The single worst online buying experience I've ever had. Tried to exchange for a new size. Haha. I won't get into details, but after over a month, I gave up and ordered from BootBarn. I did get my refund (minus shipping) but I didn't want a refund. I honestly don't know how this company is in business. Definitely not up to par with today's shipping and customer service expectations.
I placed an order 9 days ago and it hasn't even shipped! In this day of quick shipping and excellent care, Shepler's is lacking. Who would think it takes 9 days to even leave their warehouse? The order is a birthday gift which although order two weeks before the big day, will not certainly be late. I wish I had read these reviews before placing my order. Very upset with myself for ordering with this company.
Oops i did it again... a few years ago i stopped ordering from sheplers, but i forgot why, now i remember why. I placed an order on the 9th, i called customer services today 02-13 because the money was already taken out of my checking account, but the merchandise still not shipped yet, no apologies or nothing, same BS from Sheplers again and I won't be making this mistake again.
What horse crap!. Sent to my old address even though I changed address on line. Account reverted back to old address and wouldn't let me change again. People who received the package immediately sent it back.
Sheplers then gave me a $51 dollar refund on an order that cost me $84. So I guess they get a quick profit for being incompetent.
Report this company to the authorities... I am £200 dollars out of pocket and don't expect to receive my goods as they do not answer email or calls.
I had to return the boots that I ordered as they were not leather (website claimed they were) and the label said they were sent from China.

This is one of the worst online shopping experiences I've had dealing with Sheplers. First I send the boots I bought for my husband for Christmas back for an exchange, which the company received on January 6,2016, and the boots were still available online. I now get this email about them backordered until February 15? Seriously! I have spent too much time calling this company and getting nowhere because the customer service associates lied to me about the progress of the return and exchange. One woman telling me last week that the boots would be shipped out Friday last week, and April telling me yesterday that this an automated email and the date for shipping was incorrect. Now I ordered the boots off of Sierra Trading Post and had to pay $20 more for shipping and tax. I just got screwed with this whole purchase. I will never purchase from this company again. Thanks but no thanks, I'll spend my money elsewhere.
... I bought jeans from Sheplers twice over the years and never had a problem. I recently purchased a pair of jeans the same size I bought before (I'm still wearing them), and they were HUGE! Way too big. So I decided to exchange them, this is where things turn disastrous. The user interface on the returns page is a joke. I tried to exchange them but the radio button for exchange would not work. After a phone call I was informed that I couldn't exchange them because I paid through PayPal. What the heck has that got to do with the price of tea in China? They said there would not be a $10.00 charge for the return shipping. That was simply a lie in the making. My original cost was $43.40. My refund to PayPal was $24.97, fool me once. I bought the jeans from Amazon for $27.00 (Same jeans, same label), plus tax, free shipping. Never again will I purchase anything from Sheplers. I cannot recommend this company to anyone, use Amazon for best price and honest customer relations/service...
I ordered a belt for a christmas present and returned it on 12/27/2016. I have called CS several times and sent emails on 2 occasions without a response on the status of my credit. I still have not received my credit. I will never, ever order from them again. They are always busy and no one has ever answered my call. Shame on Sheplers. The CEO needs to take a look at their Customer Serivce.
Stay away!, ordered dec 2 2017, over a week just to ship, free shipping only if you order over $70. Even though it says free shipping on all items, my order account says I bought nothing, average time to pickup your call 24 mins. They sent the wrong color, rest of my order "might" be arriving on the 23rd of dec. Never again.
I ordered boots and added a pair of jeans to make the total high enough to receive the discount. Received them in a timely manner. Boots and jeans look and fit well. Fair price.
The discount is a little confusing - they show the discounted price on the site and in your cart, but your order total has to reach a minimum amount to actually get the discounted price.
The online store also isn't good about notifications. My online account does not reflect this purchase.
Ordered a ring that said it was in stock, ordered the ring, received an email a week later stating that the ring was on backorder, emailed Sheplers, it says they will reply within 24 to 48 hours, that's a lie, 7 days later still waiting on a response from them, I should have looked at the reviews first, and would have never ordered anything from these people... Don't call you won't get through, 25 mins on hold, I guess they figure they've got ur money... No need to answer you. Contacting Amazon next. Beware do not order anything from these crooks...
In order to rate customer service there must first be customer service. Except for computer driven dribble there is nothing from this company.
I ordered based on the info they gave for delivery and they then send an emaijl that says it will be a month later.
You can not even cancel the order because they will not return emails.
I ordered some boots for my daughter 15 days prior to Christmas. After placing the order the web page said that I would get the boots on the 22nd of December. Nope! Lies! I kept checking the tracking number and it shows that they never even sent them! I called my bank the money has been paid. I waited a few more days and called for hours non-stop. No luck there! What a joke this place is! Finally after getting through to them the guy on the phone said it needed to call UPS... really! I called UPS and they said it would not be delivered until after Christmas. I would NEVER do business with these people EVER! You cant trust what they are saying as far as delivery... as of today we still have no boots... as much as you pay for a pair of boots the least they could do is make sure on their end that you get them on time!
I ordered a pair of Justin ropers and one boot looks like it's ten years old with wrinkles all over it and the other looks brand new. I sent them back and they would not return them. Bad for business.
They have shipping times listed on their website for boots, (ships withing 10 business days). If those were true I'd be happy. But after my fiance waited two months for boots that were shipped in the wrong size, we had to send them back.
They come up with this bs that it's a standard for that pair to be back ordered that long. Well take the shipping time off your web page for that pair.
Then we decided to upgrade to a more expensive boot because we wanted them for her wedding dress fitting. I get told they would reduce the price as a way of apologizing for the errors. I don't get charged for just the difference in the two pair. I get the whole charge of 232.46 on my card. So now they have 180.00 from my fiance and 232.46 from me. I cancelled the whole order. Found them $100.00 cheaper on amazon for the exact same boot.
Over a month after I placed my original order and still NO EXCHANGE. The return shipping label is super slow.
Seven days after they received my exchange they finally refunded my money, short $10.00. How convenient for them! Bunch of Scammers!
Then they send me an email stating that my exchange order has now been cancelled.
If I would've known that this process was going to take this long I would've paid more and took my business elsewhere.

What happened to Sheplers?!? They were great when they had stores, now that it's all mail order, they are awful! Their boots are horrible quality, look and smell like plastic. Anyway, they didn't fit, so I returned them. And they charged me $10.00 return shipping. What is THAT? I really hate shopping online anyway, and to have to pay for return shipping when it's a fit issue is really unreasonable.
I am very dissatisfied with Sheplers, I think my original order was lost. After a couple of weI brought it to their attention my order was rec'd within days. The sizing was incorrect. I contacted customer service via text messaging several times wanting to return for a credit. Never rec'd a response. I attempted to get a return label the response was there was no such order number when I was looking at in my hand. I sent more emails, no response. I still have clothes that I cannot wear, Thank you Sheplers, never again
They sell boots made out man-made leather but describing it as leather. Communication is bad as can be. There website has one button for order submition so I had no chance to decide whether I want there delivery condition on not. They don't use PayPal so product technically can not be returned. Very disappointing. Not recommended.
Ordered on December 7th, it was pending in my credit card transactions for a while, then disappeared. I emailed them my order number to find out where my order was. No response. I called and the line was always busy. I emailed the customer service inbox again. At least they didn't run off with my money, i haven't been charged for it - yet. But it would be nice that while it advertises it ships within 11 days... it's been 14 and no customer service response at all.
Answer: I think ur probably better off buying thick wool socks that's what I did when I got the wrong size from here I just bought some big wool socks and now they fit great.
