I booked a reservation with them but they did not inform me that it was an additional 19.99 on top and I made 2 reservations. So I did not find this information out until they sent me a confirmation email. If I would have known that I would have booked with them and will never use them again in life

We just filed a complaint with the BBB regarding our hotel reservation through reservations.com NOT being refunded. Obviously, we could not travel, not to mention the hotel was CLOSED. Over 20 emails have been sent and now they are just ignoring us. NEVER EVER use this site to book anything.

I thought i made my reservation direct to the hotel, it turns out I did not.
Uping arriving at the hotel, they were closed and posted
The manager came out and explained they had an emergency and would be closed neark g 30 days. She assured me of a refund. I have since learned reservations.com expedia.com and Priceline.com are a the same company with a no refund policy. Even when the hotel is unable to put you up they try tp keep your full booking amount.

The rates for this hotel service is ridiculous. With the price of the hotel reservation.com fees and the taxes I ended up paying double for one room. I reserve the room online before with the same hotel through booking.com and only paid the price of the hotel room for now on I will be using booking.com. Because even with trying to get the issue resolved customer service is horrible The only thing they told me was there is no refund on rooms

Do NOT use this site
April 13, 2020

I made a reservation through this site on March 3rd which I cancelled on March 28th. Unfortunately, i paid $19.99 for the privilege of making a reservation through this site when I should have just called the Hotel Rio Matane in Quebec. I cancelled the reservation on March 28th and still have not received a credit back to my account. The staff at reservations.com said the credit to my account should take 6-10 business days (wrong), was delayed due to my "bank" (wrong, it was on a credit card), with a maximum of 10 business days (wrong, I have never received it).

Never, never, ever use this Company. We booked a hotel through them on a non-refundable basis in Dec. Of 19 for a May, 2020 vacation to Yellowstone and other national parks. I am 70 with a heart condition, and as such am in the extremely high risk category for the Corona Virus. We had three non-refundable hotel reservations for our trip, thankfully only one booked through Reservations.com. When I requested the refund, their representative told me it was up to the hotel. I called the hotel and they told me that they had implemented a flex reservation policy meaning any reservation could be cancelled and receive a refund up to 24 hours prior to arrival, and had no issue with my request to cancel and for a refund. Still, reservations.com denied it. The other two hotels we booked with were totally sympathetic and immediately issued full refunds despite the "non-refundable" booking. That any company could be so obtuse in the midst of this pandemic would require a complete lack of business ethics and should disqualify them for anyone considering using their services. Reservations.com does not deserve your business.

One last note that is utterly ironic. I have appealed their ruling and have been told the following by them in an e-mail: "Please allow for 7 to 30 business days due to a recent global crises for a reply from a Reservations.com agent." They cite the pandemic as impacting their operations, but seem oblivious and totally unsympathetic to the real world implications of this crisis that are impacting all of us in ways none of us could have anticipated every day.

No one should support a business that shows no social conscience at a time when corporate entities all around the world are doing everything they can to help people through this. Shame on Reservations.com.

Whenever I purchase anything and there is a fee associated, I make sure I understand it. In the case of booking my hotel on reservations.com, I was aware of the non-refundable $19.99 fee. However, since the hotel is closed due to COVID19 I think the right thing for reservation. Som to do is to refund the fee or put it on my account to use later. But no... they are keeping it. It's there prerogative to do that. However, when it's time for me to rebook it won't be through reservations.com. And the time after that... no. And the time after that... no. They will never see another cent from me. Mahesh Chaddah should be ashamed of himself. I will support the companies that did the right thing during 5e pandemic and do everything in my power to take away business form companies that were greedy.

I booked reservations for two nights to attend a wedding rehearsal dinner and a wedding the following day. I called customer support and cancelled my reservations due to COVID-19 restrictions and asked for a refund. I was told that they could not refund the money that they charged my credit card. However, they would refer it to management and the hotel and that I would hear from them in 7 to 10 days. That was 23 days ago and I've heard nothing but an email the following day that "customer support" would be looking into it. I have tried to call customer support only to be hung up on by a computerized voice. I would not under any circumstances use this company for anything!

Hotel booked was closed due pandemic yet my request for fee waiver was denied. Also required multiple calls over multiple days to get through to get commitment to credit my credit card (still not credited). Unable to get this done on line. Also they should have done this without any request/hassle on my part. Why do I feel like I'm wasting my time posting?

Reservations.com uses "sharp" practices to get reservations through them. I didn't realize I was using them when trying to book at the Comfort Inn. They indicated that it was the hotel, but it was a "boilerroom" operation. It was hard to hear what they were saying due to the background noise and the accent of the customer service rep. The room, with the additional fees, was more expensive than going direct to the hotel. Also, I was not able to cancel or even change the reservation date. They do not respond to phone calls or emails through their site. I learned a tough lesson when booking on line hotel rooms. Unfortunately it cost me $175.

Cheats!
March 25, 2020

They bait and switch with a banner on the Google search box. I didn't even realize I was using them. You think you are getting the hotel directly and you aren't! In addition, they tack on extra fees that do not show up until it's too late to back out and if your travel plans change, they try to tell you that your room is non refundable even though the confirmation says it is. Shame on Google for letting them place the reservation button in the area that makes you think you are headed to the hotels website when you are actually being redirected.

Called to make reservation and called back 19 mins later to cancel due to corona virus and I am bronchial asthmatic felt it was not safe. They said my refund would take 5-10 business days. Called 5 days later they are still working it. Called again later and said they are waiting on hotel to confirm refund and never got response. Called spoke to hotel manager they never received call or email from reservations.com and my acct is still active with no show. THEY LIED. Called back they said no refund. WHAT! I spoke to manager about this run around, lies and how I called hotel myself. My health being upper respiratory health issues and they said I will have my refund sent to me. NOTHING

I am appalled - I didn't even know I was using them, I went to the hotel's website. This firm billed my credit card a month in advance of my stay, and when my mother's surgery got rescheduled due to the coronavirus panic, I tried to cancel. They refused to refund my $199. I am absolutely appalled.

OK, needed to go to a memorial service for a dear uncle. Was recommended to stay at a particular hotel. Entered that hotel name and up popped a site, looked like the hotel site. Thought I made a booking. A few weeks later, looking at details and considering the corona virus, couldn't find any record of the booking. No email, no text, nothing. So jumped on Expedia and made a booking. Word comes from cousins that due to corona virus, service is canceled. Jumped on Expedia and canceled reservation, no problem. Then Visa statement arrives. Was charged for room at rate about $30 over Expedia rate, and there is a $19.99 fee. Don't remember anything about a fee, or being charged on CC before arrival. Went on line and found a customer support for Reservations.com. I had no record of the booking, but they found it, and say: "Please be assured that, as per the
Unique cancellation agreement which was quoted to you at the time of
Booking including non-refundable agreements, any applicable relevant taxes
And fees you are eligible for per the agreement will be refunded to the
Card charged at the time of booking." The "quoted to you" is a hoot, must have been the fine print on page 26... Now wait 7 to 10 business days to see what I may get back. I feel this is very poor business practice, if not an out and out scam. May change view a bit if things work out, but this seems like the worst option to book a room.

Misleading
March 16, 2020

My boss went online to make a hotel reservation. He didn't realize that he was being directed to reservations.com and thought instead he was booking directly with the hotel. It wasn't until we received the credit card statement and I questioned him on the $20 fee for reservations.com and asked why he spent so much money on the hotel room that he realized he was hijacked to a different website.
The next time he booked the same hotel room, he walked into the hotel and made the reservation in person. No only did he not pay the ridiculous $20 charge for this 3rd party company, he saved $75 on the room. What would be the purpose of a website like this if you pay an additional $95 for the same room? And quite frankly NO ONE likes to be mislead! If you were on the up and up, you would have no reason to mislead...

Deceptive
March 15, 2020

I thought I was on the hotel website. The big header was the name and address of the hotel. They made the whole page look like the hotel's website.
Now it's the coronavirus panic, my trip has been cancelled, the hotel itself is offering full refunds, but because I ended up booking through Reservation.com I can't access the refund. So I can't use the hotel room, and this company is keeping my money. Given the coronavirus situation, not being able to access my refund feels like thievery. Not good. There should be a law that prevents this sort of deception ( the faking they're the hotel website). Deliberate deception.

Disgusting!
March 15, 2020

I work for Auburn University's Graduate Recruiting. I was going to recruit UAB's Honor School on Friday March 20th. I made a reservation through this company for the night of the 19th. Due to the coronovirus situation the event has been cancelled. I called Reservations. Com to cancel my hotel because of coronovirus and was told they don't cancel reservations. This is not my fault and am giving them 4 days notice not 24 hours as most company's allow. Please refund to my card I used. Res# R******* Itin# **************

NEVER AGAIN!
March 14, 2020

$20 up-charge and I can't even get a reciept!
Their customer service amounts to being put on hold forever. I tried selecting the "book a new reservation" option just so I could talk to a real person. "Jazz" said he would transfer me to someone who could help and I implored him not to put me on hold forever.
He replied that he would only put me on hold for 1-2 minutes.
Guess what?
I surrendered and hung up after 15 minutes on hold.
Tried calling their customer support line again and sat on hold listing to thier recording for another 15 minutes.
I probably won't live long enough to win this battle so I guess I should just give up and move on.
