I Purchased an Airtex LR3004 and Airtex E3581M Fuel Pump Assembly for $159. THe part is twice as large as my unit and will not fit in the fuel tank. There is no customer service phone number and the online system will not allow a return since it is all automated. This is very frustrating!

There isn't enough space for this review, I got parts that didn't fit twice. First time because I was a day over the refund policy (horrible) they wouldn't refund. This time I caught them in time with rotors I was changing. Wrong size, too thick. They charged me to return and said they have to inspect. If rotor has any sign of being installed which it does you will not get a refund. Horrible scammers, because of grease on rotor they won't refund. Then want to charge to send it back! Don't waste your time! Go to local auto parts store! Trust me!
This company has no type of customer service dept. in place. Returning an item (which happens frequently) is almost impossible with these guys. You are much better off ordering a part at your local auto parts store where you can return an Item with no questions asked.

Long time customer of Rock Auto but my last order has been a nightmare. Was supposed to be here last Friday but is still in transit. NO live customer service number or email address. Can only report a problem on their website using your order number. This is my very last order with them. Save yourself the utter annoyance and shop local. You will have whatever installed on your vehicle long before an order would come in from Rock Auto. The no longer care about the customer!
I ordered new door jamb switches (dome light) for a 71 dodge demon. Their listing said the same part was for both doors. When I tried to install I discovered they were too small diameter and that the wire plug for driver side is 3 wire and passenger side is 2 wire. Obviously wrong. Sent them an email (impossible to get ahold of these people) and they requested I supply VIN, OEM part number from 1971 (Right!, like I have that!) and pictures. They said the listing was for a dodge dart but my VIN comes back as a Demon and therefore they won't pay shipping. I explained that a Demon IS a Dart, which is the same as a Duster, and a Valiant. Of course all these listings say same part fits both doors but they are all wrong. You would think they would issue return shipping for me pointing out their computer listing is wrong but they were rude and closed out the ticket to shut me up.
I ordered a timing belt and water pump from Rock Auto 51 days ago and paid extra to get it in 5 days.Im on disability and this is the only vehicle I have. After 51 days now I still have not received the part. After missing several Dr appointments and procedures my neighbor loaned me the money to go and get the part from the parts house. Rebuilt my engine and had to buy locally replacement parts for wrong parts sent. Just found out the knocking from the engine was due to the main bearings bought at RA were standard instead of. 010 under. Nice job RA - NOT!
Retracted my initial review, I failed to look closely enough inside the package, and the missing pads were behind the first set, I just didn't notice. So, I received what I had expected. And I'm pleased with the product and Rockauto!
I needed an alternator for my vehicle - the first one came with the plastic clip smashed and couldn't be installed. I ordered another and guess what, a bolt was BROKEN! Both times I paid for a mechanic to come out and replace the part and I paid for him to come for NOTHING. I guess I didn't return the first part fast enough and they won't take it back.

Got parts from them and were wrong. They wanted me to send vin number, oem number and photos of wrong and parts i was replacing. I guess they think i am a liar. I would not buy an outhouse from these $#*!s!
Ordered simple antenna to replace broken antenna on my vehicle. Entered correct, year, make, model etc for my vehicle. The part came, it looked similar, but the stud (threads) to attach it to the vehicle are 1" - 1.5" too short. I informed Rock Auto of this, and they offered to send a replacement for free (So far so good). The replacement came, but it was identical to the first part; i. E. way too short and would not fit. The part itself was only $4, but the shipping was $7; ($11 total). Still, cheaper than other sites of $17. However, when I tried to get a refund, Rock Auto says "neither of us made a mistake, so we'll issue you half of the price of the replacement part and shipping." Well the second (replacement order) was sent with complimentary shipping. So they offered to refund me $2 on an $11 purchase. More importantly, yes they did make a mistake. It was not my mistake, they offered a product stating that it would fit my vehicle, but it did not. They try to blame it on the part manufacturer, claiming it is their error. But Rock Auto has the relationship with the manufacturer, not the consumer, and if the manufacturer is providing Rock Auto with bad information, and they perpetuate that "lie" I don't know how Rock Auto can then say it is the consumer's fault. I've had previous experiences with Rock Auto and they were very positive, but this time they failed. Finally, as the title indicates, I think this could be resolved with a simple phone call and explanation, but they admittedly have no customer service line or "human being" to address the situation.
I live overseas, so shipping costs are high. They show you shipping location (they have A, B, C, D). I had two thermostats in my quickcart, location A and B. I put a cooling hose in my quickcart, location A, but oh, look at this, both thermostats are available at location B. So no shipping of hose and one thermostat from one location, means double shipping costs. I tried again: remove the hose and da-daah: thermostat location switches back to A and B. Cheaters!
I order a part I needed for my car. I paid the extra fee for overnight delivery. The shipper, Fed Ex didn't deliver my parts and Rock Auto offers absolutely no help at all. If you need something in a hurry or you are in a critical crunch for time DON'T BUY FROM Rock Auto.

Extremely dissatisfied with your customer service. After days of trying to return a part that doesn't fit you guys expect me to, supply the vin (which I did) supply the original OEM part number and since I dont have access to it expect me to call the dealership to obtain it, and provide photos of the old part verses the new. Your site said the part would fit my car. Nowhere in the description does it say I have to replace another part for the new part to fit. You guys refuse to refund me and are giving me a hard time. I have purchased from you for the past 3 years if not more and your customer service is giving me a hard time. Future reference for you guys. Make the customer happy, put in description that the part will require other replacement to fit, don't give the customer a hard time! Taking my business elsewhere now.
