I am a new customer and I sign up and was approved by them via email, I even upgrade. They sent me some matches but when i went to log into, their system would not take my log in (aol) or my password. I request a reset - several times and have not gotten anything at all. Is this site a SCAM? I am wondering since I am not getting a reply from them. Has anyone else had this issue?

If I could give it a zero I could. Who asks people to pay a 'membership fee' so you could find a room to live in which is BY THE WAY - A BASIC HUMAN NECESSITY. Lmao tf. We are already going to end paying for monthly rent for the room. You are probably going to say 'oh include your contact number when you message them for free' so the person on the other end who can read messages cos they have a membership can read it and contact you outside the website. Haha you know what? Nah. We don't even pay a 'membership fee' online to do online grocery shopping, plus other hundreds of websites helping people find homes/rooms. This website is unecessarily greedy af. Plus your users are not legit/properly verified.

I paid for a 2 mo. Membership. I sent out like 15 messages. No replies. I asked if they have any othet actual paying members, no reply. I asked if perhaps they could tell paying members if the "member" can actually read the message, so it doesn't waste my time writing into cyber space, No reply. The final insult, they just sent me an email stating that my account was being deactivated due to inactivity. I have 39 lousy days left per my CC receipt, and I was on their waste of a site yesterday! WIsh I had checked the ratings first. I think I will check with the Att. Generals office about them, they usually are quite helpful

I signed up for a one month membership, since I just started renting a house and needed to find a roommate. Throughout the entire month, I was matched with plenty of people, but when reaching out never heard anything back from any of them. Throughout the entire month the only messages sent to me were from obvious scammers. (I think I received three throughout the month). Of course, the day after my subscription ran out, I started receiving messages. I assume it was to coax me to resubscribe. I wouldn't waste my time with this site. A Facebook group Works 100 times better for free

The website was great to use and I found a roommate within a two week period. It's going on two months. The website was easy to use. Tenants AND landlords, do your due diligence.

The website is extremely deceptive. Save your money. I requested a refund from the support e-mail and got no response. I'll be stopping by the BBB next if I can't get one.

I feel it is secure & has streamlined profiles for more exact matches.
Never pay money for the service. This guy tried to send me extra money that was then removed from my account. I was trying to scam me. He's from Nigeria.

This app/site creates fake users who will message you. They will create profiles of attractive people to send you a message. Then, you are not able to view their message unless you pay a fee. Once you pay the fee and try to read the message, the user is inactive due to violating policy. Every guy will get a message from Amanda, sometimes Amanda K, sometimes another letter. Do not use it! It is all fake users to trap you for a paid subscription!

They have you make a profile and jump through all their hoops which is all good and fine, then they pull a literal Rope-A-Dope on you and make you either pay in order to view your messages or you can't view them at all. Plenty of other sites out there that at least let you have a basic package to contact people and interact with them effectively without giving out credit card info. I wish I had looked this site up before I even bothered. If you're on a tight schedule to find a place to live, this is simply infuriating and DEFINITELY NOT the place to look.
PS If the jerks running it had an ounce of decency they would have you pay before SENDING any messages. But no, they'd rather dangle the carrot in front of you and make it blatantly obvious you had wasted your time otherwise. F this site.

I wrote a very detailed and comprehensive description of my place, myself and what I'm looking for. But I could not paste it into the Field on the site without it appearing as one large paragraph with no spaces.
There is no attempt made to match what you are looking for with prospective Roommates.
I got daily "matches" from people I would not consider. (too young, too old, not a match, not even same city)
All messages back and forth are treated like texts. Press "Enter" and message gets sent. Incredibly difficult to communicate.
All this after spending the $15 to read profiles.
Complete waste of Money and time.
Unless website for finding prospective roommates.
I found great people on Craigslist for free.

Waste of time. You can't view any messages unless you pay. Even if the person you're sending messages to/receiving messages from has already paid. The website is doubly greedy and provides nothing in return. There are equivalent websites that don't require you to pay. DON'T BOTHER.

I have used roommates.com in the past for a room I had available for rent and paid for the VIP membership. I was able to search in the age group that I was looking for and within a month of chatting with a few people was able to find my roommate. I recently went back to roommates.com now a few years later to find a new roommate and found that the site had changed a great deal. I paid the price for a month of VIP with no luck. Much of what I saw was people who wanted to hook up. Is this a dating site? I just wanted to rent my room. I was greatly disappointed this time around.
