Unable to contact anyone about a problem. Shipment delayed 3 days with no recourse. Shipping company says to contact Rockauto but I cant. This online stuff is a joke.
Ordered 2 items 2 day FedEx cost 36.00 they shipped 1 FedEx and shipped 5he other one global mail from somewhere else with a few of 2 weeeks I contacted them ask why they blew me of stay away rockautto. Dorybags

Finally my bank got through to them and upon restarting my cart it finally went through
I did not mention the other cards I tried, the exposure of personal information, even the alternate use of my PayPal account
What a waste
They must have been really desperate over fraud to out this noose over their head

You can get better service anywhere else. They often double order your parts. Billing twice then wanting you to pay for the returns to get your refund. Good luck trying to cancel the second order. Every time you click cancel part on any line item.The site goes to the blue/gray bar of death stating processing. No phone number or quick link customer service email address. This was just the latest with my sons order I personally gave up years ago. I work full time ordered parts that were core returnable, but didn't do the job within the core returnable time. Well dont have that problem with my local store. Furthermore just try to get a warranty replacement and get back on the road LOL. My local store I enter with the old and generally leave with the new part. Oh and yes I've had the double bill issue as well, however, my order was small enough I didn't bother at the time. Actually had two of the same Silverado's. Which also brings up the issue I've already replaced those rear calipers again on the first truck from piston stick on the right side. Yes at the time I purchased the least expensive. So maybe my bad. Have lifetime calipers now
If you read the reviews, you should know that this company has no customer service. They also have no warehouses or inventory. All the parts are packed and shipped from large wholesalers or manufacturers. You may notice the most positive reviews are from Auto repair places that order parts on a regular basis. You need access to a computer and printer in case you need to print shipping labels for returns and follow strict return directions. After researching the company, I felt as long as you are ordering name brand parts or more higher end products, chances of getting faulty or incorrect parts are less likely. Also you should do diligence in looking up the correct part numbers so the mistake doesn't start with you. In my case I needed an air strut for an old MBZ. Other competitors wanted an avg price of $550 but rockauto was selling it for $400. I was ordering a new part of the most popular brand for that part and saving $150 seemed worth it. I ordered the part online and received it 2 days later without any problems. If you are ordering lots of cheaper parts, the savings may or may not be worth the potential customer service issues but my experience was 5 star.
My order was sent by FedEx and the shipper delivered it several days late, and to the wrong house - RockAuto now says I have to wait 3 business days before they will even think about doing anything about it - no pressure from them on the shipper (who is their vendor and should respond better than when I call and get some helpless Indian guy on the phone) and no credit for the parts. Now my vehicle sits for a second week without the parts I need because they have no phone number whatsoever and only use email to communicate. My advice is that unless you do not need your car parts any day this calendar year DO NOT ORDER FROM ROCKAUTO.COM
You may look at various items to purchase but beware, they will give a different name and description of the EXACT SAME ITEM. And IF you buy it you are pretty much STUCK with it because to return it they will charge you enough return shipping so it is not even financially practical. And to top it all off THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! No phone number, no link, no e-mail, nothing! Just a "help" icon that is as helpful as bailing out the Titanic with a shot glass!
Ordered a thermostat. Paid for 2 day shipping. UPS states the sender requested delivery a WEEK past the due date then it still doesn't show up. Rockauto then wants AN ADDITIONAL 8 DAYS TO LOCATE THE PACKAGE I WAS SUPPOSED TO RECEIVE A WEEK AGO! F U Rockauto... spent thousands with you and that's DONE!
Very disappointed as we use ROCKAUTO.COM a lot, but will no longer be doing so. This most recent purchase my husband bought a replacement CV for my 2010 Lincoln MKS. Unfortunately he is a very busy guy and it took him a month or two to actually do the replacement on my car and when he did, we were confronted with an unpleasant surprise! Although the box was correct they shipped the part in, the part itself was actually the CV meant for a CHEVY IMPALA. WRONG PART # in the RIGHT BOX. Of course the 30 day return policy is now up... and there is NO ONE in customer service to speak with. I don't even expect to get my money back, maybe just a discount on another purchase would make me happy. But no, there's no one to take care of the customers! Don't buy from here, they are shady!
I just received a cooling fan today in which was urgently needed for my only car not to mention in 100°F weather. Not only the item which cost almost $30 to ship takes 6 days to arrive but the fan is not working clearly due to poor packaging and/or manufacture. Now I have to return the item at my expense! To add injury to insult they don't have a replacement! DO NOT waste your money, time or energy with this company. Basically I just gave them $70, days wasted not to mention paying to get a ride to point A to point B. This is the 2nd time RockAuto has provided bad service. I normally shop with PARTSGEEK and never had a issue with them and they sell the same brand parts and actually give you your full refund and dont charge you extra money for the convenience. NEVER AGAIN ROCK AUTO!
I bought an alternator for my car from RockAuto on the first of June. By late October it had gone bad. The hoops you have to jump through to get a warranty replacement is exhausting AND the fact they DO NOT have a Customer Service phone line is frustrating. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER PART FROM THEM! DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THEIR LOWER PRICES!
Rock Auto Sucks! Rock Auto delievered to me a deffective Intake Manifold Actuator that cost me $150.

Ordered 2 door handles from Rock Auto. They first said both were in stock. Within minutes Of ordering and handing my money over, I am notified that they made a mistake only 1 of my items is available unless I want to pay more from a different supplier. So I cancel my order and request a refund. They issue me a credit with them instead of returning my money so I could buy the part elsewhere they kept my money. I WILL NEVER GIVE THEM BUSINESS EVER AGAIN! WHAT A TOTAL RIP OFF,!
I accidentally ordered the wrong part. Within less that the 5 minutes it took to discover my error I tried to cancel the order. There was absolutely NO way to cancel the order AND they said it had been shipped and on it's way! NO WAY! The ONLY way to get the money from my first order back was to wait till it arrived and return it AND pay the shipping! There is no phone number to talk to a human and resolve the issue which SHOULD be a simple click of a mouse! VERY dissatisfied and will never order from them again.
I ordered AC Delco Pitman arm and Idler arm. The pitman arm was authentic AC Delco but the Idler arm was attached to the idler arm bracket and both are fake. I know because I have a real ACD bracket already and they are two different part numbers and would never be that cheap. The packaging was destroyed when I got it and no way Rockauto will accept the return. Can't get ahold of anyone to prove this with photos. Lesson learned. Don't buy this junk.
I ordered a standard rotation steering gear in 7/21 for a restoration project, according to their catalog listing. Installed 1/22, only to discover that it was incorrect for my application. Consulted with manufacturer customer support who initially thought that the part had been mis-boxed. Ordered another standard rotation steering gear, because that's the only way Rock Auto would exchange part. It too, was incorrect. Consulted with factory live customer support again, and they finally admitted that what I needed was a reverse rotation steering gear. Returned one for store credit, and am stuck with one due to their bogus return policy. Rock Auto's application data is incorrect in their catalog and they wouldn't admit it, or offer any reconciliation for the initial purchase. So, the take-away is, never order parts that you won't immediately install and verify... their return policy is garbage... don't trust their application coverage... and this is the last time I'll do business with them. You can obtain parts locally for similar cost AND have live customer support.
If everything goes right - great. Any problem and you are screwed. Communications with them seem impossible but if you get the email address expect smug contradictory stonewalling.
I couldn't return 2 new controll arms cause they were 10 days past return.the sway bar links broke in a week. I couldn't wait for new ones. Went to napa to get new ones. Sent the bad ones to the same warehouse as the controll arms. They said it was the wrong place to send them to and wouldn't forward them or refund me. I already got new ones since I needed the car.So lost the sway bar price & didn't need new ones
I made an order from this company and there service is horrible! Took a week for them to ship my items. And ended up a 10 day wait for wheel bearings. Never again will I use rock auto!
