Recently, I reserved a hotel room online and paid the full amount of the room charge. Today, I noticed a $14.99 charge on my bank account from www.reservations.com. I have contacted my bank and will be disputing this charge. I checked the website where I completed the reservation, and found no such fee listed.
Service from staff was not great. The hair dryer affixed to the wall started to burn up. Called the front desk, and they said it was usual that this would happen, but try again. I tried to get our bill from the front desk and they said that they could not do this. What? Also, in the morning of our last stay the smell of sewer was overwhelming. By and large I would not recommend this hotel. PS the breakfast buffet however, was EXCELLENT
I thought I was dealing with a Hotel directly, but they moved me to this site.
I was on hold for 15 minutes to get a copy of a receipt. A recording comes on every 10 seconds to tell you to keep waiting. The goal is to get you to hang up.
Meant to reserve through the hotel website, but accidentally clicked through to this site and didn't notice it was the wrong place and their ridiculous $19.99 service fee. There is zero reason to use this site, no reputable site charges that kind of service fee, book through the hotel website, expedia, booking.com... anywhere but this.
So I thought I was on the hotel site directly; reserved the room; and then with the confirmation I see it is reservations.com, the room is non-refundable. I called within 5 minutes of my booking, but were very unhelpful and refund - well let's see shall we
In so many areas Casati made our 1st time visit to Budapest a wonderful experience. A consiarge service that helped us get where we wanted, to a fantastic breakfast every morning. The room was large and comfortable. Unique artwork around every corner. The colorful entry, doors of the rooms, and stairwell lights. All around excellent service and atmosphere.
I was having troubles finding an affordable and nice hotel to spend time with my family and I decided to look into this website. I found THE BEST rates online. Also, when I had to make a minor change to my reservation, they were quick and efficient. I would definitely recommend this website to a friend.
Booked 2 rooms for 2 nights. Booking came back with 2 rooms for 1 night. Spent 40 mins on the phone trying to amend the booking and gave up.
Arrived at the motel and they had booked 1 room for 1 night. I was told that I had to speak with reservations. Com by phone to amend the booking. 40 minutes on the phone. Eventually spoke to a rep that spent another 30 mins asking me questions that she already knew the answer to. I think they must have a premium number the longer that they keep you on the phone the more they steal from you. Hotel told me that if I'd rung them direct the rate would have been considerably lower. I would never use this site again. Complete rip off
I can just agree with the other voices: This is a predatory site that charges exorbitant fees, DO NOT use this site! Even if you cancel within 5 minutes they charge $19.99 and refuse to refund it. I had to cancel due to COVID, I could not stay in the hotel that they booked. I got the info literally within a minute of booking the hotel, Reservations.com would NOT issue a refund or even a credit for my stay reserved through Reservations.com.
I made a reservation online thinking I was dealing directly with the hotel, but surprise, I was dealing with reservations.com. Additionally, I was also dealing with booking.com - no bargains here - only several different entities lined up for additional price gouging. A very expensive hotel room in Iowa and an additional $14.99 fee from reservations.com for their "service" of gouging me. It's not easy to deal directly with a hotel through the internet by the time you are redirected through all the clever websites out there. In the future I will call the hotel directly. I suggest you do the same.
We made reservations we thought directly with the Queen Mary Hotel in Long Beach California on 7-29-2020 for check in on October 19,2020. The Hotel cancelled our reservation with reservations.com on 10-6-2020 and we never received one word from the hotel or reservations.com about the cancellation. I did credit all but $19.99 of our prepaid reservation. When asked for a credit of 19.99 I was told they could not refund that since it was their fee. I feel that since they did not notify us that the Hotel cancelled our reservation that I don't owe them a dime.
Do not use this service. They charged me three times plus $14.99 fee. When I called back to explain they overcharged me, they refused to help. Told me it was non-refundable even though their rep made the mistake. Said they only charged me $214.14 but my bank account charges totaled $289.70, not including the $14.99 fee.
HORRIBLE service!
I put in a hotel name and it took me to the hotel & it looked like the official website. I booked my reservation (weeks away) but the price was very high and, they charged me a fee to book. I immediately realized it was not the official site & called to cancel my reservation. The woman asked why & I told her I was mislead to her website & that their prices were higher. I gave her my confirmation number to cancel and she refused. She just kept asking how many rooms and how many people... I don't think I've ever experienced worse customer service. I hung up and called support. They cancelled my room but when I asked for the service charge refund, they said it was nonrefundable. I asked to report the rude agent & the man said he would put in a investigation report. I will never use them again but they present the exact same home screen as the hotel so check carefully that you are not using them! Higher price than hotel offers and a service fee... This business needs to be SHUT DOWN!
We came in town for a soccer tournament. Our kids wanted to swim and it was 6:00 pm. We were interrupted by a man who came in yelling at us and shouting at the kids telling them to be quiet or he would shut down the pool. I understand if it was passed pool hours or even close to time for other guests to be sleeping, however, it wasn't. I was also yelled at by another staff member telling me I couldn't take my bagel upstairs. I've never in my life had so many rude people on one staff. Very unfortunate.
They are using the hotel website, when I phoned the hotel website number it went to hotel.com /reservations.com and they increased the hotel room charge and charged another 15.00 fee to my credit card, please be aware of this!
Reservation.com hijacked The hotel site I was on, booked the room wIth the Promise of full refund as long as it is cancelled 48 hours before arrival, hiding the service fee from me. I repeatedly asked will I get the full refund of $163, to which I was told yes repeatedly. I called to cancel 25 minutes later. They are refusing to refund a service fee. Today's July 10th and the room was booked for August 22. A supervisor is calling me within 24 hours. If I do not get my refund, I plan to file A consumer complaint with the government Federal trade commission. Stay away! They are dishonest and a scam. Upon calling the hotel directly, they told me that they have some means of hijacking the site so it reverts over to them. Horrifying! I've never felt so scammed!
I drove my mother who is 95 to her older sisters funeral. I am 70 years old and needed a hotel for my mother and me. I paid for a room plus a fee and booked at a Hilton Garden for one night through Reservation.com. Upon arrival I was told there was no reservation in my name. They said Reservation.com booked the room and then withdrew the reservation. However, Reservation.com did not reimburse my bank card. I was forced to pay for the room once again as my mother and I needed a place to stay. I am on a fixed income. I have tried to call reservation.com multiple times and the phone keeps ringing and ringing with no answer. I will be reporting this company to The BBB. No one should be treated like this. This week has been difficult enough with the death of a loved one. You should always be able to have peace of mind once a room is booked and an email confirmation is given. I would highly recommend you stay as far away from this company as possible.
I had to make some urgent bookings for my parents in new york and this was all a last minute plan and I wasn't sure how to make proper arrangements for them with a reliable travel company so I got to this website and it was very quick. I could choose the hotel under my budget and customise my booking as per my needs. It was definitely a great experience for me!
I am very elated with the quality of service i received from these guys, i contacted them and told them all my preferences and in the end they delivered exactly what i wanted. They are very knowledgable and informative, they are good listeners and pay much attention to details. The hotel they got for me really had me wanting to spend more time but i really have to go. I highly recommend
I called best western thinking it was the actual hotel all to find out it was just a company booking the exact room I was trying to book through the actual hotel. Was charged 19.99 fee all for them to book my room that I could have done for free… they don't mention that while on the phone btw
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
