Received broken chair, returned the product but yet to receive refund after 6 months. They came up with lame excuse, they have big in the system and not able to process refunds. I even did transaction dispute with the credit card company.
Please avoid this company, they are shameless, that's all I can say...!
This company said they shipped my chair 10 days ago. FEDEX shows no delivery progress, only the completion of a delivery request. The origin is less than 200 miles from my house.
The company is not listed under resellerratings.com or the Better Business Bureau. I am very suspicious.
Purchased several years ago and very happy with that first chair and everything worked as expected. Ordered a new chair this year for family member and it did not extend or lower and received without the upgraded wheels we paid for. Contacted customer service and have not been able to get anywhere with repairing chair or getting the upgraded wheels we paid for. Realize this is refurbished, but paid a lot of money for this to work out of the box. Customer service asked me to remove covers and send pictures, but then does not follow up at all and eventually stop responding. Horrible customer service from once a reliable company. They have gone down hill!
Purchased a Herman Miller chair from Seatingmind in May. Product was received promptly and was as described. The chair developed a crack in the arm cushion, possibly due to the support not extending the full length of the cushion or because of a material defect. I requested a replacement cushion, but was told that "the warranty doesn't cover that". There was no clause in the warranty that would have excluded this problem that happened after only 6 months of use. Customer support is not responding to my request for a reason why the item is excluded. Not happy about this experience.
Took several weeks to receive the chair and the chair had several blemishes such as dirt, grease, nicks in the rubber and larges scratches on the stainless base. Not nearly as nice as the chair pictured when I purchased online. I'd describe the condition of the chair as average versus good / refurbished.
Took a month for it to arrive, presumably because of covid, and it is too low for a standard desk. Something is wrong with the cylinder, minor issue but ergonomically taxing for my forearms. After reading the reviews i was concerned I had been ripped off. However, they have been very responsive and sent a replacement cylinder. However I made the chair high enough by ordering new casters off amazon that are rollerblade wheels and add enough height. Otherwise the herman miller aeron is very comfortable but I guess when you buy a used chair it's not going to have issues.
Took more than a month for the chair to arrive and now it's too low for a standard height desk. Did everything i could googling to figure out how to raise it with adjustment screw underneath, doesn't work. Terrible wrist pain from poor ergonomics, i'm so frustrated. Their customer service is non existent. Don't waste your money with this company.
I have now purchased three Humanscale Freedom chairs from Seating Mind, and I would only consider buying chairs from them in the future. Their refurbished chairs are as good as new. Their prices are exceptional and their customer service is prompt, friendly and effective.

Once you buy a chair online you are not sure if you will ever get it. They want to have a review of the buying experience and I do not even have the chair.
Well, here we are, I sit in my Fern that just arrived maybe a few weeks later at most from purchase date.
I know the reviews SM has. Let's be honest, they arent good. They're a deterrent. Yet I took the chance and purchased from them anyway. Thankfully I live in NJ as well, where they ship from so that might account for the shipping time. The chair was missing a wheel but one could attribute that to the carrier. The condition said new, and it is in fact new. Doesnt come with papers or anything just the chair and thats that. The picture represent exactly what youll be getting.
The chair itself I wont really go off on because you can find enough information online about that. Honestly, I would purchase from SM again, considering this experience and price. I even emailed SM to ask about the chair to confirm what it came with features and all, and although responses did come back about a day later around 6pm est, they did respond, multiple times at that. I honestly dont know if i got lucky or maybe the demographic of those who buy office chairs are... just not right lol. Either way, A fair transaction, I paid (less than half normal price) and received a product as promised. Cant really say much that was negative about this whole experience.

Pretty good. Easy search, semi-informative response to queries. Initially, I was led to expect delivery in 5-7 days; on follow up, learned that there's processing time (to assemble the chair etc) so a longer lead them then I first expected. Not a huge problem but would've appreciated the full info at the get go.
Their online reputation is great at first glance, but a deeper dive reveals that this may be a predatory business.
Several reviews have the same issue in common. Customers have received items inconsistent with their description or have never received their purchase at all.
After purchasing a chair July 31,2020 I was informed August, 31,2020 that the order would be prepared for expedited shipping by the end of the following week, almost 30 business days since my order.
Customer service will respond within 48 hours but their responses are often inconsistent, misleading and divisive. 5 star rating for visibility.
After reading a lot of negative reviews and some good ones I decided to purchase a refurbished Herman Miller Aeron chair from Seating Mind. I have been in business most of my life and know that a bad customer experience is shared with as many as possible. With a good experience only a handful of people are told about it. I purchased this chair back in November and was full aware that it would take at least 3 weeks to be delivered. I received the chair before Christmas despite all the package delays due to volume and weather. It is a great chair and my shopping and customer service experience were exceptional. If you're thinking about purchasing a chair from Seating Mind I highly recommend them.
I ordered two chairs over two months ago, and I have received nothing. Any time I email them I keep getting this auto reply emails saying that my order is ready for shipment, but that's it. Their phone says you are reaching them after hours and there is no other way to contact them but through email. I think this web page is a scam... I dont know who they got away with the 4 plus rate that they have online. I order on line the chairs with them because I thought it was a legitimate company. I am so mad right now!
We purchased our Herman Miller chair about 3 years ago and were very pleased. They one day the hydraulic cylinder failed. The seat went to the floor and would not come up. I contacted SeatingMind, they directed me to the warranty page which stated "The warranty covers the entire chair's mechanics for 12 years from the date of purchase". But customer service response was "Since the chair has been in your possession for 3 years and it worked just fine the cause of the cylinder failing is NOT under our responsibility". How's that for a 12 year Mechanical warranty.
As other reviews have detailed, I received a notice that product shipped with a tracking number and it never shipped. It has been over 10 days. Customer service is rude and simply hangs up when asked for information.

The reviews here are the truth. We ordered 68 chairs total and we have yet to receive them all. What we have received we got weeks later than promised, 18 of the chairs were the wrong chair entirely, and we are still waiting for deliver of the last two.
Customer service is slow if you get any response at all.
I hope people can see these and not the "Shopper Approved" garbage saying nearly 5 starts.
Unfortunately, this company will send you a disgustingly dirty, VERY used chair. Then they will give you a hard time for trying to return it, despite their satisfaction guaranteed. Then, after they receive your return, they won't refund the money, and they ignore any attempts to contact them about it. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE.
After 2 weeks of waiting for any kind of information to be sent to me, the feeling that I got scammed start to become very overwhelming. Reached out and nobody ever try to reach back out to me. I feel like they are out here trying to scam people. Cation ordering from this website. They're 5 star reviews look like bot reviews. Nothing about them are 5 stars lol. If you look at the 1 star reviews you'll see people in the same boat I was in. Im going to do everything in my power to have Google remove this scam site from top searches.
I have left reviews elsewhere regarding my smelly, old chair and its order and delivery process. What really gets me is that the review site that the firm has a contract with (they ping you as soon as your order is completed) is a total scam. My critical review was removed about a day after posting. The reviews are largely positive because respondents are completing the form before experiencing the delivery process, the products themselves, or the customer service. STAY AWAY.
