Don't buy electric parts purchase a gas fuel pump with sender, removed tank to install and put all back together. Then found sender was no good had to remove tank and put old sender on new unit. Not worth saving a few dollars buying it on line because one the item was no good and had to do the job twice.

The prices of the parts have went up and what they used to be the shipping prices are outrageous and half the time when you order a part you don't know if it's even going to be the right one or not.
Your parts dont show and you never get a refund for parts that never are delivered. Contact customer service to get a rude message back that states take it up with your renters insurance? This company os a rip off artist this has happened to me and my wife with parts that cost over a hundred dollars... Even sending in video and photo proof no one came to my door in fresh snow no indentation of a package...
RockAuto had a good price on part. I needed it quickly so I paid for FedEx Express two day shipping. FedEx delivered late and while RockAuto refunded me for part (less return shipping) they refused to file a claim with FedEx for shipping refund which was guaranteed.
I ordered a number of items from these guys the night before and realized that some of the items I ordered were not needed. The next morning I attempted to get a hold of someone, which apparently you can't do over the phone anymore, and was only able to send an email for their "customer service". After attempting to cancel the order via email the customer service representatives were completely unhelpful and only gave me the read off the screen answer. They didn't even attempt to pick up a phone and see what the true status of my order was. They told me that the order and already been shipped and I was unable to cancel the order, which was a complete lie. After going back and forth with them I quickly realized they had no intentions of providing actual customer service, so I called both the credit card company and FedEx to cancel my order myself. Which was much easier than dealing with the incompetency of Rock Auto representatives. Myself and my family have ordered parts from Rock Auto for many years and have become extremely dissatisfied with this recent experience. The quality of the service provided has hit Rock Auto bottom. With that there is nothing else to credit this company with anymore seeing as NONE OF THE PARTS THEY SELL ACTUALLY COME FROM THEM. They are a middle man that does nothing except bridge the gap between a buyer and a seller. For being a family owned company they were SIGNIFICANTLY worse to deal with than both FedEx and American Express. Rock Auto has become a joke
They're really crooks. I ordered 2 parts and paid a 53 dollar rush delivery for. My order was shipped separately and 1 part came 3 days later which made me buy the part twice due to timing. I had no need for the part at this point, so upon returning the part through FedEx I was charged 40 dollars. ROCKAUTO deducted shipping costs and taxes from my refund for receiving the package i paid out of pocket to return, which should be unlawful to do so. I strongly recommend you to go a different route in car parts. The worst online experience ever and i would give them a half of star rating if it was an option.
I purchased new tire pressure sensors from them. To avoid having to pay 69 a piece at discount tire the new sensors were installed and didn't work so I ended up having to pay the 69 a piece and then when i tired to return the sensors i purchased they told me bc they had been installed already they could not refund my 140ish for my parts! Bc I am suppose to know they don't work with out installing them? They were less than helpful! I will never purchase parts from them again! They suck!

Ordered tail lights for my f150, when I received them one was cracked. Contacted rock auto and with no questions asked they shipped my new replacement in two days! Thanks rock auto for your prompt service and I'm totally satisfied! Great company will use them from now on!
Received one of two struts. Label on box correct but strut was wrong. Had to send back. You can't contact anyone there to check stock to see if they have correct item in stock to replace. Wanting to change over both struts with same mfg'r of strut and not taking a chance, I wanted to cancel other strut still at warehouse. You can't if FedX # was created. Prices are nice. But the risk is lost time finding the part is wrong and no-one to talk to! Now I'll get the second strut which I tried to cancel and spend time returning it.

RockAuto lacks quality control. I was sent brake calipers with brackets that didn't fit the listed vehicle. Because the calipers fit and I needed to have brakes on my car ASAP, I installed the calipers and then informed RockAuto that the brackets were too small. I was trying to help rectify a listing problem but ended up just wasting my time by writing 5 emails and sending photos proving that the parts were incorrect, because RockAuto did create 2 service tickets, but both of them were closed without warning without resolution. Know that the same wrong parts are still being sent to other customers.
I am a independent shop and have utilized rock auto at times as to save customers a bit of cash. I have used them 15-20 times in the past. Until this last order I was fairly pleased. The latest victim is a 2008 Silverado w/ 5.3 AFM. Purchased lifters, trays, gaskets, AFM manifold and bolts. If I gave the lifters 2hours of run time would be a huge overshot. Initially had one collapsed lifter, after replacing all lifters now I have 11 of the 16 collapsed, and 4 of 11 sheared the pin holding AFM lifters together. So... the lifters fail, take out 4rockers, multiple pushrods and obliterate the lifter trays. The horrible customer service is returning the lifters and I bought a better set and paid out the $#*! for next day delivery. It's been one week and I still haven't received the new lifters and the asshats with customer service keep telling me that it's fedex fault, but the tracking number deems the package was never sent to the carrier. Oh I forgot to mention that I work for a large government company that delivers mail. So I know for a fact what their saying is bull$#*!. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. Their return policy is bull$#*!, will not refund money, and say they can't do anything about the parts failing and causing $5-600 more damage. Wtf. This was a $1500 1day job initially, now I'm in this thing for almost $3000 in parts and labor and going on 20 days because they can't seem to get me the GD parts that I paid for and now they're telling me they will not accept a labor claim, nor refunding the $$ i paid for overnight shipping. If I had this many complaints about this particular manufacturer, I wouldn't sell their parts anymore because they suck. Definitely looking into seeking retribution
I ordered struts and shocks for my car and somehow it charged me twice for them. Not only did I get a call back as soon as it happened [after hours] but they also put the money back in my account by the next morning. Great job Rockauto. Keep up the great service.
My truck requires two thermostats. Reviews said I should only buy AC Delco brand. Rock Auto had them listed as, "AC DELCO OEM" thermostats. One was, the other was a Japanese knock off. I sent two emails to them (David and Trace), and both employees responded that they are not responsible for companies putting non-OEM products in the boxes. The Japanese thermostat was in a box with Japanese labeling, clearly NOT an AC Delco product. They refused to reimburse me for shipping or returning the products. Will never do business with them again, and will report this to the BBB.
I ordered a part from RockAuto using Next Day Express Shipping and the web site indicated that I should receive the part by a specific date. The part was late and RockAuto's response was that they do not guarantee shipping. Other companies such as Amazon do guarantee shipping, this was disappointing and I will not do business with them again.
RockAuto will send you damaged parts and will stop responding if you want to file a complaint. Asked them if they were going to pay for new packaging to send it since it arrived destroyed and refused to do so. Out of money to pay for packaging when it wasn't my fault. They don't care about customers. Buy elsewhere

The last 2 times I ordered parts from them for 2 different vehicles the parts were not compatible with the vehicle. It was listed as they would fit and they didn't. Return shipping is out of the question because then I would be out even more money. You need to do your research to make sure that is the correct part they will list anything and say it will fit your vehicle. Selling these parts will be difficult as I have to find out what vehicle these parts will fit.
