Updated 2/7/24: After posting my initial review, customer service got in touch with the host and moved things along. I've now received my coat. I'm still taking off 2 stars since the communication was only improved after leaving a public complaint but the service ultimately delivered.

Original 1 start review: I wanted to buy a coat from Poshmark Canada and couldn't get it shipped to the states directly so I decided to use Shippn. I picked the host who had 5 star reviews (now wondering if they're fake). Made my purchased, used her address, thought all was well. IT WAS NOT. The tracking shows delivered but the host hasn't updated the order, nor has she or customer service responded to my numerous messages asking for an update. I understand things may come up and you can't ship it out right away. But disappearing with my paid merchandise and failing to communicate is theft.

Excellent communication with the Shippn support team. I was always wondering if there was any type of delivery service that would allow consumers to order from unavailable shops and still get it delivered to the country the shop doesn't ship to. Ofcourse there was doubts about the reliability of Shippn at first, but I still gave it a try and wasn't disappointed. The host did an excellent job as well and everything goes as fast as possible. I have already placed my second order yesterday. People that are complaining about shipping cost, you can also talk to the host to ship it in a smaller box...I think they are more than willing to help you with that. The handling fee is acceptable as well. People need to be paid with money, not with praises. It is still cheaper than getting it personally, right?

These guys are crooks. Their Buy-for-Me service is a total scam. You have to pay up front and, once they have your money, you'll never see it again. I paid over $2,000 USD for an item that was never delivered. They then admitted that it wasn't delivered and promised to refund my money, but never did. Shippn is a great idea, poorly and unethically implemented. I'll never use them again.

The guy I was working with to receive my parcel was on vacation or something and wasn't even available to receive the item. Pretty ridiculous! And it was a limited item so I was banking on this service to work. It's not a scam, but I would say unreliable. Because why would you try to receive an item if you're not even home, lol. In the end I lost $15 that wasn't refundable and had very little communication throughout the process. I initiated most of the communication. Not a good experience but worth trying if you are desperate

My first purchase with Shippn was great. Customer service answered all my questions in a timely manner, received my products in 4-5 days, the refunded me for the change in weight and dimensions of my package. Everything was great until my sencond purchase...

I accidently purchased the service and paid with a card I had previosuly used. I asked for a refund as I was not going to use their service and they issued it right away. In my first purchase, I used a second card which was used to pay for the difference in dimensions, later refunded. This card was not used in the second purchase yet Shippn charged this card the verification charge.

Please note that the card I actually used was not charged the verification charge, but the other one did. My card/account was blocked due to fraud because my bank could tell that my card information was taken from a website/database and not an actual purchase.
I have contacted customer service and they keep saying they don't keep information, but based on this, they obviosuly do. I URGE YOU TO BE CAREFUL AS THEY KEEP YOUR INFO WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT!

This is the actual response from a customer service agent
"If the user uses more than one credit card, the system will try to verify both credit cards to make sure that the cards are only being used by their owners. This is in effort to protect our shoppers."

This translates to them keeping your info to verify ALL THE CARDS YOU HAVE USED!

They keep sending me thank you emails and not providing a contact location. This present is for my son's 8th birthday. I am disabled and have 3 kids. Upset and discouraged would express how I feel.

Used "Buy for Me" service and bought 2 Phones from Australia,

In addition to expensive rate, only 1 phone was delivered to me. They claim that Shipping company stole one of the phones, and they will communicate with them. It has been more than a month they didn't reply to me, and they ignore my emails. They didn't provide me with claim number.
Moreover, I paid for shipment insurance, and I didn't get anything back.
I lost +1,000 USD, I have proof and all communication with them.

Please try other websites for this service.

Super sketchy company. STAY AWAY! The customer service representatives have zero idea what they are doing and are straight up liars. They also do not respond to emails. Shippn has held my packages for weeks without explanation and would not ship them out after numerous calls. They still have 4 of my packages worth thousands of dollars! If my packages are not returned to sender (I provided them with return labels!) I will be forced to open a lawsuit against them for the cost of goods. Shippn is by far the WORST company I have ever had to deal with. I highly suggest looking elsewhere for a shipping company.

Thank you for your comment. Our fraud department did not approve to continue processing your orders or reinstate the old orders.

We sent you several emails regarding the return of your items and as soon as we have received the return labels we have forwarded them to our hosts. As you have sent FedEx return labels and we do not have any partnerships with FedEx in Canada, we are not able to arrange a pick up from our hosts address. They will ship back your packages at their earliest convenience.

Privacy rights broken
April 18, 2018

They company will oppress your right to privacy by having all host open your mail. Its against the law to do that. They let me know which now i am required to mitigate my damages by choosing another company. I spoke to an attorney regarding this matter and they said i should file a police report against this company, but i am going to go with another company because i don't like my mail be opened nor inspected and you guys should stand up for your privacy rights as well and pick another company.

I am sorry to say this but all international shipments must be opened by our hosts for security reasons. It is also a necessity for international shipping rules as stated in our terms and conditions article #26. We can send your order back to the seller without opening the box, it's not a problem and we don't demand any additional fee for the return. While on a visit, I had purchased a pair of shoes in Germany and absolutely loved them. I wanted another pair, but the store didn't ship to the USA. I discovered Shippn, and although I was hesitant, I read the reviews of my host and took a chance. I'm so glad I did. The order process was so easy. My host, Marco, was a great communicator and very responsive. Shipping was so reasonable and FAST! Every step of this service was 5 stars. I will be using this service again in the future. Definitely a happy customer.

I did not hear about Shippn but I was curious if an app or a website like it might exist. I was very glad to find out about it since I came across an item of value only sold in Germany as a limited edition I could have never bought without Shippn. The only drawback is that the estimation fee for shipping was lower than the actual cost of the shipping since the website did not calculate the insurance of $10 for the high value item at the beginning of the process, but only once the item had arrived at the host's (although it is an option and I could have gone without it). Thank you for the seriousness of the app and the quick handling and delivery of the package! The experience was great, I highly recommend!

Shippn is not trustworthy. I ordered their Buy-For-Me for a product cost $241.62. Once they get paid, I then started a conversation with the host. But the host keep saying there is no response from seller for 2 weeks. Then Shippn cancelled the order. The host said he did not get paid for anything, and didn't cost him a penny because he just send email to seller without any reply. However, Shippn refused to refund. I then filed dispute with PayPal Mastercard. To me surprised, Shippn told the credit card company the fund is non-refundable and I have agreed their term-of-service when I order their service. This payment includes the cost of merchant, and shipping. Since they didn't pay anything, they shouldn't keep the money. What a thieve and scammer. Call the number on the website, never got answer.

Couldn't be happier

Do not trust the quote!

I bought an $11.99 item which ended up at $19.79 with fees which I was ok with. Once the item was purchased they then added an additional $34.37 shipping fee. I was unhappy and wanted a refund and was told it was not possible

Amazing service!

I needed an item from the USA that didn't deliver to Australia. After a few google searches I found Shippn. I was a little apprehensive about using this website because I have never heard of shippn before. The item I wanted was a little pricey but I took the risk and went head with the order.
The service was amazing. I received my item without any issues. Great fast communication and hassle free. The host I got to deliver my item from the USA was also amazing. I will definitely be using this service again.

Perfect

I was a bit hesitant about it at first, but this service is perfect! I wanted to order products from Indonesia and Salsabila (Host from Indonesia) helped me very well from start to finish and provided an update every step of the way. This way I was aware of my orders and received the products in good condition. I will definitely use this again if necessary! Highly recommended and very friendly employees.
