Returned Ring & Chime.
This thing doesn't work. Won't stay connected to chime, if you can ever get the chime to work in the first place. I'm ripping it out.
Bought a Ring device for my daughter's condo. Worked for 1 day. She's been talking with support center for over one month. Want to return
Buy a Ring product you will learn all the excuse there is, in the book. Poor product just regret that I invest so much for so little.
So when I first got the ring it was good for the most part it had a five second lag which was tolerable for the most part
After little while the house chime stopped working so I contacted customer service for help they talk to you like they are geniuses and you know nothing youre a moron
In the end they told me keep your ion it and keep your foot on it keep your finger on it but in the end keeping my whole body on it was not returning the house try am back to life after intensive checking weve determined that the ring device is faulty so I went to Home Depot and I purchased a Nother one and I installed it and Wala the ring works
End the original house chime also works without me putting my eye on my finger my toe or any other parts of my body So needless to say the morons at the customer service of the ring have no clue what theyre talking about and we need treat you like one you need to dish it back to them

Door bell stopped working and people could not hear me speak. Now it will not give me my events or recorded videos.
This is an email i had written to hopefully send to the complaints department before finding out the department does not exist!
Good morning,
I recently contacted your support service via chat to try and resolve an issue I was having with the "Ring Doorbell" /App.
The issue was a communication problem when trying to speak with a person at my door. This was quite annoying as I was unable to understand what they were saying and they could not understand me. I tested the wi-fi and tried to reset and check all the settings not forgetting to charge the battery to full capacity. The problem remained, so I decided to uninstall the App from my Samsung Note 8. I then went to the Google App store to where I tried to download the "Ring" application. This was not possible as a prompt was displayed "Your device isn't compatible with this version". I had numerous attempts at doing this with no success and decided to contact Ring support.
After making contact with a support adviser via chat, I was told that my mobile device was no longer supported due to the Ring App being a later version. My phone is on Android Version 8.0 and no further updates were available. This would seem my Ring doorbell would no longer be fit for purpose unless I was to purchase a new mobile phone. I found this very upsetting as I would need to spend several hundred pounds on a new phone to enable the doorbell to work. No further support could be offered to resolve my issue.
I browsed Google for several hours in hope I would find an earlier version of the app which I had previously installed. I managed to download an earlier version of the app from another website, I can confirm my Doorbell issues have all been resolved.
I find this extremely frustrating that the Ring support adviser could not offer me this solution and no other support was offered to help with my problem. I will not be buying any more products related to "Ring" in the future as I am appalled with the service and support which I received.
By the far the most useless doorbell system and the most useless customer service who 3 weeks later have still not come back to me and this ring is owned by the so called good customer service company AMAZON.
DO NOT BUY THIS RING DOORBELL AND HERES WHY:
Huge delay many times when the doorbell is pressed to the alert coming on your phone and even to the plugged in ring chime. Sometimes there is no alert at all! Please do not say that it may be the router and connection because i have high speed internet with the router 3 meters away.
Sometimes by the time you go on the app when you click on the alert on your phone straight away it takes ages opening the app and by the time you open it, the person has gone!
The quality of the camera is extremely poor and the sound is also poor.
The cheap screw system has already snapped because the screw got stuck and had to almost yank it out. Basically a £1 doorbell would have done a far greater job than this extremely poor piece of junk.
Also I sent countless number of emails to customer service and not a single email was responded to.
I have three stick up cameras and a doorbell ring. Everything worked up till last Thursday when the doorbell and the stick up camera stopped working. I spent over four hours doing everything possible with Technical Support at Ring with no resolve. So they said they were going to send me an extender for the chime. Then yesterday the other two cameras went down for no reason. I did another 3 hour phone call with Technical Support was sent to somebody with advance technology who told me basically that my Internet was not right and that I probably should contact them. In the meantime, I canceled the Ring subscription plan because this has been happening too much. I have many other items and cameras attached to my Internet but I decided to give my Internet provider a call early today. When I contacted them, they told me that everything was working fine and we even shut off the router and restarted it again and everything was fine except for the Ring equipment. I spent a lot of money over the last couple years. Getting these cameras and my doorbell now is completely corrupt and I have to have electrician come and fix it.
Over the last two days I have spent a total of six hours. I will never get back to find out that it's their problem and their server and has nothing to do with my Wi-Fi. So basically, now I have four paperweights. This morning I also spent another 2 1/2 hours talking to someone who troubleshoot it with me, which I've done five times and then finally gave me to the supervisor who is going to be sending me some more paper weights. Guess what we're not gonna have any cameras with Ring anymore.
I'm very disappointed at the customer service, because I was one of their very first clients way back when it started. So if anyone wants to buy three paper weights and a doorbell, let me know, but I would never recommend this company.
It acting slow and freeze all the time when you need to see what is going on... totally disappointed
Really sucks. Can't just call there is an actual waiting time. Really bad bad service. So no security with the system.

I have problems with only My front camera I have reached out to them numerous times. They never respond. Terrible service
In general, my ring products give me the video coverage i want. However, i have several issues:
1) i've had to return two ring spotlight cam wired devices due some sort of issue where the video picture turned pink and blurry. In general, customer support responded and took care of it, but it wasn't without me putting in the time and patience to go through their process.
2) despite stable 100Mbps service, i have little-to-no success answering a motion alert or doorbell ring... it spins and says trouble connecting almost every time. I can go in later (sometimes as little as 15 seconds; other times it may require waiting a few minutes) and I can get a live view.
What i do get: I consistently get a ring thru the inside manual bell when someone rings the doorbell (normal doorbell functionality in tact). I usually get a timely notification on my phone whether I'm inside the house or away over 4G.
What i don't get: using the product to check who's at my door before answering it? Rarely. By the time i am able to pull up a live view, they have given up and walked away. Hoping to answer the door thru the app and talk to the visitor (or trespasser)? Maybe twice i've some success with this feature, although even if I get connected before they walk away, the audio quality and delays are pretty bad. Again, this is with 100Mbps speeds and VERY close proximity from doorbell to router.
Lastly: a key weakness: if your internet goes out, so too does your video. This is an obvious one but something not to forget. It would be great if there could be an option to have some way to plug in a hard drive and get local recording if internet is out.
What a piece of junk. Stops working every week.
Calling CS is a waste of time.
Don't Buy this product
Ring is the worst of all security systems. The app does not work correctly. The cameras are always having issues!
Bought a spot light cam an extra battery and a solar pannel. The batteries still dont stay charged. A waste of over $300.
I used to have Arlo Home video cameras. I didn't have a plan but I could still review my videos if the alarm went off. A friend told me that Ring was much better you could talk to people and they were more clear so I purchased a set off of QVC. Nowhere on there did they say that you had to have a plan to see your videos. Once I got them here and installed them I had I had a temporary time when I could see my videos. After that I had to pay $100 for one year plan to be able to view my alarm videos. Today all three of them went off-line again so I called Ring because I could not get them back online. Their customer service guy spoke very poor English and I could not understand what he was all telling me so I had to keep saying slow down, I can't understand you. The cameras are mounted outside up on the roof and they wanted me to go outside and reset all the cameras. I am disabled and not allowed to climb ladders so until someone comes my cameras won't work because you have to take the batteries off and push this little button to get them back online. I'm really disappointed in the night quality of these camera too. They are constantly even with the sensitivities set way down sending me alarms for trees blowing in the wind. I am not happy about having to pay a ransom to see my videos of $100 a year and it's very hard to get and keep them online.
I wish I would've researched more before I bought them but I had a ring doorbell so I thought the ring cameras would be good. I should've known because I never had anything but problems with keeping the ring doorbell online. If you're considering buying these cameras really research and know that you will be paying every year $100 to be able to see what your camera is videotaping and that their customer service is not all that it should be cracked up to be. Personally I wish I would've never bought them.
Answer: Most annoying product ever. Doesn't work but almost does. This makes you constantly fool with it thinking you maybe possibly actually got it to do something similar to what they advertise. But in the end you will be back to square one with a pricey piece of crap! Then after hrs of listening to customer services b. S. you realize you've been had. But it doesn't end there. You end up on sites like this trying to help others from making the same mistake. And trying to figure out when this hell will end!
Answer: It does not work the way it is presented on T. V. The inability to immediately respond "LIVE" to an event renders it useless.
Ring has a rating of 1.3 stars from 773 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Ring most frequently mention customer service, door bell and live view. Ring ranks 166th among Home Security sites.
