put in accurate information and 100 percent of the time SYW MC will say it's inaccurate! I have 120 dollars to redeem in rewards and 4 different customer service reps can not solve my issues. The last rep told me I couldn't have been on the phone for an hour because they just opened 10 minutes ago... really? I'm lying? Wow
I had a Sears card for many years and they switched me to Shop Your Way. Seems like a normal credit card until I go to redeem my points. I can't redeem my points. The checkout never works. I just get the message "There is some problem now, please try to checkout after some time ". The message is written like a fraud message, I think it might be a scam. Very disappointing.
Cancelling this card that I did not open is tedious. Sears selling my info to SYW, and then opening an account in my name should be illegal. I called to cancel and explained several times to the agent that I want to cancel, do not want their promotion money, and do not like how this account was opened. I had to disconnect the call when she transferred the call, I do not have time to chat with these crooks.
I will never use this credit card again in my lifetime and I encourage everyone to do the same! First off, I have NEVER disputed a credit card charge until this past December. I submitted a dispute in January regarding a charge from December. Went back and forth with the cc company, provided everything they asked for and pictures to support my claim. Received dispute letter from cc today and they have "no recourse available to recover the funds" so dispute is closed on their end. You, the customer means nothing to these people, use your credit lines elsewhere
About 4 months ago (in april, it is now july) i ordered a T-Shirt and a pair of pants. The pants just now came TODAY, with the shirt still not arriving.
I have sent multiple emails to their company about it, and although it takes them a few days to respond, they have been at least a little bit friendly when i've been rude af. However, I've asked for a refund 2 different times, and they said they "could not do refunds as the clothes have already been shipped" and that they "would make sure i get my clothes."
The clothes are very cute and affordable, but the time it takes for them to ship is tremendously long.
I don't recommend this place.
Just like many others posting on this site, I have been unable to redeem over $47 dollars in rewards that I earned through purchases. I have made countless number of phone calls, sent emails and snail mail to no avail. I have spoken to several reps who seem willing, but unable, to help. As of last communication, the issue was blamed on IT and the buck was passed on to that department. I won't be using this card ever again. Sears used to be a great company - no wonder they are now gone. I had to select a rating on 1 as no selection or Zero was not an option.
It took me MONTHS to make a purchase of my $65 rewards credit. Everything I was interested was either not in stock of not available for shipping or in store pick up. I would call and ask fore help and would be on hold for long periods of time, got disconnected and/or get someone that could not speak good enough English to make it through a conversation. It was the most frustrating and annoying process I ever experienced. Felt more like a scam than anything! You could not even use your rewards to put towards your balance on your credit card bill like other credit card reward offers allow. This is a joke and I will never use this card or service again! Total SCAM!
I will give the redeem your rewards a 1 star as I can't go lower than that! If you have 2 hours of free time and the patience to be transferred a half dozen times, this is up your alley!
After getting over $30 in rewards, I ordered a carpet through Kmart. Never received an email from Kmart saying I can pick it up.
Made another order through kmart for a $33 pillow, order was cancelled in the next week, did not receive my points back.
So, accumulated over $60 in rewards and took the necessary steps to redeem it but got nothing. Just wasted time looking for eligible products on their website, and trying to contact them for help.
These people are trained to verify ALL your personal information but provide very little support. I was barely able to remove a mystery person's name from my account, but, when I asked how did their email and name get associated with mine in the first place, well, customer service was very sketchy about that, but protected the privacy of the mystery person. And, my points are missing from the past few months, so, could the mystery person work directly for Shopyourway.com???? You decide, buyer beware.
Sears sold us a bad expensive fridge so part of their so called fix was points here. First all good crap cannot be redeemed with points, then we get an ice maker and its broken. Now I try patio cushions and stuff. I order three matching cushions and they send one and cancel the others. They also have the rest ot the order screwed up and when I finally get customer service I cannot understand a word she says and I'm still waiting for the email I requested.
Never again we should have sued over the fridge!
Had unauthorized use of my card posted to my account. Spoke with four different reps on four different occasions who all advised me there would be no charges and no interest paid while the investigation was underway. Not only was I charged payments, I was charged interest. They sent communications to the previous address I lived at which hasn't been on file for over four years and I have proof yet they lied about that as well. Their whole scheme is to lie and steal. Do not do business with these crooks.
Advertising big and bold that you get $100 cash back in rewards. Minus the fine print! After delivery of your appliance, you get $10 a week for 10 weeks. Each $10 expires at the end of that week (in other words, only good for 7 days). You can forget about accumulating any points ever again! Sad, sad that is come to that for Sears. Not saying I won't buy, but I will not even consider their shop your way rewards in my purchasing decision.
Citibank MC uses Shop Your Way for their "rewards" program but there seems to be little to no coordination between the sites so I'm not sure which company to criticize more. Citibank site shows we have over 11,000 "points" that can be redeemed but the Shop Your Way site shows zero. At any rate, my experiences with Citibank MC has forced me to move our MC balance to a CC company with more reasonable rates for folks with very good to excellent FICO scores and one who knows how to build a more useable website with real rewards.
Answer: Yes, it can be used like any other credit card. Just beware that the points you earn will be hard to redeem. This said, CITI, the bank that issues the card, offers (me at least) very valuable cash back incentives to use the card. These incentives are unrelated to Sears or the ShopYourWay catalogue.

Answer: It's a scam in the sense that you can't use your points in the way they advertise. They are very few items in their catalogue you can actually buy. Most are not available for shipping, not available in your area or out of stock. That's a scam!
