Do not use this company at all. They never pay for full coverage on the repair and it takes forever to get a job completed. Terrible customer service, terrible company.
I called Select Home Warranty about my AC/ Heat
And received a response within 20 minutes. Tech came out next day. So I was happy with response time. Now just waiting for results.

I was assigned someone to come look at our AC, after speaking with the person assigned they could not come for 3-4 weeks. SHW is supposed to be looking for someone else to service the AC so just hoping they follow through with someone that can come sooner.
Petter was veryhelpful. He tried to give me different coupon and asked me to lock in on a long term rate. But I only want to test and find my own experience with your company. Also asure me that definitely you will do repair or replace. The replacement will be a like kind to fit in any built in space in my home.
I am over 55. I think ther3e was some kind of discount he gave me as well. So now I will get 14 months for a toal of 449.99 and plus tax is 464.99 with 75.00 of copay.
The first two claims were serviced ok but the third, concerning a non-functioning spa heater was a nightmare. First they could not find a contractor so I got an email from them say to find my own and call them back to get authorization. I quote: "... please call our authorization team at... before you perform any repairs." So I did. After being shuffled around I spoke to someone from their authorization team who said they didn't give authorizations to policy-holders over the phone and I should do it by submitting the estimate by email. So I went to the email address given me. There was no facility there to submit ANYTHING SCANNED. I called back up and then got the same scripted response. Besides this they use people in India for customer service so it's tough to understand their accent. Finally asked my technician to call them (apparently they do speak to techs to give authorizations). Hopefully this will resolve things. All this could have been avoided if their initial email was not so full of misinformation.
The customer service/dispatch agent was helpful and reassuring. I am awaiting connection with a technician, but I have received regular communication from the Select Home Warranty dispatch office.
I spent over 800 dollars for a two year warranty.
In the last year I asked for my plumbing, refrigerator to be fixed and for my air con to be checked.
Only did i get the plumbing checked. And, I had to pay up front for both service call and repair. Plus wait online for 2.5 hours of time to get the approval. So the repair company had to return. Otherwise I would have been charged an hourly for having the repair man wait. He left after 45 minutes of being on hold.
I can go on and on. Suffice it to say, I still not have the air con or refrigerator issue taken care of after two weeks of dealing with this company. They even referred a supplier and had me call to schedule an appointment with a COMPANY THAT DOES NOT DO BUSINESS WITH SELECT HOME-----!
While have had a few hiccups with doing business, overall satisfied with service. However, having to put in 100 characters when I was able to make my review in less does not thrill me.
I am pleased to be allowed to select my own service company, because sometime it takes Select Warranty a longer time to find some to come ASAP, so for my last couple of claims I have called my own service company. They do have a basic customer service desk that do not give you any real help, so I always ask for the claims department.
So helpful and prompt, I haven't had to use it yet, but the people I have talked to this far are always very help and knowledgeable, I have and will continue to refer all my friends and family, very affordable and very great deductibles.
I've always been happy with this company. They actually fix any home problem. The last one I had an electrical problem. Someone was at my door only 5 hours after submitting the problem.
Though the phone calls and repeated emails were a bit much pushing for me ot renew, service on claims are quick and I like that I dont have to seek out a repairman.

Answer: After filing 5 claims, and one tech that wanted to pad his pocket resulting in me fixing my own leak in a toilet at my expense after paying their tech. And another tech wanting to get my pool setup for summer at150. More than I already gave for deductible she didn't fix my pump or water line to my pool. Both denied by select home Warrenty. And 3 more that I paid their techs for then had to fix it myself. Now my freezers compressor is out and they took money out of my bank account without my permission after saying they would go ahead and fix the freezer well guess what they declined it. And said it wasn't covered when in the contract it says it is. List all meat and others because of 3 weeks if waiting for them
