You have got to be kidding me. $7 to email a return label or they can mail it. Please tell me why it cost $7? This place sucks. Stay far far away. Customer service is horrible.
$#*!ty Service, scam company, they shipped wrong parts, they tried to blame me for it, then they admitted the mistake and gave a free label but when they refunded the amount, they deducted the cost of shipping finding a bunch of excuses, in other words I paid to return wrong parts they shipped.

I purchased a catalytic convertor from Eastern Catalytic via RockAuto. It was the first product I ever bought from RockAuto's website. This item failed after 3 months of use. It was advertised to last either 5 years or 50,000 miles. Eastern Catalytic claimed that I was responsible for the failure because the exhaust leaving the engine is allegedly overheated, thereby burning the converter. However, I am certain Eastern Catalytic doesn't supply/make quality products, which subsequently, reflects poorly on RockAuto, since they promote EC to their customers. Although, I am not an automotive expert; I am certain the quality is poor because it is improbable that my vehicle is the cause of the failure if my original OEM converter, which worked well for 10+ years, did not fail due to overheating/burning. It simply became less efficient over years of use. I still have it and the the internal structure is totally intact.
Bottomline, I didn't get a refund from EC, and RockAuto didn't try to meet me half-way to keep a new customer. I lost $300. Stay away from RockAuto. They don't care about their customers.
I'm a long time Rock Auto customer, but I'm done. I ordered an ignition coil (along with some other parts) just to have a spare on hand during a spark plug change. I planned on keeping the part if I didn't need it because my vehicle has high mileage and you never know when you might need one! (I am military overseas without easy access to US-spec parts.) I didn't need one during the repair, but I noticed that the coil shipped by Rock Auto didn't look very much like the coils I pulled off my vehicle during the spark plug change. I ordered a Motorcraft DG-520, but Rock Auto shipped a DG-508. Unfortunately, Rock Auto has a 30-day return window, and I didn't notice until a few days past that. Almost $50 bucks down the drain! Buyer beware, if you don't treat your Rock Auto order with the excitement of nine-year-old receiving his first BB gun, you're probably screwed! There are other parts in the order that I'd like to return in this order and a couple of others, too, but in those cases, at least Rock Auto shipped the correct item (I hope). Rock Auto, if you want my business, update your return policy to at least 90 days and advertise it well!
I used to be a very loyal customer, but I think I am looking for a new parts supplier. Too bad, I really used to like these guys, but I'm getting concerned about getting ripped off. The big changes I have noticed is that the prices don't seem to have changed much but the shipping prices have increased killing their margin, they used to ship promptly but over the last year or so they have gotten very slow about processing shipping orders and customer service used to be decent and seems to have disappeared.
I have purchased lots of parts from these guys and generally always was pretty positive. I would pick the part that I wanted, order it take the cheapest shipping option. The thing that was great is that I could count on the parts being about 1/2 the price of what I could get them for locally. I checked this regularly as I have been ordering from them regularly about 1 to 2 times per month on average over the last 7 years or so to the tune of several hundred dollars per year possibly up to $1000.
You all are the Best at Getting a customers order to them QUICK! Just want you to know THANKS

FALSE ADVERTISING. EVERY TIME I LOOK ON THIS SITE FOR PARTS, THEY DONT EVEN LIST THEM. WHEN I HAVE CALLED AND ASKED SOMEONE, THEY SAY WE DONT OFFER THAT, THEN I ASK HOW CAN U SAY ON TV AND LIE THAT YOU HAVE ALL THE PARTS YOUR CAR WILL EVER NEED, WHEN YOU DONT. BEEN HUNG UP ON MORE TIMES THAN I CAN COUNT.
If your looking for customer service at all do not purchase anything from RockAuto.com. I purchased a steering gearbox for my 2001 Excursion, installed it and the steering got worse. Believing that this brand new gear box was manufactured properly by BBB / VISION, I proceeded with the changing of the rest of the steering linkage (tie rod ends inner then outer, then track bar, stabilizer and finally ball joints, all were slightly worn but not loose. Finally took into two separate shops who both diagnosed it as the gear box, the one shop tried to adjust the gearbox but it was not assembled properly. I needed a safe vehicle for work and did not have time to remove the gear box send it back and wait for a new one, so I purchased a remanufactured one locally, the vehicle steers great.
All I wanted to do was return the gearbox for a refund I understand that I might have to eat some shipping costs and was ok with that. Rock Auto would only provide a replacement gearbox, which I find unacceptable. Considering all my local suppliers will take a product under warranty and give a full refund.

Hi, I ordered brake lines from rockauto. I decided to order the upgraded version just to be safe. I opened the box and the cheaper Chinese made brake lines were in the box. Flimsy cheap made very thin flexible brake lines. Okay. I asked for a refund because I really wanted the upgraded flexible brake lines. They were much thicker and more heavy duty for my 5400 lb truck. Hence the whole point of upgrading. Rock auto tells me they will not send me the ones I paid for with some lame excuse. They told me to mail back the ones I have they will give me a refund and I will have to pay the shipping.
I went back and forth with them through email. Will never order from them again ever. I will use amazon moving forward they have no issues taking back something that is not what you ordered and they do not send incorrect items on purpose.
Long story short not only does rock auto suck donkey doo they do not care about you or your safety, only your money. I simply just wanted free shipping for them sending me the wrong part now I have to pay for nothing basically. I am not made of money so all I can do is complain now. I ordered off amazon and no issues.
Impossible to get a hold of someone. Need to return a part that arrived broke. I don't have a printer so I am unable to return item. I would never use rock auto again and would not recommend any to.
Nine days to get WRONG Part. Then they want ME to pay return shipping. You can't talk to a real person EVER. This will be the LAST time I EVER purchase ANYTHING from them! I will be sure to let EVERYONE know!

Stay away from Rock Auto. I paid for expedited shipping. ($14) The package was supposed to be delivered on a Tuesday. Every day the website said it was on the FEDEX truck and out for delivery. Here it is, FRIDAY and still NO PACKAGE! And no customer service whatsoever. They are THE worst site I have ever purchased from. RUN FROM ROCK AUTO!
I was going to purchase a truck bumper and the shipping cost was more than the bumper. I went to Amazon and got the exact same bumper for less cost and it was FREE SHIPPING. I will never use this company...
My truck requires two thermostats. Reviews said I should only buy AC Delco brand. Rock Auto had them listed as, "AC DELCO OEM" thermostats. One was, the other was a Japanese knock off. I sent two emails to them (David and Trace), and both employees responded that they are not responsible for companies putting non-OEM products in the boxes. The Japanese thermostat was in a box with Japanese labeling, clearly NOT an AC Delco product. They refused to reimburse me for shipping or returning the products. Will never do business with them again, and will report this to the BBB.
This place is a rip off they sent me the wrong part and then charge me to return it and ask me if I want to buy another part from them. Why so they can send me the wrong part again and charge for more return shipping. Buyers I warn you not to buy from them, They ship the wrong part and will not fit, Unless you pay for return shipping they will not exchange it or refund it and all parts are from overseas. Do NOT BUY FROM ROCKAUTO!

I would honestly give them zero stars if I could. I purchased a heater hose for my car and (was definitely my fault, I admit) I forgot to put the APARTMENT number on the address label. I called to have it returned and they said they would give me a refund. I spent over $80 on this hose for the part AND for shipping. They would only refund me $12. TWELVE DOLLARS! This is absolutely OUTRAGEOUS! I will NOT be back.
I used to like RockAuto.com a few years ago. I recently changed my mind when I tried to order a drive belt tensioner and two other pulleys. Simple order. They claimed the order was filled and shipped and should arrive within two days. When the order did not arrive, I thought, okay, let me just see if there was a problem or if it is just going to take a couple more days. There is no one you can call to find out anything about your missing shipment. I say "missing" because after waiting on the phone for 45 minutes to speak to a FedEx rep, all she could say is that the tracking number does not show up in their system because the shipper did not give it to their driver for pick up. I needed to repair my truck so I went and bought the parts at a local store for about $10 more and decided to cancel the order. They will not allow cancellation because they claim the order already shipped even though they cannot prove it. I have worked in a warehouse for years and it is not hard to trace the order and show whether or not a FedEx driver scanned the shipping label when a "shipped" item was picked up. The problem is that they don't care about the customer.
I have a 99 acura integra gsr I installed the kit in it, ran fine for two weeks. Then out of nowhere the tensioner for the timing let my exhaust cam turn 90° from tdc and damaged my motor.
