I have 3 ring cameras installed and been on their protection program for over 2 years. Recently I have not been able to access my video recordings. I called and was informed that my recordings are no longer viewable because my card payment on file had updated and now has a new exp. Date(same number, same account) so now I have spent 49 minutes on the phone to remedy. HERE IS THE THE KICK IN THE FACE. All the recordings that were recorded during this little gap(and still show on my event list) will now be deleted (without us being able to see them, those during the gap and all of our prior history) What kind of service is that? I will be moving on from ring. At a minimum they should at least give you an email prior to the current expiration to allow you to double check and confirm your payment data. Kind of makes sense to me. Or maybe they are afraid that if you get the email, you might just say, I am so over this lame product! That's my guess! I have had so many issues over the years that I get a delivery and the notification recording only shows a vehicle pulling away.

If I would have known how unprofessional and waste of time the support from ring doorbells is, I wouldn't have have purchased it in the first place. They refuse to send me the new solar panel.

Horrible company I am so upset that I have bought anything from them I have paid for the ring protect program and went to Cameras went out it took five hours and multiple calls to finally get someone to verify that my ring protect program was in fact in good status I was told I would have the cameras within two days it is now five days later and I have spent five hours with multiple supposed supervisors telling me that they would be sending out cameras yet they provide no tracking number no information and every day I find out that they lie repeatedly and the cameras still have not been sent this is a horrible company with horrible customer service when I asked a supervisor by the name of Luis who can I speak to to expedite this I am frustrated and disgusted he told me that there was nothing can be done and they'll get to the order when they can this is unacceptable I would think twice before ever doing business with this company
Wish I seen the reviews online. Installed the ring doorbell 2 it's its completely useless. By the time it's started to record anything hell has frozen over.
I received a Ring doorbell as a gift... the wired model. I installed it exactly as the directions said. It worked for about 5 minutes, then quit. I determined the transformer was burned out. Bought another transformer and re-did the installation. The doorbell burned out the second transformer as well. I called customer service. Getting through to customer service is another hassle I won't even get into. The person I spoke to has such a heavy accent, both my wife and I had a hard time understanding them. After I asked them to repeat something for the third time, they hung up on me. I called again and got a different person. They still had an accent but not as bad. I explained the problem with two transformers burning out. Customer service said "that can't happen." There are many, many reviews saying it happens all the time. The rep questioned every step of my installation. She even had me send photographs of the connections I had made. Finally she said there is a resistor in the doorbell that will reset in 24 hours and everything will work perfectly. What a load of crap! I've installed numerous doorbells and I know there is no resistor. I uninstalled the doorbell and the person who gave it to me was able to return it for credit. After this experience, I will never buy or recommend any Ring product.
RING camera tells me that there is a technological issue that they CANT fix, but won't refund money. I have gotten the run around for months-they are still "investigating" what trash, waste of money

Trying to get a technical issue resolved was a NIGHTMARE! I had to switch internet providers for the house. This, of course, affects my ability to use RING. Was unsuccessful in resetting up new internet with RING. I tried to go back to the old internet to use RING. Unsuccessful! Again! Tried to call the 1-800 number, they stated the email address was encrypted and I HAD to have used a business e mail. IMPOSSIBLE. I don't have a business! The lady (from the Philippines, by the way) stated to me that I have reached the highest escalation and there's something that is wrong on my end. I stated there is something wrong on your end and either send me out another ring or get my money back. She insisted that it was an issue on my end, and there was nothing I could do as she was the highest escalation. My issue is still on resolved, and they are taking money out of my account! This is the company from hell.! When you have a technical issue with your ring service, and sooner or later, you will, good luck, trying to get help! An absolute nightmare!
I bought this product to protect myself from a neighbor to catch her trespassing and threatening me on my property to use in court. I pay for the cloud service monthly. The video I wanted to use in court worked the day before my court date. During court the video would not play. It stated, "OOP's something is wrong with your account." I called Ring customer service and was told someone would get back to me within 24hrs. Yes, they are nice, but do not have a clue on how to solve problems or get back to you as promissed. I did receive a email asking the date & time of the video I wanted to retrieve, which I already gave the information on the phone. I replied by email. But 4 days later... NO RESULTS!
If the video is saved on the Ring iCloud, which I pay for monthly, I don't understand why they can not retrieve it.
When I called customer service again 4 days later, I got the same information. I was told, level 2 tech department would be working on the problem. NO RESULTS!
Do not waste your money on this product. I'm sure you can find something else which is much reliable. I had to give it one star, the product its not the issue, it is the customer service that stinks!
We purchased a second generation ring door bell off Amazon. Upon installing the ring doorbell the existing door bell now fails to work, called ring and after over an hour of being on the phone because they are understaffed the gentleman took my name and number for a supervisor to call me back. We the supervisor called back I had to take the ring door bell off and try to reset it with him on the phone, since that did not correct the problem they sent me the electronic backing plate to see if that would correct the problem which it did not. Now e-mailed Ring and they do not respond so I suppose I will be on the phone for another hour to try and get this resolved. And I am sure that I will have to remove the Ring doorbell again requiring more wasted time. They stated that it is easy to install and adaptable to an existing door bell system but don't believe what manufactures state about the product and customer service is the moral or the story. At this time my opinion of Ring is that everything about this company sucks. Maybe its because Jeff Bezos the owner of Amazon owns the company now.

I brought ring battery and solar panel from Ring Website. I paid in US DOLLAR, but they return it to me in CAD DOLLAR!
I phoned ring customer 4 times but I still didnt get return label yet. Every agent said " I will send it to you 24-48 hours" but after 5 days, NOTHING in my mailbox. Ring Team used this way to stop me to return the product.

It started great but after a year it started to fail. Now it does not connect at all. I have the separate door bell and the door camera and none work. Do not buy.
Easy to install camera but never works, shaky camera, not smooth video when it even works. Isn't accurate and has to be rebooted daily. Waste of money.
Website user experience is about a stupid as one can get. How do you design such stupidity? Credit cards are not displayed in a list. There is no way of traversing a list of credit cards to find out which one to delete. User has to delete cards until the card that is having a fault is displayed. My card was a fraud victim and I needed to change to another number but, stupidity prevails in support design. Also, once I've figured out that I had to delete all cards until I was able to add a primary credit card to bill, there wasn't any click action to pay my subscription. Really guys? I'm trying to give you money and nobody in your company (support chat) can answer that simple question? And on top of it, be rude and cut my message session with out addressing any of my issues. How do you stay in business? I trusted your ability to produce a quality product. Two cameras stopped working on top of my billing issues. But, your stupidity in support is pushing back on electrical problems but, the funny thing about that is I bought your solar panel power units for each camera and now there not charging. Did for awhile but, stop. I spent nearly $2k on trust that Ring was a good product. I was wrong.

As you watch the TV commercial with Shaq - Ring sounds like the perfect solution to answering your doorbell or watch shady people walk by your house. IT DOESNT WORK LIKE THE TV COMMERCIAL! By the time it gets to my iPhone it's TOO LATE. There GONE!
I purchased the solar version camera. It doesn't keep a charge. I live in Denver (300 days of sunshine) and the customer service rep on the phone tells me there are too many activities. People walking by etc. So, the battery dies and I was told by the rep that I need to reset the camera and recharge the battery.
Real simple - the real-time that is portrayed in the TV commercial and what happens in the real world is 180 degrees opposite and what you see in the TV commercial! By the time the message gets to your iphone Shaq has stolen your TV. Too bad this sounded like a great product.

I have owned a ring doorbell since June 2018. Right away the promotion came on my app to refer a friend or neighbor and you both get $10 ring credit. I referred over 20 friends, co-workers and neighbors trying to get credits to buy the floodlight for my elderly mother. My credits got up to $140 then magically stopped. I have called customer support over and over trying to get the issue resolved. They keep telling me the same line. "It takes 24 to 48 hrs for credits to show up". Well I've waited the 48hrs and still my credits nor my friends credits have ever shown up. I've called them back only to be told either the person didn't complete the registration, they don't see the person or they see the person but they no longer give back dated credits. I am totally frustrated with RING. Like another customer said, it takes a lot of effort to convince people to download this app onto their phones in the first place and then to be made a lie of about the credit (that they never get) is just to much. I can't believe Shauq endorsed this product. About the actual doorbell. It works sometimes for motion sensing but it never works when a real person rings it. I wont buy another one of these.

HOLD TIME is horrible, hours and no one comes on from tech support. This is a good indicator that the product is a problem. Purchased a refurbished camera and NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS. They blame the internet and that is the least of the problems. False promises of support. Once they get you to purchase the item and they have heir money they could care less. BEWARE, BEWARE of the false stories, the camera has to work to protect you.
Now when I try to look at the cameras, RING takes you to a screen and MAKES you sign up for an account. Have to give an address and the TERMS OF SERVICE is rediculously long. I have had the cameras for two years and pay the yearly recording fee of $60. Now they are forcing me to agree to the TERM OF SERVICE in order to see them. There has to be a law against this.

I bought my ring doorbell a few years ago. It was easy to setup. Its response time is very slow. When someone pressed the doorbell, it takes minutes to notify you, and then the person is gone. It cannot capture every scene when a person approach the doorbell. This is not the worst. Recently, it started to ask for two-way verification of the account. When you tried to log into the account, it asked for two-way verification. It wants you to sign in a previous computer or device that had signed into ring in the past. I dont have that device anymore, then it doesnt let me sign in. So i called customer service, and cannot reach any live person. It keeps saying that I need to verify my identity. I cannot sign in, how can I verify. This is so stupid. Then I tried chat support, and they cant help me either but wants me to call. And then they don't provide a call back. And then they have to email support. This is the worst smart doorbell I had ever used. I'll never buy Ring products again. It's useless and waste of time and money.
My stickup camera could not be charged anymore, so I called customer service to notify them of this problem and was told not to worry, that they would send me a new replacement camera at no charge to me.
Shortly after, I received an email notifying me that this replacement was ordered and then a second email telling me that it had been shipped with the tracking number and other details.
So I waited, expecting a delivery within the timeframe they showed which was 7-10 business days. After waiting longer, approximately 15-20 days, I called them and after they kept me on hold for nearly 1 hour, they finally said that it might take a little longer for the delivery.
I was quite upset at that information, but as there was nothing I could do about it, I just calmed down and continued to wait.
Then, after a little over 1 month, I get an email from them telling me that the warranty had expired and that they wouldn't be sending the replacement after all.
This is the type of service you get from Ring.
I only now just read the reviews on this company and I see that nearly all of the many reviews give the same 1 star rating that I'm giving them.
If 0 rating were a possibility, that would be my rating.

Answer: Most annoying product ever. Doesn't work but almost does. This makes you constantly fool with it thinking you maybe possibly actually got it to do something similar to what they advertise. But in the end you will be back to square one with a pricey piece of crap! Then after hrs of listening to customer services b. S. you realize you've been had. But it doesn't end there. You end up on sites like this trying to help others from making the same mistake. And trying to figure out when this hell will end!
Answer: It does not work the way it is presented on T. V. The inability to immediately respond "LIVE" to an event renders it useless.
