Do not buy from ROCK AUTO PARTS dot CON. They suck you in with low prices and when you checkout the shipping charges are sky high. Now you have to either leave the site after wasting all of your time looking for the parts or pay for the ridiculous shipping prices!
It gets WORST
After putting in my vehicle information, a bunch of parts are shown that will fit my vehicle. NOPE! After they arrived only some fit. I even asked for their customer service people to double check my order to avoid problems. Thier lazy $#*! answer, if the part shows up in the part list it will fit. NO IT DID NOT FIT.
Now I want to return the parts that don't fit and ROCKAUTOPARTS dot CON says "Sure just pay the ridiculous shipping prices again."
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!
I will go to my local auto parts place and get the parts there, never had a problem with bringing back parts that were wrong.
Rockauto has it's uses, just like Harbour Freight has it's uses. However unlike Harbour Freight RockAuto sucks when it comes to returns. You order something with a core charge they should send a return label that pay for the package of the returns. However they don't, tbey actually expect you to pay for a label ( $7) and you still have to pay for the return price for whatever service your using ( via USPS, FEDEX, UPS) and they argue with you about core charges. It's total garbage how they operate the return part of it and they have lost a customer, and I would advise anybody else to just go to your local parts store and just pay for your stuff there having to deal with them on returns is just not worth the price difference.
I purchase a CSF radiator with a 2 YEAR warranty and it lasted a year and 11 months. I had to purchase another one at $240 send back the defective radiator. I was issued a refund. The replacement CSF radiator I received lasted 4 months and starting leaking from the same spot. I contacted Rockauto and they said they couldn't do anything for me since the radiator was no longer in warranty. The radiator is obviously a manufacturers defect. DONT USE ROCKAUTO!
I ordered a front end kit for my Honda Accord 2.4l. The kit had 8 components to it. Upper and Lower Control Arms for each side, Inner and Outer Tie Rods for each side, Also upper ball joints were in the kit, but were not needed because all ball joints are already compressed in the upper and lower control arms. The inner tie rods, and the upper control arms are for a Honda Accord 3.0l and do not fit my Accord 2.4l. That is half the components in the kit that do not fit, or are not needed. When receiving the kit, I checked to see if the lower control arm was a match, it was, so the rest of the kit should match all parts for car. Found out on November 20th when the work was done that the 1/2th the kit parts did not all match, Rock auto will not refund, or replace wrong parts in the kit because they were not sent back by the 11th. Kit arrived third week of October. How can anyone order parts from this company after reading this? See photo also.

Am buying several parts, the warehouses will change locations DURING the purchase.
This causes me to have to spend more money on shipping, and I cant understand why the warehouse would change --- mid order --?
Other than that I always have positive experiences with this company.
What they dont know, is when the warehouses start changing around mid order... I just cancel it all together, and get the parts locally

How can you not have an email that works. System says rockauto.com. Yet you can not send an email or ask a question to be answered,several times. What can I do, would like some help
CALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME, SPENT 10 MIN, ASKING ABOUT A RETURN AND MAKING SURE WE GET THE RIGHT PART THE NEXT TIME. THE ANSWER EVERY TIME WAS "GO TO OUR WEBSITE" WELL IF THE WEBSITE GAVE ME THE ANSWER WHY WOULD I BE CALLING?
I kind of knew that the RockAuto turn signal relay (for Honda Odyssey) they had on their site might not be the OEM part given that it was about $30 cheaper than the Honda part. But all the photos they showed for the "WVE" brand part they showed were of the OEM part (e.g., with all the info on the outside), so I thought I might be getting an OEM part afterall. See photo of actual part received--clearly not the same. Why not show photos of the actual WVE part and the OEM part side by side? Anyway, it works fine, and at least it is made in Taiwan, not in China.
The Rockauto website is great, except when there is an ERROR in THEIR listing. They have no live customer service, and after trying to point out the error THEY have in their listing with the on-line system, the automated response is "it appears it was not your fault nor was it ours" therefore we will send a return label and issue a refund for the part, but not the shipping. SO I HAVE TO EAT THE SHIPPING FOR THEIR MISTAKE! WHAT A LOUSY WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS! I owned my own business for 25 years and if we made a mistake, which was rare, we refunded all the money, or replaced the part with the correct one and shipped it next day delivery, all at our expense. That's what a company with integrity does..
I Ordered a AC COMPRESSOR, THE PRICE WAS AS MUCH AS ANY RETAIL AUTO PARTS DEALER, AND THE PART WAS DEFECTIVE, WHEN I TRIED TO RETURN IT, THEY MAKE ALL SORTS OF DEMANDS WHICH ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO SATISFY THEN THEY REFUSE TO REFUND..
This company has the worst customer service if you ever get any sort of customer service from a live human. For the past three to four years I noticed the company completely changed every time I order something they either forget to send me something in the order or they send me the wrong parts for which I'm forced to pay the shipping to return. Plenty of other websites online that do free shipping, free returns and give you good customer service. Plus what makes it even worse is their website sometimes lists parts for your vehicle that are not actually for your model. This happened to me multiple times and again you have to pay to return the product to them even though they listed it wrong on their website. Save yourself a big headache order somewhere else. Believe me the products will be better and they will actually fit your car. I included a picture of part of my latest order. It's the front brake pads for my car they were supposed to come with stainless steel clips that you replace when doing the brake pads. That's how they were listed on their website that they would come with stainless steel hardware. And they didn't. I informed them that they forgot to send them and they weren't in the box. Got a rude email from them.
I purchased a rack and pinion from Rock Auto just over one year ago, and I had to have it replaced this week because it was already worn out. I tried to go through the warranty return process, but to no avail. I was told the fastest way to get my car repaired was to buy another part, and then use the warranty process to return the old part. I was told to start with the part I had just purchased, and arrange for a warranty return from there. I did as the instructions said, answered the questions asked, and it then told me I had to arrange for the return from the original order for this part, not the new one, which contradicted the first instructions. When I go to the original part to start a return, there is not an option to do a warranty return. No way exists that I have found to talk to a live person to solve this problem. So, Rock Auto really does not allow for a warranty return, they just send you in circles until you get tired. This is the last time I purchase anything from this company as it clearly does not stand behind anything it sells. I rated the company one star because there was no lower number. If I could give zero stars or a negative, I would.
Order shocks for my 73 charger. They sent the wrong ones. Thay wanted me to pay for return. Customer service is no good. Not able to talk to a real person. Will never order from them again.
I order a cam sensor Jun 30, and it was lost by the shipping company I did get it but took 3 weeks in the mean time because the part was sposed to take 1 week my employer allowed me that 1 week finally it took so long to find it and I didn't have any more money to go somewhere else for the part, my employer had to let me go, so July 19th they gave me a store credit for the part, 2 days later it was found and sent to me within two days, well rockauto found this out and said you haven't paid for the part so pay or return it, well I lost my job and all they could say is pay for the part and we will cover the shipping so now I have had to go get a lawyer if they would have said keep the part at no charge which was only 20.00 I would have dropped it this is rediculoua
Have received a few items that where made outta low quality material but for most part happy continue to use them for our car parts alot of fair quality parts as well
The worst online company I have ever had to deal with. The website gave inaccurate fitment. Sent all the items back and still have not received my refund.
You can't call them. I have an order that they claim they shipped, but fedex claims they haven't received the shipment. In the meantime, my car is unusable.
Found parts we needed, but refuse to pay $45 for shipping. Bought elsewhere for much less shipping charge. Now I see these bad reviews and glad I did.
I ordered shocks and struts for my Toyota 4Runner. They had a recommended a certain type of shock which are absolutely the worst ride that I have ever had on any vehicle that I have ever owned. I would was told that I couldn't return them because they were already installed. How would I know how they rode if I hadn't installed them. This is bull$#*!. Autozone is a better deal. Dumbasses!
I found exactly the part I needed (timing belt kit) for $160 less than anywhere else. I placed my order and received the part a day earlier than promised. Really happy with the service!
