Select employs a knowledgeable and friendly customer service team, unlike a previous warranty company I had. Select answered all of my questions and gave me all my documents vis email without the need to transfer me around other departments. I am fully telling all my friends about this company and thank you Select fior setting the customer service bar sooo high that all others can't compare to your stands of excellence!
We have had Select Home Warranty since 2017 Never missed a payment. A few weeks ago our AC unit went out. We made a claim with Select and it started a chain of excuses not to pay. First of all they never sent a service out to see what was the problem. Then we had to send them pictures. Then we were ask to send service records for past three years. We did not have records because we had never had a problem before. Every time we called we got a different rep with a different spill. They finally said we get 150.00 to which we have never received
We just went ahead a canceled Select

If you like to work for free, fight to get your money due, never get paid, get excuses, get your claims denied, get your invoices lost in their system, waste a lot of time on hold trying to get authorization, dealing with foreign nincompoops at the SHW call center who don't understand English and the idiot homeowners who think you owe them something for a measly $45.00. Sometimes you even have to fight them to get that from these home owners cheapskates. You been warned. Go make real money elsewhere
Had The Platinum Service Plan for four months, called in a claim for a dripping shower and was told I was not covered. They said they would cover it for another 49.95 a year so I told them to add the 49.95 Fixture coverage and send out a plumber and then they told me, we will be happy to take your money but we will not fix the drip in your shower because it's a preexisting problem. When I ordered the service I was told that I had the top coverage. This is a scam as far as I'm concerned, I canceled the service and called a Plummer. Don't waste your money!
First thing is that i have been on the phone with alot of warranty companies. I picked select because I like the reviews and the way the company rep Ben happened to handle the total transaction on the phone. I signed up for annually and save alot of money. Great service and great customer service in Select Home Warranty.
We are currently with another home warranty company and looking to make a change due to long telephone wait times and even longer wait times to have a service tech come out. SHW's customer service was excellent and we opted to enroll and pay the year in full.
I called Select Home Warrenty to file a claim. The operator was adequate, she took my information and after a long wait on the phone, the claim was filed. The call was cold and lacked and air of any warmth or friendliness, but she got the job done.
Everyone that I have spoken with has been very pleasant and has answered all of my questions completely to my satisfaction. I am now the proud owner of a Select Home Warranty Plan! I am unsure of what type of photo to upload.
Very nice to talk to very helpful She help me with what I needed directed me to another person to take care of my problems the first one couldn't come out due to sickness with the flu hopefully someone will contact me soon
I have had this company for the last year. Out of all my claims I hve put in, they literally only accepted or fixed 1. All the others were not approved for repair, either bc it was too new or too old. One of Which was only 2.5 yrs old, it wasn't even broken just clogged. They offered $75 to put towards replacing it. My service fee is $60 so they literally offered $15.
Also I live in Nebraska they have vary limited repairmen that even work them. Such a waste of money.
This was my first time having to use SHW for an A/C capacitor that went bad on a 2-year-old unit. Customer Service was easy to work with. The only issue I had was with the contractor SHW selected for the repair. When I called their number to schedule the repair, the person answered hello and did not provide the name of the company. I had to ask is this___? Just from talking to the contractor, they were not local and when I googled the location, they were like 2 hours away from me. As a result of the distance, they stated they could not get out to me until 2-3 days later (in this summer heat?). As such, I called and asked could I select a reputable company myself and SHW was very helpful in letting me know what I needed to do to get reimbursed for my costs. The only complaint is I wish SHW would focus on using local companies as opposed to just letting anyone bid on a project.
My experience with All Boro Plumbing was terrible. I hope that you have more people on your staff that represents your company in a more pleasant way. Unpleasant people give your Company a bad name. The Customer Service was good but the Sevice was unappreciated.
This is a warning for everyone - do not sign up for Select Home Warranty. They will induce you to sign for their warranty service offering you deals but find a different one. They are horrible - I place a claim for leak on April 2020 and they have sat on it for 4 months. After 4 months I called an independent technician who fixed the leak coming from a broken control valve from our washer located on our second floor. Prior to this we were told that if we can't wait for their service, we can find our own and they will reimburse. When the fix was completed and we sent the invoice - Select Home Warranty said that it's not covered so we have to pay for our $500 bill. So you better make sure you get a home warranty that is recommended by BBB otherwise you will be in dilemma like we did. I contacted selecthomewarrranty.com with plumbing issues in my kitchen and two bathrooms. They scheduled a technician from Medley Plumbing to come to my home for the repair. They showed up on time, repaired two of the four issues, and we are currently awaiting parts and resolution of the two remaining issues.
I found a electrician because Select stated they could not locate one in my area. I was glad of that because I like to know who is coming to my home so I can investigate. Once the electrician got here we called Selcet and spoke with a rep that asked me questions as well as the electrician The rep then put us on hold and when she came back she told me I was approved. The rep stated I had to email her a copy of the invoice. I told her I would send the invoice that was the end of the transaction. The rep was kind and concise. Quick and to the point just the way I like it. Good job Select!
They obviously don't understand the request to stop calling or texting phone numbers. They don't abide by the FTC guideline nor DNC. I suspect that everyone of the aholes at their call center were either used car or timeshare sales personnel that failed t their first endevor! I would never consider a company nor their services that use these marketing tactics!
The SHW representative was very efficient, polite and took prompt action to identify a technician to help us. She was also receptive to the possibility of us getting our own technician, if that would work faster. When repaired, SHW was prompt to review and approve the claim. Overall - a very good experience
Excuses Excuses and no service available or delays delays plus a 75.00 fee to close your account and prorate your contract. It appears they don't enough people to cover the promises they committed too.
I recently purchased a home warranty online from Select Home Warranty. I was very impressed by the items covered under the warranty I selected which also included roof coverage at no additional charge. I previously had a home warranty through another company in which that warranty was more expensive and roof coverage wasn't even included and the service fee charge was higher.
The Select Home Warranty representative, Ed Coleman, was very pleasant and polite. He gave me a wonderful deal for the contract, which works out to 32 dollars a month, and the service call will be 65 dollars a month for the life of the contract!

Answer: After filing 5 claims, and one tech that wanted to pad his pocket resulting in me fixing my own leak in a toilet at my expense after paying their tech. And another tech wanting to get my pool setup for summer at150. More than I already gave for deductible she didn't fix my pump or water line to my pool. Both denied by select home Warrenty. And 3 more that I paid their techs for then had to fix it myself. Now my freezers compressor is out and they took money out of my bank account without my permission after saying they would go ahead and fix the freezer well guess what they declined it. And said it wasn't covered when in the contract it says it is. List all meat and others because of 3 weeks if waiting for them
