The point returns seem attractive until you try and use them. First many products on the site are not eligible for points, including some that are or were Sears products! Second almost all items are available on other sites for less money than for other sites. Finally, shipping on some items may be delivered by a service that is so slow that makes the purchasing painful.

NEVER AGAIN

Purchased over $400 in points July 2018. All went well. 2nd purchased $171 in points in August 2019. That was a disaster. They charged my credit card! SHOCKER. It took me 4 months to clear this up. Sears/syw does not have a way to reverse the charges from my credit card and place them against my points! WHAT?! After 4 months of calling SWY/Sears and CitiBank and cursing like a mad person, Citi Bank decided to credit my credit card.
(To my advantage: This is interestingly. Because Sears had no way of going back into their system to charge the purchase to the points, they ended up losing. Because the bank credited my credit card, and I ended up with an $171 in points that I can now use for future purchases! Go figure.

I WILL NEVER USE THIS SEARS/SYW CARD AGAIN! It is not worth my time and stress. All the items are OVERPRICED anyway!

My 77 yr old Mother has been fighting this company to get 3 unapproved charges cleared for months now. The company submitting the charges (Coast to Coast) is stating her account is cleared with no record on file of her credit card and no future charges will be submitted.

Shop My Way claims they are researching the first 2 charges and will not allow any future charges to post BUT this is a LIE! Just 2 days ago she received a new statement with the same amount from the other lying company!

Since they want to play with their loyal elderly customer, we'll let her attorney handle this from here! See you and the other lying company in court!

Runaround with no return

I have almost $150.00 is rewards points. I've been trying to order an item for 6 days using these points. I've tried online and by phone-we have called over a dozen times, and have been transferred probably 30. At this point, no one seems to know why I can't apply a single cent of these points to my purchase.

Unusable, dishonest scam

With the closing of the local Sears & Kmart stores, every time I attempt to redeem my points, the item I want is not available in my area. If I choose delivery, it cannot be delivered to my zipcode. Am I supposed to move to an eligible area? With the rate of store closings, no one will be able to redeem their points for anything. I am done wasting my time with this scam. I truly believe nobody wins anything. I will say however, when it began, I was able to redeem my points for some meager, but usable household items. I had them shipped to the Sears store & just picked them up. Goodbye, and they can just stuff their points wherever they are deliverable.
Sorry, no photos. Nothing to see except the inside of my empty mailbox.
Also in the clothing area most items are out of stock or size selection is limited to mouse or elephant sizes. Why just not shut it down and be honest for once?
Oh, that's asking way too much.

Scammers. Please avoid them. They never delivered my credit card even after making repeated requests. They moved my credit statements to new card number and I am stuck with old card which doesn't match with my statement. Terrible and rude customer service. No wonder they are running out of business.

We purchased a washing machine for $800 and received weekly amounts of $15 per week for approximately 20 weeks. After traveling to the Sears store about 7 times, speaking with the SYW Department (at different levels) about 10 times, and being promised that everything was solved 4 times, we have NEVER been able to use one penny. We have spent hours on this and we have been lied to and given the run around, even though we have all of the documentation. It has been a horrible experience, and we do not plan to go back to Sears.

Trash Program

I have tried to use this website and its garbage. I have lost more points than I have ever used (which by the way is 0) in this program. The Customer service is outsourced to other countries, which makes thing even worse, because all they know is to read a script. Then they have the nerve to charge you shipping on times they say are "Free Shipping". Either it is or it isn't. If you see it coming toward you, run the other way!

I bought a diehard battery from sears in Dec 2018. Since all the sears stores closed in my area, I had to go to the Ford dealer to troubleshoot my vehicle. Battery had a dead cell. Ford replaced it. Sears refused to give me my money back on the 8 month old, defective battery they sold me. They would only give me Shop Your Way points so that I had to spend more of my money at their pathetic store. I just wanted a good battery, not more junk from sears.

Breach of Contract
August 22, 2019

I bought an oven from a Sears store. The deal was that I could get $50.00 off of the purchase if I opened a Shop Your Way Account. So, I did. I payed the full amount of the oven less $50.00 within the first billing cycle. Now they are billing me $50.00 and adding late charges. I have called three times to explain that I was supposed to get the $50.00 deducted off of the sales price for opening the SYWA. I have paperwork to prove it.
I have been told it will be credited on the next billing cycle. Three billing cycles have passed and I still haven't been given the credit. I even called the salesman and he couldn't do anything about it and he gave me a number to customer relations. I have not called customer relations yet. Also, every time I called about my account balance I was put on hold and the representative never came back to me. I would be put back into a wait state waiting for another representative. I wish I would have never bought anything from Sears. They are not standing by their promise. Sears can not be trusted. Buyer beware!

They shipped an item to me not using the original box. They then used 3 boxes and a lot of shipping tape to send the item to me. I received the broken! I then had to some how but the box back together, because Shop Your Way wouldn't send me a new box or the proper box to ship the item back. They received the item and here it is 2 months later and I still haven't received my refund to my debit card like their email stated.

Their online sales department also sucks! They don't know how to listen. When they don't want to hear what the problem is or they don't know how to fix the problem they put you on hold or they take their headset off and walk away. They even transferred me to Citibank awards department.

They refer to an escalation department which you can't talk too and they don't know how to give back to their customer a refund.

Never use Shop Your Way!

Do Not Get This Card!

These people are scammers. I've been a customer for years and finally had to dispute a charge. These people have lied saying I didn't send them information that I had to send 3 times, every time I call them every representative tells me something different about the same situation, the have a new policy everyday, and they will lie, cheat, and do everything in their power to not give you your money back. I've never dealt with a credit card company that we can't speak with the person handling our claim, or that works against me instead of help me. Its really shady how the investigators hide behind the scenes and scam and lie to not approve our disputes. They ask for one thing and when u send it, they lie and deny your claim saying they didn't receive the information. Whoever is handling the claims needs to be fired because they are crooked and obviously don't know how to do the job. They act like it's going to kill them and cost them to return your money from a dispute. Do not get this card or do any business with this shady company. The shop your way rewards department is also $#*!ed. I have a lot of points that are not showing on my account, I called shop your way, they said I have the points but they don't know why their not in my account to shop, they transferred me to sears, (when they are supposed to be the ones handling the shop your way points), then sears transferred me back to them, and they transferred me back to sears. This went on all day and no one knows why my points aren't in my account to shop online or in store, and they told me if I want to use my points I have to call and place an order over the phone to use my points. This whole company is $#*!ed and now I understand why sears has been shutting down. They don't know how to handle ANY business.

Don't call them, they won't help you. They are more anxious to get you off the phone than anything else.

I called to get help with a problem linking an external credit card to the Card Link Partner program. Twice they redirected to Sears credit card services because they heard I had a credit card issue and the third time they put me on hold to research it and then hung up after 1 minute.

They are useless people and a disgrace to Sears.

Horrible experience

I still did not get my new card in the mail and my card expired. I have to pay last month bill but they are constantly calling me harassing me for payment. I just spend all my tax return paying half this card off. Every time I call to discuss when will I get my new card they continue to tell me I have a payment to make and we just send cards out. When i want questions answered they are short with me but they call to harass me about my payment. Before shop your way took over my payments was about a week late and I never received calls from sears. As soon as I pay this credit card off I am going to close my account. I hate customer service.

The best rewards program for saving money, by far, easy to earn points from sears, kmart, or their online partners, FREECASH gives you extra discounts too. I've gotten several thousand dollars in points from them in the last few years. It's legit.

Currently shop your way is undergoing account number changes, yet, because I receive my statements online I was not aware. No notice was sent to my residence and customer service REFUSED TO SEND A NOTICE OR identify a way I could get the new full account information ( ie send it to my email on file). So, I must call in to receive information because online statements are not available! This is UNSAT! Sears SHOP YOUR WAY SUCKS!

*Report issues with SYW to FTC GOV federal trade commission

SYW is a total waste of time, the email said use your points... I ordered a blender... the cart said I am paying $7 so I entered my charge info. I immediately saw the charge for full price with my bank. No way to cancel or contact customer service. I wondered if I would even get to product or be able to return without issue.

I did get the blender, returning was a bit tricky, you must use the TINY number on the packing slip while using their web return process. Oh and surprise... surprise it failed... please try again later... I immediately resubmit the form again and it went through. Item retuned, money eventually recieved.

Total scammers.

I came here to read other reviews of Shop Your Way, simply because I can't figure out how to use it! I'm confused as to where I go to see the dollar amount that my points are worth and how I apply them in the cart? And, a few items say they are eligible for free shipping but then there is a cost for shipping. Much of what I am seeing is not much of a deal anyway. I would like to close my account I think and get a better rewards card. Something more simple. I like cash back or gift cards that you can use in store. This shop your way is definitely not how i want to shop. I'm nervous to put in an order from previous reviews, if I would even get my order shipped!
