Damaged Brake Pads
November 5, 2021

Brake pads and clips were loose inside Raybestos box. The Raybestos box was damaged but was inside a larger undamaged box with air filters. The brake pads were chipped and spalled on several corners. The Raybestos box was taped but was likely a return item with loose pads inside. I will probably use the pads because I don't have time to wait for replacements.

Rock Auto has absolutely no method of obtaining customer feedback (no email, no phone etc.) so I'm venting here. I am finished with Rock Auto because they refuse to allow customers to communicate with them.

After seeing their ad a hundred times, I finally give them a chance. But when a simple search for auto fuses failed to yield ANY results I wrote them off. (Yes, my search terms referenced year make model etc. but that didn't help.) On top of that, there was no way to contact them; only a recommendation to review FAQ which I had already done … not even a chat option! Don't waste your time with this site.

Not what they used to be
November 5, 2021

Ordered in the past with good results, good prices. Now they've gone straight down the drain. Only customer "service" is on website and if you make a mistake there, you're screwed. No phone, no chat, no email. Last Twittter post looks to be about 18 months ago.

God help you if you have any problems with any thing there is no customer service call there phone number: *******376 or 1-866-7625-2886 and see what you are in for you will get a have a bad day goodby. I will never ever use them again the 70.00 bucks I lost is now just a reminder to never do it again

AVOID ROCKAUTO

If you like having issues with the products you order and do not like customer service, then this is the site for you! They suck! If you have an issue they point you at the manufacture, which in turns tells you to contact rock auto. Meanwhile you are screwed.

So, I ordered parts from rockauto and they arrived very quickly. I was worried that dispite my best efforts they would be wrong. Nope they weren't. Quick struts fit great. It was a pain to get the old ones out. But that has nothing to do with Rock Auto. They got me the right parts quick and cheap.

I recently purchased a Brake Pad and Rotor kit from RockAuto paying a total of $328.63. Once it arrived, it did not fit my vehicle. RockAuto has a sneaky way of not pointing out directly whether the part fits your car or not. They listed the trim level in the same font and writing as all of the other information so it does not stand out. Other major part sellers such as AutoZone, O'Reilly's, and even Amazon all directly tell you in big, bold, colored lettering that "this does / does not fit your vehicle." They will flat out tell you so you can be sure you're purchasing the correct items the first time. RockAuto does not.
When my parts finally arrived, RockAuto shipped them in 2 separate boxes. However, when I attempted to return the unusable order, they only provided me with 1 discounted shipping label. The second box of products cost me $71.08 to ship back! RockAuto did not have any other options nor was there anyone I could call in order to get some help. I understand RockAuto does not set the shipping rates for other companies but how can they only provide 1 discounted shipping label when they sent me 2 boxes of products? Now I am out $71.08 on top of the discounted shipping label they take away from my refund. I will not be doing business with RockAuto again. Buyer Beware! You are truly on your own if you buy from them.

This place sucks! I paid overnight shipping and got it 3-4 days later $120 later just in shipping costs which they won't refund even though FedEx said they could get the refund through them if they have to. These people are ridiculous. Can't contact anyone to talk to you have to email with morons. This is why they don't have a phone number they would be cursed out every minute of the day because that's what I want to do! Their website doesn't work properly either. They are a scam and I hope they lose business for what they do to people, taking their money. Not a customer anymore! I don't even want to rate this company. They don't deserve a star.

Overnight delivery

I ordered a part early on a Wednesday and paid an extra $ 50.00 for overnight delivery and it's now Monday and still no part, there's no number to call customer service either, never again would I order anything from them!

Headliner does not fit. No refund

Ordered a headliner for my Ford F150. Not even close to a fit. It was a restoration so went to put in after 30 days and it was way off but no refund for the wrong part even it is misrepresented if you go past 30 days. Byer beware!

Recent experience with Rock Auto and will never purchase again. Reviews are correct. Non-existent customer service or logical thinking. I ordered, and they charged me twice. First I was told the double charge was a hold on my credit card to just find out it was a double order they sent me with the exact same stuff I sent in my initial order. I reached out to get a resolution on the double charge, and the two delivers and they let me know I can return the items. WELL, one of the items could not be returned (due to the cost of it not being higher than their return on investment of shipping it back -this was fine, whatever). BUT then I get charged for shipping the items back, which they provided me with a shipping label? My refund was half of what I was charged and it WAS NOT EVEN MY FAULT. I tried again to resolve this issue, but instead I get a turnaround on their policy on returned items.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SCAMMING COMPANY. Their Return policy is not what it is layed out to me and their customer service matches that exact lack of consideration.

I paid a small fortune to have overnight shipping from RockAuto for some parts I needed to do a job on October 19th. Four of the parts still aren't here and are halfway across the country. RockAuto isn't taking any responsibility for it they keep pushing me off on FedEx FedEx refuses to refund my shipping for standard overnight and it's just a big mess I still don't have the parts to do the work and now I have to explain to a customer that I can't do their work. I'm so pissed off I'm never ordering from RockAuto again and I hope RockAuto goes out of business they can go to hell. Why should I have to wait until October 21st to file a claim when it was supposed to be overnighted and arrive on the 19th. And I paid a ton of money for it.

Rock Auto is the WORST! I put all my car information in to order a part and it came back with a two piece part, which I ordered, 1 part was not the correct part! My car was half taken apart to put the new parts in and one of the parts that they sent did not fit. I tried to call Rock auto and there is no phone number or no email address or no contact information to speak to somebody about anything! So the one part that did fit was used and I sent the other part back for either the correct part or a refund and I got an email saying that the two parts had to be returned for an exchange or a refund. If I wanted the part back that I sent back to them I had to pay $13.95 to get it back within five days or they're keeping the part!
Rock auto has absolutely no customer service to help you with anything. When you order it is just hit or miss. So anyway I wound up paying double for the one part that did fit and they got back the part that didn't fit as all profit! I will NEVER order from this company again!

Cancelled a part

Without asking would i like to replace the cancelled part they cancelled they shipped what they had in stock. When i emailed my complaint an rockauto blamed me an said if i needed the part i could get it plus shipping. Haha pay shipping again.

Below is what rockauto.com response. In my opinion they should cover 100% of the return cost because it doesn't match what their claim. Even though they simply relay what the manufacturer says. RockAuto should take ownership of putting that description on their website. Customer should not be forced to pay part of the return shipment.

"We are sorry the part doesn't fit. The manufacturer says it should fit your vehicle and we are not sure why it does not. Since we shipped the part you ordered and you ordered correctly, it doesn't look like either of us made a mistake. If you return the part, we'll refund the price you paid for the part and the core charge (if any). We'll also split the shipping cost (which neither of us can recover from the carrier)."

Never received parts

I ordered parts. They did not arrive. I sent an email. They closed out the ticket number assuming the parts arrived later. They did not. Now they will not refund my money. I'm out over $200.00. They said there is nothing they can do about it because it is over 30 days from when they were purchased but i emailed before the 30 day mark and they closed out the ticket. They won't even look any further into it. Not good business.

Paid a hundred dollars to have a package overnighted and FedEx was late, I contacted FedEx and they where willing to give me a refund but Rockauto had the invoice so had to be initiated through them, A expedited package is a guaranteed over night delivery and they told me a overnighted package is a estimate and there system cant initiate a refund, so I had FedEx refund them but they did not refund me, so be careful with these guys bc they have no customer service number
