DO NOT BOTHER BUYING THE WARRANTY!

Less than a year ago, I bought a sofa. Since it was cream colored, I went ahead and bought the extended warranty. I live alone and rarely if ever use this couch. The first problem was the backs of the couch were not real cushions, they were just a little poly-filling and had absolutely no support. I had to go out and buy a mattress topper to cut it to fit just to have some support. I'll even say that was my fault for not checking this more carefully before I bought it. I then had spilled some tea on my couch and immediately cleaned it up but it left a 'shadow'. Also, the seams were starting to fray. I called Rooms to Go but neither my 1 year warranty of my extended warranty covered this. I asked what it covered (because the sales woman ABSOLUTELY said it covered any stains) and they said it basically only covered ripping (and I would bet if it ripped they would say that wasn't covered either).

I will not buy from them again and I highly recomend not buying their warranty - it's useless.

Rooms To Go Rooms To Go Furniture Store - Melbourne

I got a bed with rooms to go in June. From the first week I told them the bed was not functioning properly. The base and the mattress are incompatible. I have been forced to keep this merchandise in my home impeding me from finishing my room because they refuse to pick it up. They have made me jump through hoops missing work or arranging for people to be home and even after their inspector agreed the 2 are incompatible and reported to them weeks ago they refuse to return it. They don't answer the phone to me and have told me they have no return policy. I signed up for assurance now which is a financing thing where you pay month to month and on the contract it says that it is essentially renting the merchandise on a monthly basis and if you don't pay they will pick it up. They are refusing to be compliant with the contract and just keep moving my due date out so that I don't have a payment due. BUT also refuse to pick it up. Reporting to me it's not fair that they have to pay for it either (when they are going to sell it to rent a center and they will sell the pieces for them) I want the furniture removed from my home and I will NEVER buy from rooms to go again after this nightmare. Can anyone offer advise? They called me today after I called and complained that they hadn't called since the inspection and customer service reports they were calling to set up a exchange of merchandise. Why? What part of I don't want it is not understood. Someone please help. I am also sending this complaint to the better business bureau as well. This is ridiculous how can someone force you too keep something you don't want because they sold you the wrong thing and literally just bluntly refuse to remove it from your home?

Dresser defect
July 19, 2023

Buyer Beware. Stay away. I bought new furniture that I waited 7 months to arrive. Within a few months the top finish of the dresser came off and went down to the wood. They said it was not a manufacture's defect. Of course it was. I did not pour acid or spill anything on it. Both Rooms To Go and Fortegra warranty refuse to help. Both are scam companies.

In the being of our purchase everything seemed to be okay. Salesman Mike. I and my husband selected the Glenira Land Brown 5-piece King, we were told this bedroom set was being discontinued. IT displayed 2night stand, a chaser drew, dresser, canopy king bed. It was listed under $ 2000. Told Mike we would like to purchase the whole set, we wanted everything. I purchased nightstand separated with my credit card. My husband received store credit. This order was taking very long to process for some reason Mike couldn't get the order to go through, Sherry a store managers step in to help Mike process the order. Mike asks if we wanted deliver & set, it was dropped off at the door. Which was a lie also. We received dresser & King bed. WE DID NOT RECEIVE the chaser drew. We called and spoke with one of the Manger, to explain our order was wrong, look at your receipt. Which was true it shows that the Chester drew was not listed, we tried to explain that order was wrong. A store manager told my husband that we should never trust a sale person that works for Room to Go. We were told my one of the mangers they would schedule pick up for bedroom suit up, that never happen. No call from sale person or mangers. All we wanted is what we paid for or try to resolve our order, the order was wrong. But we felt like we were lied to just to get a sale that provided false advertisement. Not one Manger try to correct the situation. NO CHESER DREW was ever received. Location: Columbus GA

The good and bad
June 26, 2023

The sales people and delivery team were professional and helpful. They did push the 3 year warranty and don't seem to give the honest details of it. Within 3 months the cushions were breaking down and you could feel the boards in the couch. The quality is terrible especially for the prices.

Well I purchased an entire all leather sectional and tables for my mother last year. One of the rails under one recliner was bent so They brought a new recliner. We both had a lot going on during this time as I was getting ready for spine surgery then my mom was hospitalized. So when I got mom back home about 2 wks later...after they delivered it I noticed that the chair arm is leaning a little outward, not standing up correctly. I had spine surgery Then End Of October 2022 and was unable to call them.when I finally did they said it is not covered because I had 30 days to contact them Once I Noticed It. Life happens and mom being hospitalized and me having spine surgery, needing months to recover and to learn to walk again. None of that was taken into consideration...extended Warranty said that It would not be covered and will stay as it is. I paid way too much money for them to bring another chair in with another issue and it not to be covered because Life changing experiences occurred that prevented me from being able to call them. Unacceptable and Discouraging that after they get your money, no matter what occurs, it is not covered under the extended warranty under NO CIRCUMSTANCES after 30 days.

3 deliveries driver 1st cursed at me and left the house because he asked me what was wrong with the furniture and my answer was its damage. He said F this and left with my furniture on the truck. Then the next driver came and destroyed my brand new floors cause. He obviously doesn't know how to take a section all apart. Or put? It back together carrying it outside and denting my front doors. Corporate says the claims department SEID will call you. Well they emailed me from an email that is do not reply rooms. To go? So how do you give them the pictures and an explanation of what happened? This. Is such a joke this company is pathetic? They do not care about their customers. I do not recommend anyone buying from the store. They will not honor their warranties they have damaged my floors. I need a brand new front door that's about $1500. And you get absolutely nowhere and then on top the delivery driver forged my name cause I refused delivery of the damaged items the absolute worst

Been waiting since 9/9/22 for a deposit and payments refund of product that was delivered wrong twice and returned. First attempt they delivered a different color from display that was in showroom (Hilton Head Bedroom King Set- Teal). It was a blue set they delivered. Tried to reorder and they said color is different from showroom so convinced us to go in white color with a discount. When they came out to swap the blue set for the white set they had a Queen Set. We had waited 4 months for the Teal set that was Blue. We waited another 2 months for the White set only to be wrong. At that point I said take it all back while the driver called the customer service at the local Room To Go. They were very rude and condescending about our wait time, color, and there mistake. To shorten this story we were sent bills from Synchrony for product we did not have. After months of back and forth they finally removed the charges which they threaten with collections, we still haven't received our downpayment and payments made. They sent a check for $.02 in the mail.

Well done
April 24, 2023

Because in life we must be fair and good people must be highlighted, previously I made a negative review because I did not receive help with a piece of furniture that I bought and it had been damaged, after calling several people in the store and in Customer service, I received a call from Mr. PJ Polanco, manager of the store and he gave us all the help we needed with the furniture and a new guarantee, we finally have our new furniture and the joy of knowing that there are still good people, empathetic and with the sense of belonging that It is needed for customers to want to return, thank you, thank you

I am extremely upset and disappointed in Rooms To Go customer service. I purchased a desk for $1738 with tax. The delivery crew delivered it and it was damaged. They said np will replace the top of the desk. They sent another crew for the 2nd time time to replace the top and they couldn't get the top off and said I will need to replace the entire desk. The 3rd time the crew sent out replaced the entire desk but guess what it was damaged AGAIN. They called and said we will get another replacement to you. This time #4 they came and the replacement was one I would live with, it had a minor scratch in the middle but much better than all the ones we had but guess what this crew could not disassemble the desk like crew #2 to do the replacement. OMG I am so frustrated at this point so thry couldn't do the exchange. Then they called to tell me the item is out of stock and there's nothing they can do but return it.

AFTER 2 MONTHS OF FRUSTRATION WITH THIS COMPANY AND SPENDING ALMOST $20,000 IN FURNITURE I WILL NEVER PURCHASE FTOM THEM AGAIN. FIND ANOTHER FURNITURE STORE. ROOMS TO GO IS AWFUL!

Poor quality and warranty is a SCAM! I purchased 2 "top grain leather" eric church sofas in mid July of 2021 for $3,100 and with minimal use of an hour or less per day they are already falling apart. The leather is cracked and discolored in the main seating area's, the once beautiful stitch work is coming undone in multiple areas and the manual recliners regularly get jammed. The salesman at this place push the Fortegra 3 year extended warranty at time of purchase by telling the customer's it will cover everything under the sun from cracking and peeling etc however when I called to file a claim they tell me to read the fine print because the leather defects and stitchwork are not covered and only the reclining issue would be serviceable under warranty. I have had furniture with considerably more use last MUCH longer and not have these issues. Rooms to go does not stand by the products they offer and the warranty they push on you is an outright scam.

We had just bought a new house so we needed new furniture for it. We went to Rooms to go and bought a living room set, a dinning room set and a king size bedroom set. Took 3 months for delivery but that wasn't the issue. They had added an warranty to each piece that I bought without knowing they charged for the added warranty, well a little over 2 years later I had some issues with the couch armrest caving in and you could hear them crunch when you leaned on them and also had a tear in the back cushion caused by my puppy which was supposed to be covered by their accidental damage portion of the warranty. I had 2 representatives show up, one called into his office and took pics of the damages then he had told me the parts would be mailed directly to me then I would have to call them so they could come make the repairs. Well months past by so I went to their online to check the claim status and it said I was denied!
What the@!?!?!? The rep told me parts would be shipped to me? If I was denied why would he say the parts are gonna be shipped out? So if you plan on shopping from Rooms to Go DO NOT BUY THE WARRANTY as they will not honor it. It's just another way for them to take money from you without you even know you are paying for a warranty, maybe I should have looked at it better but honestly I was focused on the monthly payment I could afford. I will never buy any warranties from anyone again nor will I buy from Rooms to Go and I would advise others to avoid them as well... Who knew the furniture business was so crooked.

If I could give them 0 stars, I would! I urge everyone to please be aware of rooms to go! Where the furniture seems beautiful until you get it home. I'm Tammy Chapman and I was so happy to have purchased my brand new sectional and a dining room set, until the sectional that I bought worked for about a month before all the issues started. First the electrical system stopped working and has never started working again. Second the dining room chairs started cracking and ripping and it hasn't stopped yet. No worries, that's why you get insurance right? Wrong. Rooms To Go, what is the point of having insurance that doesn't cover anything? I called and spoke with a customer service agent from Rooms To Go in April of 2022 who told me they would create and submit the claim to the insurance company but that was just a broken promise. My claim was NEVER submitted. I then called back and I was advised to contact the insurance company and file a claim with them and so I did just that... SEVERAL times. I called over and over and spoke with many different reps because no one was contacting me about my issue. By the hundredth phone call (of course i'm exaggerating, but it was many phone calls later) I was informed that I was already outside of the time frame for coverage. This is so unacceptable on so many levels. I've been trying to get this issue resolved for almost a year now with no help from neither Rooms To Go nor the insurance company. I'm paying A LOT of money for furniture that doesn't work and is ripping more and more by the day. I WILL be contacting Action 9 and the Better Business Bureau since Rooms To Go refuses to assist a loyal customer.

Save your money
February 7, 2023

Worst experience with a furniture I have ever had! Save yourself the stress and aggravation and go somewhere else, customer service is awful, delivery is awful, delivery guys take no care whatsoever in unloading your furniture. The first lovesywas damaged, so we had to take another day off for them to deliver another one. Well, that one was dropped off the back of the truck, so they wanted us to take another day a third time for another replacement. We said no,they said they would give us a discount but it would void our warranty, we said absolutely not, not on a power loveseat. Go to Nebraska Furniture Mart, at least they give you a full refund if you're not happy with damaged furniture. This review is for the Rooms To Go at the colony in Dallas. Purchase was JAN 2023

I am typically not a review person. However rooms to go custom service is does not exist. I have been transferred back and forth with no one willing to help. I have had the same issue since Nov 2022. I have been lied to, dismissed and most importantly have not be refunded for a simple transaction.

This business is better off if they call it Junk to go! We bought a $4,000 sofa and loveseat from them which were recliners as well. The first week it broke! Then we went back to the store and exchanged that with another set different style. That one broke as well and the seats started bending. We went back to the store shy and complained to the store manager and wanted to return the whole thing and get our money back but they didn't refund us. So we decided to pick a regular (no recliner, non electronic) sofa and loveseat. After one month the zipper on the seat cover broke. We called the warranty department which we paid $350 for, to fix the zipper. They send someone to take a picture and it's been more than one month that we didn't hear from them! This is a crook company which overcharges people for the junks they sell. The quality of their furnitures is below ZERO! I WILL NEVER EVEN STEP IN THAT STORE ANYMORE!

Damaged furniture
January 6, 2023

Rooms to go delivered a damaged sofa & chair. I had to wait a month for an exchange. The new sofa is damaged as well after I was told it would be inspected for damage before it's delivered.I was asked to wait another month for a different sofa. Go somewhere else for furniture! The delivery drivers don't give a dam about damaging the furniture or your personal property. I am so sorry I bought from them, now I'm stuck with them.
