Reservation Desk: High Fees & No Guarantee of Reservation
I recently used Reservation Desk to book a room at a hotel near my home. I mistakenly believed I was booking directly with the hotel itself. After booking, I realized I had used an independent service.
This caused me bit of anxiety as I had a similar experience in Canada a couple years ago where my reservation made through a third party was not honored at the hotel.
To avoid a repeat of this situation, I immediately called Reservation Desk to cancel my booking. However, I was charged a non-refundable fee of $17.
To my dismay, I then checked the hotel's official website and found that the same room was available for $30 less than what I paid through Reservation Desk.
While booking services can be convenient for finding available rooms quickly, the high fees and the risk of your reservation not being honored at the hotel make them a less desirable option. I will be booking directly with hotels in the future."Dang. I thought I'd leaned my lesson from the Canada experience.
I guess the benefit of using a book service is that it connects you with hotels near by if you need to find a room fast or something.

Very easy experience. Until I get to the hotel. The lady at the desk says we canceled your reservation. I asked why? When I just talked to someone that I was onthe the way and she confirmed it. The reason I was given was that no one checked out because they extended their stay and they had to canceled 17 people. She stated she was standing there while her coworker was talking to me on the phone and told her to tell me that they had to cancel and she walked away, thinking she told me. I was very dissatisfied by this. My husband and I tired from driving from Atlanta, GA to St. Louis MO. No where to lay down. I had to find another hotel and payed a higer price that whatI spent using you all. I talked to one your reservation about this situation and she said I will be refunded. I would to suggest you take them off of your list. It seems to an extended stay place. Did not look like a Red Roof inn product. Police was station in the parking lot. People hanging out the window. I book a hotel and they know its full. No worries they send a confirmation for another hotel I didnt book. I call back ten minutes later because I wouldnt and didnt stay there if it was free. They say they cant refund my money but will call me back in twenty. I call back in 40 and they tell me they will call me in twenty again. I call back in another 40 minutes and they say they will get back to me in 24 hours. 30 hours later I call back and they say it can take 5-7 days. I call back 8th day and they say they have to get in touch with the hotel they tried to scam us into in the first place. Why they arent the scammers? And it will take another 5-7 days. Your getting the picture right. These people are honestly the worst crooks Ive come across in 64 years of living and thats saying something. They will steal your money, run you around endlessly instead of doing the right thing and fixing their mistake. I dont write negative reviews lightly but these folks deserve nothing but the worst. Im just getting started.

I was charged $301 for my room but when I arrived to check in paperwork I signed stated $170
No one will return my call and the person I spoke to says no refunds.
The young lady at the front desk was very nice but the room we were changed to on the third floor was very dusty and the remote control was about to fall apart, we had to be careful and then it switched to game remote which we had a difficult times getting back to where we could see regular television. The walls in the bathroom by the bath tube was very rusty and needed a repair very badly. The walls looked as if someone smeared some brown substance on the entrance wall and there was only a fourth of toilet paper on the roll which was left on top of the holder without any extra paper we had to go to the front desk and ask for some which she gladly did. I'm not sure if the cleaning people were in a hurry or what but you could write your name on the tables which is how dusty it was. Over all our stay was not that pleasant at all and the breakfast was over cooked sausage links and no boiled eggs all scrambled and only juice was apple or OJ and coffee that was too strong.

Answer: It's a complete scam. What booking company takes your payment in full for the room months in advance and then you cancel months in advance and then they not refund your money! TOTAL SCAM! 110% scam!
Answer: They were deceptive. I googled to call the motel directly and I do not recall if I asked them specifically am I calling the motel directly, but they answered reservation desk, so I thought I was calling the Motel, and they never told me otherwise.
Answer: You are really not talking to a supervisor when you ask to speak with a supervisor. They have terrible customer service and hung up on me when I insisted on talking to someone above the person who would not help me. Seriously! Read some script and then hung up on me. I cannot get a refund. Do NOT use this service. They scam you into believing that you are talking to a representative of the hotel. When I called them to get my money back, the so called, "Supervisor," hung up on me and would not let me speak to her supervisor. Very unprofessional conduct. I would never hang up on a customer. She read some script over the phone to me and then hung up on me. DO NOT USE this scamming outfit. You have been warned!
