Purchased leggings for kayaking and had to return them. (They came in a reasonable amount of time) I got quite nervous after seeing the bad reviews and wondered if I'd get my money back. I called the phone number on the website and got a live person who sent me a shipping label. I shipped the items back, got a "return confirmation email" stating I'd receive a refund and within a few days my refund came. Had to wait another day for it to post into my bank account but everything went smoothly! Big sigh of relief! They were prompt in emailing me back and I honestly (and thankfully!) have no complaints.
I contacted Scuba.com about selling two sets of dive gear (mine and wife). I filled out the survey and attached pictures. Charlie K. Responded and suggested shipping the gear to them at no cost to test it. He also said that if we didn't agree on a price, he would send it back at his cost. I agreed and he emailed me a UPS label. Then I received a very fair offer. It was way more than the local dive shop. My check arrived today and I am very, very pleased! Thanks Charlie
I signed up to their email list as they advertised 10 percent off first order!
I tried to purchase $4700. In scuba equipment. At checkout they had the audacity to take 18$ off.
I figured it was an error so I called them. The answer was that even though I was buying diving equipment for my family, none of any of our diving equipment qualified for a discount!
If diving equipment is not covered at all then what do I need them for?
After the deceptive advertising they bombed me with emails,, Totally pissed and will never go to their site again,,
I purchased over $80 in equipment that never arrived. I was told to wait as it could take up to 2 months. My items were shipped to me through Armed Forces post office as I'm stationed over Seas. I have never had items never arrive. It's been 11 Months and was told after numerous emails and phone calls to file a claim with USPS over Seas. I'm located 4 hrs from the base where the mail arrives. Rip off took my money and won't do anything. Buy from someone else!
Been shopping here for years. They offer great pricing and a helpful, knowledgeable staff. My delivery has always been as expected and if there has been any delays they have always kept me informed. Not always the most convenient situation but as a reasonable person I understand that they are the retailer and not the manufacturer. They can't simply produce it out of thin air simply because somebody bought it and feel that's the reason they should have it.
Returns and exchanges have always been easy with no questions asked as long as I didn't use my gear in the water.
I recommend talking to Bob or Aaron for anything scuba related you may need.
I ordered a dive computer from Scuba.com. After two weeks, I inquired about my order. I was told that UPS tried to deliver my package, but it was not accepted by me. UPS would have left a note at my home, as they have done many times. Although they gave me a tracking number, i think the whole thing was a scam. I asked to have the item re-sent, but kept getting excuses. Now I have having trouble getting my credit card refunded. DO NOT buy from this company under any circumstance!
Ordered a standard AL80 tank in black, was sent a brushed aluminum one. Initial shipping time was relatively fast, but when I contacted customer support they asked me to keep the tank for a $25 partial refund (on a $280 product). I refused, as I wanted the item I ordered. I returned the tank (shipping label provided) and haven't heard anything since. This was nearly two weeks ago. Replacement item should have been sent out as soon as I returned the tank, as I provided pictures and all. Now need to use the tank for an upcoming dive and still don't have the item I ordered. Don't recommend, stick with reliable vendors.
I ordered a pole spear 2 weeks before a vacay - they shipped me a used bent spear, nice, right. Then the service reps lied and lied and lied about when the replace ment would come - never came before my trips. What a bunch of $#*! heads. I will NEVER buy from scuba.com again
I have been a customer of scuba.com several times and never had a problem. This last time i needed something asap and there where out of stock. Called and got awesome customer service and compatible item instead.
I purchased a Faber 80CF high pressure, 237 bar/3449 psi scuba tank from Scuba.com through their Amazon store scubadotcom instead of their main Web site. The price for the exact same tank was slightly higher on their Amazon store, but gave free 2-day shipping instead of the free 7-10 day ground shipping on their main scuba.com site. My tank shipped the next day after a 10:30pm order and arrived two days later. The tank is new, perfect condition, and has a nice valve included. This tank will be used to recharge a PCP air rifle. Totally a great shopping experience on Amazon and I feel comfortable recommending this company.
Purchased 2 wetsuit and accessories around 4 or 5 months ago. My husbands finally arrived but was too small. Tried to do exchange but again was going to take months so we finally just asked for a refund. They put the refund in after a few days then took it back out the next day. A week later now my refund is pending. I have never had a place pend a refund transaction. Hey are ridicoulous. They
kept my funds tied up for over 4 months and and I only actually recieved 1 wetsuit during that time. 0 stars would be perfect for them.
Very Unsatisfied Customer...
I ordered a high quality underwater camera and light kit. First, there was a "problem" with the order so I had to redo it through Amazon (though I only found out when I checked on the order after never receiving anything). The order was then sent in two shipments, one of which I never received. I needed the camera for an upcoming trip so they sent me another one. They charged me for both and I have been going round with them for three months trying to get one of the charges taken off. Place seems like a rip-off!
Please don't trust this cheap company.
I have ordered one watch 200$, one swimwear 75$ and three sets of screws 30$.
They delivered me wrong watch and match cheaper, wrong swimwear that doesn't exist as a model and probably is fake/not original and one package of the screws. They never informed me that they have delivered me two less packages of screws bug they charged full amount from my bank account. When I received my package and realised this mess, they just told me that they are planning to deliver my screws one week later. They never responded me why they didn't inform me for the split out of the order and why while they sent less stuff they charged me full amount. I have order from UAE Dubai and because of international order they didn't accept to cover the cost of shipping in order to return the wrong products. I spent plenty of time and money for international calls and e-mails and accidentally a lot of dropped calls. After a lot of pressure from my side they promised me that they will figure out my problem with the managers. They never called me and they never responded me in any call or e-mail. They just stole 305$ for products which probably are not original.
Don't order for this company, you will lose your money.
They sell you stuff that is not in stock. Then the order just sits there. When you call, they offer to take off the "backordered" item, but still no shipping... Ended up cancelling
The service is great! The price seems the cheapest possible. Love it!
There seems to be anything I need for my hobbies and more.
The dive watch I found here will serve me a good companion.
I made one order at scuba.com with 5 items. A week later, with no email about my order status, I checked the order status online. It said, "Order Is Being Pulled For Shipping." So I emailed support. They simply said one of the items is out of stock and is expected to be restocked in 2 or 3 weeks.
You can still order that item and pay for it, and you won't know it's not in stock unless you contact support. You won't get an email alerting you about it. They won't offer to ship the rest of your order separately. This is an unpleasant experience.
Ordered three dive tanks with Pro valves, sent tanks with no valves and refuse to make right.
Letting all customers and dive shops know to go elsewhere.
Derrick in sales refuses to assist.
Bought around 200USD things on this website, using paypal for payment method. No matter what i change address on scuba.com website, the address always change back to paypal address. The online chat person Paula G is on and off during the working hours, it's a shame they can't help out. Finding out the reviews online are terrible during the searching for the solution. In the same time, i found the package i ordered just shipped even though i tried to contact them all the time without any help and technically nobody should work during the time, according to the website faq, after it shipped i can still cancel but need to pay for 1/3 of the total of my products due to it's already shipped. All those numbers in NYC and CA can't get through during working hours for a simple address change and cancellation. No wonder the reviews of this website are so bad
READ CAREFULLY THEIR website is very mis-leading says hassle free returns and if returned in orginal packing within 30 days. 100%
However, down the list is mentioned. If you had free shipping on your order
They will automatically deduct this from your refund...
So paid $151 with free shipping. But returned item and only got back $140
Due to the cost they incurred to ship me FREE... doesn't seem free to me
I'm an experienced/competent swimmer, fairly new scuba diver with a very experienced scuba instructor who provided guidance for my purchase.
Ordered 3 things and paid a lot for postage.
For reasons I don't understand, 2 items ordered together were shipped separately when they would absolutely have fit in the same box together, since the smaller was about the size of a half tube of toothpaste. Shipping info for the other of them was stuck at 'shipping label created' for days, when items are supposed to ship the same/following business day. I ordered on a Monday, it should have gone out Tuesday but apparently did not. Hard to say what happened after that because the next tracking update was it being out for delivery on the Friday.
The third item was backordered (this is fair enough, I knew that before ordering) but the estimated delivery date has been moved back 2 weeks already so who knows when (if?) that would eventually show up. I've asked to cancel it as I found something in stock elsewhere but who knows if customer service will actually respond.
One of the items I ordered arrived and was very cheap quality. Rough fabric, really uncomfortable and difficult to adjust. Given that the main selling point for this is it being comfortable and easy to use for beginner divers, I was left thoroughly disappointed.
On attempting to return it, the returns feature has been giving me an error message every attempt over the last 2 days so I had to email customer service. I'm going to assume that, since it's 4th July weekend, I'm not going to hear back for several days.
All in all, It was not worth $30+ in shipping and days/weeks of wait for having to fight to return 2/3 of my order because their returns button doesn't work. It's actually LESS convenient than literally any other option for acquiring scuba gear. Would not recommend.
