Only 3 mistakes on my last order
Wow, I've been a member of Road runner sports since 2008. This is how my recent order went. Tried ordering online, on a iPad, but the total price was not correct. Had to call in to place an order. RRS shipped the wrong size shoe (14 versus 11.5), in the wrong color, TO THE WRONG ADDRESS. How was this even possible. I don't remember RRS ever making this many mistakes.
Website was brutally painfully to navigate (ie. Broken links, bad scripts) and the final payoff: my gift card was rejected. Had to call, wait, wait, wait, wait, then discuss, and discuss, then send images, then wait, and wait, and ultimately gift card was re-issued. So, more waiting, and possibly again for nothing. How does this company still exist?
They put a hidden clause for their VIP membership. I emailed twice and never received an answer. I called and waited on the phone for 20 minutes they they cut me off. I made another phone call and finally got a person. I cancelled my membership and I will never buy any shoes from them again!
I know what shoes I like (Asics) and I will order them directly from Asics from now on.
I received a pair of shorts as a gift and went to the store to exchange for a different color. Same shorts. Same size. Just a different color. Because I didn't have a gift receipt I couldn't even exchange for a different color even though it was an even exchange. Spent 20 minutes on the phone and 20 minutes at the store and still no success. I'm not asking for money or store credit. Same shorts. Same size. Tags still attached. Not worn. Different color. How hard is that?
Ordered a IN STOCK shoe and got an email conformation. Three weeks later, no shoes or communications. Call them to find out they canceled the order because the shoe was out of stock.

One of the WORST online ordering experiences I've ever had. Several days later, my shoes haven't shipped, and their customer service doesn't answer their phone or emails on the weekend,. When I contacted customer service Monday morning, I was told it would be a few more days before my shoes would ship because they have to come from the manufacturer - when I asked to cancel, I was told SORRY, can't do that, "it's out of our control". When I asked to speak to a manager, they left, came back & told me SORRY, the manager is "too busy", you can leave a message.
I ordered adrenaline 20 to wear for work. I bought them before covid19 so I did not get a chance to wear them till June 1st. I soon found out that I could not wear these shoes without causing pain to my achellies. I hav3 worn brooks for years with no problem. I did not know that brooks had changed the design. I contacted roadrunner sports and told I could not get a refund. I will never buy from them or brooks again. Very poor customer service.
Absolutely Terrible.
I placed an order for more than $300 from Road Runner Sports in large part because they emphasized their customer service. After getting an email two weeks ago that the order has shipped, it has still not arrived. I paid extra for a VIP membership because it would include a 25% coupon. I read the terms carefully and my item was not excluded from this promotion. However, after placing the order, the 25% was not applied.
It was extremely difficult to get a response from them when I reported the problems I was having. It took almost a week to get a generic email. Eventually I was told the only way I can get a refund is if I refuse the order when it arrives. This means I would need to stay home to wait for the package, and assume it will get back to them and processed in a reasonable amount of time. However, there is no evidence this package even exists or was ever sent out! I'm now going to have to enter a dispute claim with my credit card company to resolve this. Please avoid this company even if you think you will get a discount, its not worth it!
Bought a pair, tried them on, and immediately returned them. The supervisor said there was "wear on the tread" and offered in store credit only. Scam! Do not buy from this company.
They are sooo bad! I made a order on Feb 16. They told me it was shipped on Feb17, but it was not! I emailed them and asked about it. They told me it was not shipped and asked me if I wanted a refund or wanted them to process a new order. I required a refund. Then they started to blame on FEDEX and refused to process a refund. They just shipped a new order on Feb 27 without asking for my approval! I am sooooo disappoined that they offered a refund first and then refused to process it. Never get anything from them! They are so unreliable!
A talented young lady who cares about her customers takes her time and listens to her customer's needs. Aaliyah knows her product, and I will be back at the North Brunswick Store.

On Sept 25th Road Runner Sports Inc have charged $39.99 my Amex WITHOUT my authorization. I never signed up nor agreed for VIP yearly fee, I never authorized to use my credit card. My one and only order with this store was on April 9th. All my email & phone calls to this retailer have been ignored. Also the company owner Michael Gotfredson does not reply to my emails. I request full REFUND to AMEX ASAP for $39.99.
FYI, there are over 112 complaints against Road Runner Sports Inc in Better Business Bureau regarding the same issue. Road Runner Sports Inc uses their client credit cards without authorizations.

Worst company I've dealt with in a while. I ordered shoes with plenty of time for my daughters bday. They said available and ready to ship with an ETa. I checked the day prior to this ETA to find order is still processing. When I called, they said oh those are in back order but will ship and arrive on time still. The new shipping date came and chine and turns out, they just cancelled my order. I told them they still show available and ready to ship after them telling me they're back ordered. A couple day's later they still showed they had them so I ordered them again with rush shipping. They said they'd arrive on time. This time they just cancelled my order without explanation and never reviewed. Terrible company that is knowingly falsely advertising available product and ship time. I informed them that it still shows online as available and that if it continues to show this I will reorder and contact bbb. They constantly sent the same generic email, EVERY SINGLE TIME & never answered any questions or prove feedback. I called multiple times and told the same thing, they'll call the warehouse and get back to me-then they'd never get back to me and the emails always said someone already helped me. I took photos of them saying they're out of stock and then the product showing ready and available to ship. I also have photos of emails telling them to change it and it showing avail a few days later-when i reordered! I learned quickly to stick with reputable companies!
Ordered a, new to me, brand of shoe from RRS. They arrived 14th of January 2021. As an avid runner, it doesnt take much to know if a shoe works... so I put them on for 24 minutes, on my treadmill. My feet ached. I immediately boxed them up and returned them the 19th, MLK day was the 18th, so no mail or it would have been a day sooner. After 2 weeks, no refund and no response... I contacted them. I was told these were being returned to me because they were used. $129.95 Hoka Clifton shoes, in my possession 5 days and worn 24 minutes... used. They offered an exchange if I paid for a membership. No refund and paid exchange. I have yet to get my "return to me tracking". Order directly from the shoe brand! Hoka has already agreed to take these shoes back. There are too many businesses trying to exploit customers... dont allow this one to. Most good shoe brands offer 3 month returns on truly worn shoes... so skip this really bad middle man! There is no actual unused shoe... the representative I talked to on the phone said lint from the air or a small hair all can flag used by their return department. It's a scam
BEWARE if you order from them 6 months later they will charge your card $39.99 for a billing agreement that you never agreed to. TOTAL SCAM
I have been a Road Runner Sports customer since the early 2000s. For many of those years I was very happy with the service. I made purchases, tried my shoes out, kept what worked, returned what didn't. I constantly mad purchases so I did not bother with "exchanges" since this took much too long to accomplish as compared to simply returning shoes/clothes and making other purchases. I have spent thousands of dollars.
When I made a return in the past, the credit went on to the credit card I used to make my purchase.
Unbeknownst to me, sometime in the last year or possibly two, the return credits started being put into an "online credit bank" which was NOT visible on my account online, and which did not go on to my credit card, and about which i did NOT receive an email. So when I made purchases online, as I do, I was not given the choice to use these return credits I knew nothing about (and which I assumed had gone on to my credit cards). Apparently, the only way I could use the return credits would be to make my purchases via the phone, AND for the person helping me on the other end to let me know I had credits to use. I make my purchases online 99% of the time. I now have over $500 in credits in what I am told is a "merchandise e gift card."
I recently received two emails informing me of these e merchandise credits I have, and about chic I had no idea. I called to ask which returns went into these credits and to complain about the returns not going on the original card as they had been in the past.
No apology was made for these credits being locked in cyberspace. No reason given for why even my unused items were put into these cyberspace credits.
When I looked online for the breakdown of my returns, the website no longer shows you which parts of your order were returned. When I asked for a breakdown of the returns to be emailed to me, I was originally told "NO. My supervisor says I am not allowed to do this." Even though the representative helping me could see which things had been returned for a credit, her supervisor told her she was not to give me the breakdown.
I had to speak to the supervisor Sylvester Jackson (who had a very rude attitude and kept speaking over me) myself to get the breakdown emailed to me. Since then Sylvester called me and left me a message stating the returns were purged from the system and could not be given to me. So sorry and was there anything else at all he could do, don; t hesitate to ask.
So I called customer service again. I asked for a run down of all my returns and got a list which I wrote down myself going back to 2014. So much for the purge. Sylvester the supervisor is either lazy and a liar or simply just a liar.
I will use my credits and b]never shop at Road runner again.
