I have been buying car parts for both of my vehicles for over 5 years. Never had a problem with any. Fact is I had to have n intake manifold and gasket replaced on my 2005 Ford crown vic. Repair shop got that part at AutoZone. Had the exact same part number that rock auto had for that intake. I will continue to get my parts from rock when I work on my cars.
Do not buy parts from rock auto you will not get them. They do not have any customer service at all. It will be hell to get your parts or a refund from this company.

They want money or border services come to arrest you. This happens with every order from rock auto, is our personal information being sold to scammers? Every order is followed by phone calls, this is happening to others in small community in canadian rockies. Few old people order parts, everyone gets a call a few days later. I recently ordered two cans specialty fluid for my trucks package was soaked when it was left on my driveway so I knew at least one can it opened I just now looked since he refused to pick it up try to put the other kin in I'm a cat fell off what a piece of crap so a large-bore can just dumped out on top of my gas cap and of course that didn't work well got 3/4 but when it's the yard. They refuse to answer their 1-800 number they should be shut down. And my view if you won't answer your phone you're criminals

I had ordered brake drums for my 97 E250 van over a year ago but only realized they were for an F250 Pickup when I was ready to do my brake job just recently. Due to the fact that the order was over a year old and I didn't catch it, I'm stuck with an expensive item that I can't use. The same error that says these are for my 1997 E250 is still on their website. It is also listed on my invoice that the drums are for a 1997 E250 van.
My idle air control valve was defective. I filled out their form and and it says "non-returnable" which is fine, but most places offer a new part instead. Nope. They essentially locked me out of that whole part of their website. There is absolutely NOBODY to call or email. I found corporate, called them. But, imagine that! There are no receptionists available to take the call. This website is a scam 100% and I don't know how they've made it this far. My part has a warranty, but I can't even claim it. They literally f*cked me. I hate to sound rude but they did. I have no vehicle now, do not give these guys any business.
You order two parts and they make it two different shipments from two different locations. You return the two parts to one of the locations. Then they charge you shipping for one of the parts to be sent to one of their other locations.
I ordered a break KIT from them. They sent rotors that were wrong in the kit. (mistakes happen) So I wanted to return the kit. They would not let me. They excepted that the rotors were wrong but wanted to charge me for retuning the pads and clips. I want a KIT! Not individual parts. And now, when I do get new rotors, what if the pads don't fit? BTW, they don't take phone calls to fix any problems like this so be prepared to spend hours writing in detail why you need to return the items. Followed by them saying no or covering half. ONLY low-level companies operate like this. Time is money, save your time and use a better company with a little service.
I got the wrong part they sent the money back to the wrong bank account that's been closed forever and now they can't do nothing about it they said just contact your bank and let them figure it out won't be buying nothing from these people again
I ordered lower control arm bushings for my 2000 chevy blazer. I ordered AC Delco Professional bushings and got parts that did not fit and were fake. (Of the 4 AC DELCO bushings, 2 did not have any script or part numbers and the other 2 says HARRIS on them!)
And the return process is a joke. Never again!

I've ordered plenty from here had no issues not I've had nothing but issues I needed a new o2 upstream sensor they put alot that would fit my car bought one guess what way too short couldn't even use it returned it had to buy another one they said would fit my car get it again not the right one didn't have the protection cup on it like it should so again had to return and buy another one that I'm still waiting on! It's ridiculous then you have to pay for shipping even though it's their fault they put that it would fit my car when clearly it wouldn't. Still waiting on my refunds. Ridiculous and just a headache to deal with. After I get this part I'm never using this site again.
Paid a large amount of money for overnight shipping. 2 days later still no package. No phone number to call and personally speak to Customer Service. Only an email (that should be a HUGE red flag to anyone). When I sent an email, 36 hours later I finally get a response pointing me to a link on their website saying they aren't responsible for shipping delays. No follow-up on my package ETA, no help whatsoever. They don't care for their customers. If you are needing parts at a specific time, do not order from this company. You will not get it when they say you will. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. TRUST ME, AVOID ROCKAUTO.COM LIKE THE PLAGUE. Wish I could give them ZERO stars.
Rock Auto has saved me hundreds of dollars compared to local parts stores. No issues with parts geek either, ignore the reviews
First of all, there is no customer service number to call to ask questions about your order.
Second of all, I paid extra for my part to delivered quicker than standard mail. Checked the tracking this morning and said I won't receive my package until later this week. Because of these people, I have to take more time off of work to wait for this damn piece.
Lastly, to the rude lady who works as the receptionist at HQ is beyond rude. I wanted to speak to someone higher and told me no and then hung up. Order your car parts somewhere else! Somewhere more reliable!
Most of their products are reasonably good quality, with a few poor items(e.g. Gas fill tube with hose for my 1992 Ford van; the rubber cracked after a little more than one year).
Also, tried returning some Mevotech lower arms for my 2006 Subaru, and could only get a replacement, which I did not want.
However, the biggest problem is their site does NOT have a review section for bought items(as Amazon does), which is a real hindrance to getting rid of poor quality items they carry,. I believe it would be in their best interests to have a review section.
I have used rock auto for years. Lately however I am not impressed. I bought a strut through them. Lasted three months and broke. I didn't return it due to that requiring my car to be down while I waited. So I drove it til I could buy another strut. Then my avcs solenoid went. I bought a replacement but didn't have time to install it for a while. Finally when I did it was bad. So I ordered another and that one went bad after a few weeks. So I bought one from auto one and it's working fine. Now I replaced my power steering pump due to leaks and the new pump is junk. So if you want quality look elsewhere. They used to be great but now they aren't worth the time. I will be attempting to get my money back ASAP. Thankfully the one for my sisters car was ok..
