Booked a two night stay in middle of March using Reservation Desk.
My plans changed and I went to cancel the reservation with over 1 month before the reservation was effective. I could cancel the reservation however I would still be charged 100% of the original reservation!
When I spoke with both a representative of Reservation Desk and their supervisor, they told me 'tough luck - you booked it online and agreed to no cancellation policy'. I would never agree to a non-cancellation policy... life happens and plans change! Where this policy was in the fine print is beyond me... so here is a warning to those considering this service - simply don't. You will regret it! I know I do!

Surprisingly, for this old lady, it wasn't too hard to do on line I usually have problems with ordering anything on line or completing surveys.

Very straight forward on navigation the only hiccup was I didn't get the suit I wanted and had to settle for a smaller room

Called about a room reservation and was explained the process for a cancellation and rebooking. Since I went through booking, I had to cancel though them. When I rebooked went through Bayffront's web page. Which I thought I did the first time.

I honestly wish I didn't have to write this negative review. My wife and I live in Irvine, CA and we booked a Newport Beach NYE cruise to bring in the New Year. Really fun way to spend time together and celebrate. We also booked a room at Holiday Inn Express Newport Beach to have a place to stay after the cruise. It's obviously a convenient place to stay after getting off the boat. Our room for New Years Eve (12/31/24) was booked a couple weeks BEFORE NYE, and we received reservation confirmation from our credit card company. We wanted to make sure we had a place to stay after enjoying the cruise. We don't want to be driving on NYE of course. Holiday Inn Express Newport Beach canceled our reservation a COUPLE HOURS before check in. They are literally awful people who take no accountability. Who does this kind of thing (hours before check in)? I called Holiday Inn Express Newport Beach to discuss them cancelling the reservation and they literally hung up on me. No apology, no acknowledgement that they messed up. Absolutely awful people who don't care and take zero accountability. They need to be held accountable for their actions and lack of proper management. Very frustrating for my wife and me. I hope this review will make the decision makers at that hotel take accountability for their actions and I hope it helps others from dealing with this kind of frustration. Happy New Year! Be safe and avoid Holiday Inn Express Newport Beach. They are awful people.

Booking was easy and efficient however the fee did not reflect the original rate discussed with the hotel itself. Had to call and confirm that the charge was what was expected.

My reservation ended up going through Booking.com & I was charged $172 in booking fees. NEVER AGAIN WILL I BOOK THROUGH BOOKING.COM. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! RIP OFF!

Answer: It's a complete scam. What booking company takes your payment in full for the room months in advance and then you cancel months in advance and then they not refund your money! TOTAL SCAM! 110% scam!
Answer: They were deceptive. I googled to call the motel directly and I do not recall if I asked them specifically am I calling the motel directly, but they answered reservation desk, so I thought I was calling the Motel, and they never told me otherwise.
Answer: You are really not talking to a supervisor when you ask to speak with a supervisor. They have terrible customer service and hung up on me when I insisted on talking to someone above the person who would not help me. Seriously! Read some script and then hung up on me. I cannot get a refund. Do NOT use this service. They scam you into believing that you are talking to a representative of the hotel. When I called them to get my money back, the so called, "Supervisor," hung up on me and would not let me speak to her supervisor. Very unprofessional conduct. I would never hang up on a customer. She read some script over the phone to me and then hung up on me. DO NOT USE this scamming outfit. You have been warned!
