Bought a dress for one of my bridesmaids from here. Ordered it to be tailored made. It arrived in the wrong colour and was about 5 sizes too big (genuinely). Asked for details on how I could return it but they refused to share this. Eventually they offered me a 9% refund on the £100 dress. Before I ordered I even checked with them if they would do full refunds if there was any issue and they confirmed yes. It also says this on the website. The last email I received from them when I asked for a rationale response as to why they would not refund fully, simply said "the dresses are already good value, how else can we make a profit?". The dress is totally unwearable, it will probably cost the same amount to get it tailored to fit properly. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS POOR QUALITY, IMMORAL COMPANY!
I purchased a prom dress from Shillas.co.uk. It arrived 3 weeks later and the dress was just shoved into a plastic bag and very crumpled! The dress is nothing like the picture and fabric was awful! I emailed Shillas to let them know my disappointment and requested their return procedures for a full refund. Got a email response, but they wanted pictures showing the fault. I said no fault, just didn't like the dress and was NOTHING like the picture advertised. Sent another email, got the same response, wanted pictures! To date I still haven't got money back- a total scam. Website quotes you can return for refund if not happy - load of rubbish! DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE! COMPLETE SCAM AND NOT A UK COMPANY!
Don't buy anything from this site its a complete scam dresses are extremely cheaply made looks very tatty and they refuse refunds or exchanges, expecting you to pay for another dress. Total scam.
Ordered a dress for my daughter's prom, paid extra for fast delivery, no sign of dress, no answers to emails, awful customer service, full refund wanted(if I ever get hold of someone) disgusting!
The dress for my daughter's sorority semiformal arrived from Shillas exactly when promised, fit perfectly and looks gorgeous! We will definitely visit Shillas again and advise other to do the same.

When you send the dress back, keep the proof of postage. SHILLAS will deny receiving it of course and continue to offer a paltry discount... don't bother to carry on e mailing them, they (or Linda) will just fob you off. Speak to your bank and ask them to investigate the possibility of a "charge back" against SHILLAS
Make sure you keep all packing notes and a copy of the emails if possible as the bank will use this as evidence. They have to give SHILLAS a certain amount of time to issue a refund, of course they won't, but often my bank, Barclays, told me they issue a refund first and chase SHILLAS later... good luck and don't let these bastards keep your money

This is the worst case scenario for any consumer. A company with a UK registered website but actually trading from abroad. Service levels are the worst we have ever experienced. Quality of the product is utter rubbish. Anyone ordering from this so called company is throwing their money away, you would be better off cladding yourself in a bin bag than buy from this scam company, not only would you save your money but you would look better in a bin bag than the rubbish they supply.
The scenario is the same, you place your order for a special occasion, you handover your hard earned money, you wait for it to arrive, when it does the packaging and presentation is aweful, you find your item looks nothing like what you envisaged on their website, the quality of the material and workmanship is appaling. You contact them by email regarding your concern and as you have all read in the reviews, the scenario thereafter is the same... send pictures, pay for material and we will send you a replacement, it was custom made for you so no refund etc etc etc. Then after you have complained numerous times they offer you a refund... 8% or 10% or 12% or if your really lucky 14%. These offers of refunds will never transpire anyway. Then there's Linda from Customer Services ha ha ha, what a joker, I didn't realise that Linda was a common name in China! So everyone who is in dispute with this company unfortunately you have done your money. Legal action via the small claims court is a case of throwing good money after bad so I would not bother as the company is based abroad and they will certainly never show up at any court hearing.
However, I know of a way that collectively we can severely disrupt the operations of this company and in many cases you will get your money back and because this company collects its money via Visa and MasterCard you will find that their ability to collect money will be stopped therefore hindering their business severely. So I will wait to see how many people respond to this and I will tell you how we can destroy this third rate operation.

I HAVE WRITTEN MANY EMAILS AND INVESTED A LOT OF TIME IN CONTACTING THIS COMPANY WHO ARE COMPLETELY IGNORING MY REQUEST OF A REFUND OR REPLACEMENT DRESS AFTER SPENDING 162 EURO ON A DRESS WHICH I DID NOT RECEIVE. I ORDERED A DRESS FROM THE WEBSITE AND RECEIVED A DRESS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TÓ THE COLOUR I ORDERED AND BOTH THE MATERIAL AND SIZE WERE WAY OFF FROM WHAT I ORDERED TOO. THE DRESS CANNOT BE WORN, AND WHEN I EMAILED FOR A REFUND THEY OFFERED ME A REPLACEMENT DRESS ONLY TO BE THEN TOLD I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THE NEW DRESS AGAIN. WHEN I DIDNT ACCEPT THIS THEY OFFERED ME A 10 % DISCOUNT. LINDA, IN CUSTOMER SERVICE REFUSED TO PUT ME IN TOUCH WITH THEIR MANAGER AND REPEATEDLY IGNORED MY REQUEST IN EMAILS. I HAVE LOOKED ON THEIR WEBSITE WHERE IT STATES IF YOU RECEIVE THE WRONG DRESS OR COLOUR ETC IS WRONG YOU CAN RETURN FOR A REPLACEMENT/NEW DRESS. THIS IS COMPLETE FALSE ADVERTISING AND I CANNOT RECOMMEND STRONGLY ENOUGH TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. NOT ONLY WAS THE DRESS I RECEIVED COMPLETLY DIFFERENT FROM WHAT I ORDERED, BUT IT ALSO APPEARED AS VERY CHEAP MATERIAL.
