I won a doorbell in a raffle and the security screws were not included in the box. I contacted Ring and was informed that they would not give me any because I did not personally purchase the doorbell! I was told I had to buy them. Unbelievable- it is the worst customer service I have ever dealt with!

I received a "blink" doorbell for Christmas (Canada) and the blink doorbell came with a free one month trial. I liked the service very much as they provided a video, motion and viewing people that are at your door and ring the doorbell. Once my trial was over, I signed up to blink and linked the account to my amazon account and paid for $50.00 Canadian for one year. The doorbell worked immediately. The next morning, I was receiving several emails from "ring" telling me to register my account. I thought that because "ring" looks similar to Blink in that is shows the blue colour on their company name to Blink, I registered, and gave my email to the company "Ring". This deleted my account from "Blink" and I was receiving emails from "Ring" telling me that someone was in my account. This is disgusting that a company like "Ring" would hijack my existing account with "Bink". I had to contact "Blink" and the CSR had to cancel my account and reinstall it in order for it to work again. People, if a company like "Ring" is going to be that shady, that would do something like that to get people to sign up to their company, I would say never use them and delete them right away. I actually had to go on to the "Ring" website, sign in with my already made password that I created (thinking that it was Blink) to delete my account. The sad thing is that it will take 30 days to have my account deleted. I better not get charged as Blink was linked up to my Amazon account. BEWARE PEOPLE! In addition, I gave the rating of one star for "Ring" as there was not a an option for 0 stars or negative stars.

I spoke with an agent the other day who literally cannot communicate nor express himself. I called about a fairly simple question about charging a Gen 2 Doorbell. I even tried talking to him in his native language just to get thru. Even with that he had difficulty responding in English. They should not employ agents who cannot communicate. It's obvious they are not screening nor training their agents. Wake up Amazon!

They do not stand behind their product. My ring doesn't work I spent hours on customer service and I told them I want them to replace it cause it's a problem with product. They told me cause it was to cold outside that's why it won't work. Then they gave me a code for a discount to replace it for $65 but of course that code did not work. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!
They told me my door hell to old to replace and I did It still didn't work so they said your house is old it's the transformer for my doorbell needed to be replaced. I had to hire someone to change that but that wasn't the problem. It was the ring doorbell that didn't work. But they wouldn't replace it. Only 1 year guarantee. And that's about how long it worked before I had problems. It's hard wired but kept saying low battery. Total garbage and waste of my time.

The app just gets worse and worse

Thank Ring for making my life more complicated. I really appreciate all the hard work you've put into making your app the worst one available in the entire universe. Not only do you not allow me to see Live View at least half of the time, but you continually reset my camera settings back to "motion alerts" which makes my phone ring every time anyone moves! How glorious that we get audible verification of our every movement. I can't wait to know when I take a step outside! YOUR APP IS UNBELIEVABLY BAD! It's time to sell my cameras and go back to a CCTV system that works.

Ring app will not fully download and customer service unable to resolve. Their response, "We're working on a fix." It's been weeks and no follow-up as promised. (Originally promised 24-48 hours)

Long story short, I used to love Ring products and services, but they no longer seem to care. I own multiple cameras, and I am, for now, stuck with them

Advise: Research alternatives if you are considering. Ring is terrible from a customer support perspective.

I have a ring doorbell with solar battery. The battery stopped working and ring operator told me they'd replace it at no charge. That was in Sept 2022. In Oct 2022 I had not received it and called to check on the order; I was told it is out of stock and would ship in two weeks. Today is 11 January 2023; I called and was told it is still out of stock. I told them Amazon has had it throughout this period. No further info from them. I will stay out of Ring products.

I have neve known a company that is so inept at renewing a subscription. Mine had renewed annually without incident for years until my card expired.
The new card was entered on the system but the system would not accept payment.
Every week I called and every week it failed to renew, followed by a week's free subscription during which time they would call to renew. They never did. Eventually, after several weeks of ringing every week, someone managed to take the payment. But the subscription did not renew. I emailed them to tell them this and the next day they cancelled my subscription and refunded most but not all of the money that I paid. Now I need to go through the whole process again.

There are 5 million goggle responses to every request, but 99% are sales related and none are for this particular device. Every so-called help Link for doorbell cams leads you back to the same crap which is one or two canned answers that DO NOT pertain to the question at hand. Much less than a mile wide and an inch deep, they are and inch wide and as deep as a piece of paper. The doorbell can't find the WiFi, and the software tells me my device (Android) doesn't have Internet connection. I have 2.4G & 50G boosters within 6 feet, and I get to Goggle Play on the cell phone, so the problem is not at this end. The temporary connection to the Ring network cannot be found, so the process stops cold. It connected for a whole week at a time, but dropped out and now just won't cooperate. Having problems is one thing, but the support system is the worst, even in this day and age of people that don't speak real English on a help line, or robot chat lines that have a half dozen canned answers, none of which are useful and send you through a circular rat maze of non-useful time wasting exercises. There is no support to speak of. It's as though you are the only person in the world with a problem. How likely is that? Even stupid people can read instructions, but there is almost nothing online. This is a single device with a finite number of possible problems and there should be a list of problems and solutions online BEFORE the device is sold to the public. To have nothing years after introduction speaks to the sincerity and integrity of the company. They do not deserve to be in business.

Changed my modem. In order for me to reconnect my doorbell the ONLY option is to entirely remove the doorbell from the outside of my home to locate the pin number required to reset this. Customer Service, SAM especially who claims to be a manager offered no help (for my protection) outside of that I will need to hire a handyman and pay them to assist me. What a ridiculous place to put this information. They should tell you in their product information to keep the box as this information will be required anytime you go off line. I was happy with this product until today and now I am without this protection. This SUCKA

0 STARS! DO NOT BUY RING PRODUCTS! What a disappointment is putting it mildly. I bought 4 products (doorbell, 2-floodlight cameras, stick up cam) from Ring. Paid $265, to install, to find out that one of the none of the devices worked. Spent hours on the phone with Ring to absolutely no avail. Finally told them I want my money back including cost of installation. They refused to reimburse the installation but sent 5 different return labels with no explanation which label goes with which product. Had to call again to get that information.The stick-up cams came 2 in a box and they sent 2 return labels, they cannot wrap there head around it was one purchase and told me to attach 2 shipping labels to box. I am screaming in my head and don't know where else to turn. If I want an alarm system I will call an alarm company. Unfortunately, I also have to pay to remove the products so I will probably be out $365. Just going to cut my loses.

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER

Wow! Ring now tops the charts as having the WORST customer service ever! They forgot to include an item in my order which led to a 50 min phone conversation in which I had to order a new item, which led to me receiving the wrong item because the one I wanted was supposedly back ordered so they swapped it for an incorrect item (like I wouldn't care), which meant another day of various 30+ min conversations dealing with completely clueless customer service rep just to get return labels. When I tried to re-order the item I originally wanted...first they told me they didn't sell such a thing. When I sent a them a link to it from their website, they told me it was back ordered for 6-7 weeks. I then checked Amazon and was able to order it for delivery the next day. Lesson Learned: Just order from Amazon & link your Ring Account to Amazon. Avoid ever dealing with Ring directly. OMG!

I changed my Wi-Fi service and in order to update it to use my ring doorbell camera which I've had for over a year and a half now I was told that I have to take it down and press a button on the back in order to update the Wi-Fi. That is ridiculous especially when I did not install the camera myself.

Piss poor customer service

Place and pay for order.
Call 5 days later to find out where order is to find out they have no stock for 2-3 weeks, why do they not mention this at time of order!
Call to cancel and have order refunded. No we cant do that you must create an account.
Company is a joke and staff aren't much better.

Use any other security service you can. These guys erase all your video without notifying you. Even when you pay them, they erase them all and you have to start over from the day you figure out that you have to pay. NO warning! Just gone.

I called ring for an issue with my Ring doorbell not ringing on my phone and don't think I've ever talk to more ignorant people in my life. I was on the phone an hour and put on hold 10 times and they didn't have a clue. They promised a call back and never did. I googled and fixed it in 2 minutes.

What a nightmare!

My wife called Ring to cancel our service.
The customer service representative told my wife that she had to go through the process
One hour later we our still trying to cancel.
Finally I told them to just cancel and no longer needed. Never ever will we use ring
