Tried to call and have rock auto change shipping address as the inept fedex driver couldn't find the address, hell I've been a rockauto customer for 11 years and they couldn't / wouldn't help. Customer no service rep told me over the phone that all changes are to be made from their website, but only option is to have fedex ship parts back to rockauto and get a refund, minus the shipping. Real fair since shipping address is correct and the fedex driver simply can't find his $#*! out of a wet paper bag with a gps. So rockauto I'm done after 11 year being a loyal customer and I will never chose fedex for shipping even if I have to pay more with USPS or UPS. Time to reup my Amazon prime.
I ordered updated valve cover gasket twice from Rockauto for my cadillac cts. The picture shows the correct gasket but rockauto continues to ship old version. Really puzzling when you consider the itrm shipped and pitcure are totally different. Maybe I will get lucky and the shipper will actually look at the picture of the valve cover gasket.
I have bought several thousand dollars worth of parts from RockAuto. They used to be alot better then they are now. Now about every other order some thing is used, broken or does not fit. Oh they take back the part and pay for the shipping but you have to take the part to a FedEx location to return and then wait for them to get and inspect the part before they send out a replacement. So my car sits for at least another week for the part to arrive. I guess they really don't care about their customers or they would do a better job checking the open boxed parts for damage before they send them out. There are other auto parts companies out there to buy auto parts from.
I ordered a carb kit. The accelerator pump was wrecked and missing a part in it. I don't have the original carb on my car so when they asked me to enter the year, make, model, it returned the info of "this part week not fit your car and is therefore can not be returned"
I don't want to return it, this is the correct one I want a new pump.

My sons car broke down 200 mi from home. The repair quotes were high 2k-3k. Offering to fix the
Ac system which included the serpentine belt, pulleys along with the compressor and clutch RockAuto had the parts in stock and would ship second day for roughly $50 vs $18 regular ground. I ordered their suggested parts so that they would all be shipped from the same warehouse. Placed the order received reply end of day Thursday delivery, great! Thursday's update was end of day Friday and the rest of the order would be end of day Monday. The parts that would not be shipped for another 24 hrs could not be canceled. RockAuto's smoke and mirrors is their we are here to help you (they are not) the implied word "SHOULD" when they know they don't even ship by their implied deliver date. BBB says they have not answered complaints filed for the last year plus and have over 1121 complaints filed in the last three years. Mind you most people do not file complaints, I'm told one in nine. Ordering is iffy by the nature of the auto parts business. Rock Auto 1. No customer service 2. Misleading at best on implied delivery dates. 3. Returns good luck. Never again, absolutely not worth it!
Had a radiator from rockauto installed in my civic on October 3 2020. Only 8 months later on June 6 2021 and less than 4,000 miles later the rad literally melted and distorted while driving normal highway speed for less than a half hr. First and last time I waste my money on their junk parts.

NOWHERE was I told to retain the new part boxes to get my core fees refunded-- that info was news to me and only introduced when I started the core return process-- only a day after picking up my vehicle but long after the shop threw away the boxes.

Its been a month and I still don't have my part. Tracking number they supplied never was active. Nothing showed up ever. Contacted Customer Support 2 weeks after ordering. Every other major retailer would have just sent a new part right away but not RockAuto. They make you wait a MONTH to see if it shows up before they will lift a finger. This is an $12 part mind you. Anyone else would be, here is another one, if you end up with 2, just mail one back. Nope, RockAuto treats you like a criminal. I will look elsewhere next time.
This is the second time I've purchased from RA.com and the LAST! Customer service is NON-EXISTANT! There are NO HUMANS available to speak with. I ordered two brake rotors and was expecting delivery within one week. Too much to ask? YES! I had to get the parts locally, as the rotors took TWO WEEKS to arrive! After contacting RA.com through email, I received two identical responses from two BOTS who declared, "We're sorry that you did not receive your package on the date the carrier expected. Transit times and "Receive by" dates are estimates by the carrier and, while usually accurate, are not guaranteed by RockAuto.". Additionally, they REFUSED to provide a return shipping label. For anyone who supports RA.com, let these facts be KNOWN! If you do purchase from these scammers, MAKE SURE YOU PAY WITH PAYPAL! Paypal will pay for return shipping, as long as you sign up with them PRIOR to making any purchase using THEM! RA.COM, you get the award for THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER... CONGRATULATIONS FOR YOUR LOW PRICE GUARANTEE. You may have VOLUME SALES, but you have lost this customer's LOYALTY! NEVER, EVER AGAIN!
I personally have had a good to fair customer experiance with Rock Auto. I like the ease of part lookup, I like the usually low prices, I like the quality of the parts I get, They have treated me well on returns and refunds. The one thing I hate about their site is, I cannot get the tracking info on my part easily and quickly. You should be able to get your tracking info on your order in three to four mouse clicks, without having to enter a damn thing. With Rock Auto, you really need to print out each one of your orders or at least scribble down the order number. Now I shop humdreds of web sites, Top of the list is Amazon, Ebay, Mouser Electronics, etc. etc. Getting the tracking info on any of these sites is a snap, no more than four mouse clicks and you know when your item is going to arrive. I would give Rock Auto feedback on this but, the only way I can see that you can do this is to call them. I plan to call them today and give them this advice, this is my only real complaint.
Ordered 4 TPMS. Did not work. Contacted manufacturer who said based on serial numbers all units at least 9 years old and batteries likely dead. Returned but made to pay shipping. Why should i pay for their mistake. Quite the rip off. Would give no stars.
I am a mechanic and frequently buy parts online to save money. I will never order from rockauto again. I got stuck with too many parts because they are very hard to get returns taken care of. There isn't any customer service either. So if parts don't fit there isn't anyone to help. I have been sent the wrong parts from what I ordered and had to eat the money. I recommend doing more searching for a more reputable parts dealer. I wish I would have.
Part was built cheap and shipping box was not packed good at all. Not going to buy anything again. You can get like quality in your local area look around and dont have to pay return shipping.
I purchased a rack and pinion from Rock Auto just over one year ago, and I had to have it replaced this week because it was already worn out. I tried to go through the warranty return process, but to no avail. I was told the fastest way to get my car repaired was to buy another part, and then use the warranty process to return the old part. I was told to start with the part I had just purchased, and arrange for a warranty return from there. I did as the instructions said, answered the questions asked, and it then told me I had to arrange for the return from the original order for this part, not the new one, which contradicted the first instructions. When I go to the original part to start a return, there is not an option to do a warranty return. No way exists that I have found to talk to a live person to solve this problem. So, Rock Auto really does not allow for a warranty return, they just send you in circles until you get tired. This is the last time I purchase anything from this company as it clearly does not stand behind anything it sells. I rated the company one star because there was no lower number. If I could give zero stars or a negative, I would.
After paying top dollar for 2 day delivery on a Tuesday, it's new Friday and by the looks of things it's coming next Monday. 7 day shipping for 14.99, what a bargain! If I could rate them negative 5 stars I would.
