Same day booking
April 17, 2023

I was in NYC and needed to book a hotel to stay the night. I call a trusted hotel site and unknowingly was connected to a third party booking agent - Reservationdesk.com. They took all my information and charged my credit card and gave me a confirmation number and the email said guaranteed booking. When I arrived at the hotel they had been booked for days. There was never a room available. It was late and I was traveling with two children so I began trying to secure a room elsewhere. I figured since I never checked-in and there was never actually a room available I would call in the morning to make sure they knew what had happened. The girl I spoke with had a hard time understanding what we had been through. She said she could not reverse the charges. I asked to speak with someone who could help me, and the next person was unwilling to help me either. I have been charged $330 plus a $15.99 booking fee for a room that never existed. Reservationdesk.com is a scam if you have a problem they will never be able to assist you. I have filed for a fraud investigation with my credit card company. What a nightmare.

Scam and horrible customer service experience

Scam for booking on line. Don't book. They say the cancellation policy is clearly stated after you book. They do not refund even if the hotel does accept the cancellation. They make money off of doing nothing but reserving something you can do directly with the hotel. The hotel and big chain was great an even honored a different stay at no cost. Never use this company if you think you may have to cancel unexpectedly.

Terrible!

I can't express enough not to use this organization to book your hotels. If you have any issues at all, they will not provide good customer service in resolving the issue. There are plenty of other services to use other than this one. Don't risk it!

FRAUD
April 13, 2023

This is a scam. They will NOT identify themselves as an unaffiliated third party. They charged me $1200 on what should have been an all-in $900 booking, plus fees and some sort of 30% "sales tax". I went to the hotel in person to dispute this discrepancy, only to find out some random middle man took all that money. The hotel was happy to cancel this without any charges. Reservation Desk refuses to return any of these fraudulent charges and their customer service person can't speak English. I had to go through my credit card company and I am currently reporting the fraud with the consumer protection board.

The front desk mr. Zack refuse service to us because we didn't have an member ship card and we try to show him our reservation number and he wouldn't look at he stated you don't have member ship card no room that's my policy. I stated I heard the younger gentleman tell your our room was overbooked and then he told us to get out or he was going to call the cops on us. We just want spend two days of our 25 anniversary there, I'm an senior citizen, combat veteran and currently work part time at an holiday inn in saint Robert Missouri. I have never been treated like this in my life. The front desk personnel never once call us sir or ma just to get out because they over booked then he wiped our name from the reservation. This is not right to treat people this way, awful first impression to this hotel

Booked a stay at Flamingo water park, was told many times that water park was included in price, after booking with them and receiving confirmation found out i had to pay an extra charge, in which i could have booked threw hotel them selfs and hot a cheaper stay. Now hotel is completely booked and cannot cancel or my Daughter and i wont have a place to stay and a Disney experience, all becouse they lied. Only gave a star becouse had to, so disappointed

GLH HOTEL

RESERVATION DESK PROVIDES POOR AND HORRIBLE CONDITIONS INFESTED WITH ROACGES HOTELS! AND FO NOT REFUND YOUR MONEY BACK! HORRIBLE HOTEL THAT WAS PROVIDED BY RESERVATION DESK! The pictures provided on the website was nothing compare to what the actual room looked like. This room at GLH Hotel is infested with ROACHES. We cancel our room in less than 5 minutes of checking in. Reservations Desk hasn't refunded me the Money even though we reach out to them and provided proof of how the room was. I've been getting the run a around for more than 10 Days. Today I spoke to ROSE Supervisor on Duty and the same Bull$#*!. This place is a joke. Reservations Desk provides Poor disgusting Hotels and DO NOT REFUND YOU THE MONEY BACK!

Undercover Site

This site has you assume they are the Marriott sites Reservation Desk while making the reservation. Modern times for smoke and mirrors - Terrible. It should list itself loud and clear that they are not "Marriott" - a school function that cannot receive the $600 discount. I am so upset by this "reservation desk" - something I can never forget. Sad company. The price was not even a discount. I am so upset.

Worthless

I recently made a reservation with these people for a room. When I had a question about the amenities of the hotel, I was put on hold for 10 minutes. I then had another question, again I was on hold for another 10 minutes. They took all of my information and I booked the room. They never sent a receipt or a confirmation number. Now I have no idea if the room was booked. All I have is the CC transaction. If I was you, I would avoid ever using this company to book rooms.

Deceptive. Got my reservation wrong and then said they had to review conversations to determine if a refund is valid. I missed out out on a family vacation because they got it wrong and to add to it insulting me by implying I was lying! Don't use them!

I have stayed at this hotel for a year because of my work. That's hard enough to be away from family but because I stay at this hotel it's like a second home it makes me feel so relaxed from the GM down I have received nothing but first class service. I been recommending this place stay with family and friends visiting in the area and I'm still gonna recommend it still.

WILL NEVER GO BACK

When I reserved the room with a Whirlpool about a week ago for Feb 04 and I arrived at the location from Ohio at 8pm and was told my room wasn't ready yet and it wouldn't be for about another hour so then I arrived back in about 2 hours and they said it was ready, So I went to my room and found that about 3 of the lights in the room wasn't working including the one over the Whirlpool and then noticed the tub wouldn't hold the water at all so then after that I wanted my refund for the room back and they tried to give me a another room but didn't have a Whirlpool in it so I didn't take it and ended up having to drive back home in Ohio and was not happy at all.

Charged me 344 when the room was 178

They charged me almost 2x what the room was actually. They took my card information over the phone and the hotel they set me up in was absolutely horrible. The first room had trash in the fridge and the second room had cigarettes in the window of the non-smoking room. When I called to ask why it was so much more than the 178 I was pretty much told to go screw myself because they have to make money some way. I could understand if it was a charge for 200 instead of 178 because they would still make money, but 344 is ridiculous. No way to get my money back or any sort of refund either.

Thieves, liars and crooks

As nearly all other reviews of this despicable company let me warn you NEVER to book with RESERVATIONDESK.COM, a fraud of a company. First, somehow when I googled to reserve the hotel I chose their number came up and not the hotel. Only later did I learn I could have booked directly with hotel. Somehow they are able to insert themselves. Without going into the copious details let me just say that the GM of the hotel REFUNDED my $920.00 as there was an issue with the hotel but had to do so to reservationdesk.com and then they were supposed to put it back on my credit card. It was NEVER done and will never be done. This company needs to be taken down by the government and I am going to report them to the proper authorities and encourage all of you that have been harmed to do so as well.

Hello, I had a work trip planned and when I attempted to cancel (work plans changed) and accept the cancellation fee the customer service rep (Alexandra) became passive-aggressive and rude and kept speaking over me and repeating the cancellation policy when I wasn't even disputing it. In fact, the trip was made already after the date for the cancellation policy. I was just trying to get the amount to be refunded when she again repeated the cancellation policy that I was not disputing. She then called me back and accused me of hanging up on her and said she would not cancel my reservation and then asked me if I wanted to cancel it. So very strange. After attempting to escalate it to a manager, she said none were available and I had to call back. Well, every time I did, she answered and repeated the same and said I could not be called back by a manager. Is this correct? If future business is important, I would really like to talk to a manager, so this unnecessary and unpleasant experience does not happen to someone else. As long as everything goes as planned they are ok to use but events change, life changes and Reservation Desk does not care what your situation is. I tried several times to explain my situation and all they kept saying was "no refund is our policy"!
Not only am I out the cost of the hotel plus taxes they charged me an extra $15 fee.
All that money and I won't even use the room. This is why I think they are a scam!

OVERCHARGED

I called and made a reservation for two nights and Oscar told us the cheapest price we could get was $105 a night so I went ahead and made the reservation. When I got the confirmation text it said $189 a night. Called hotel to make sure I wasn't charged the extra and she said their price was $99 a night. We went ahead and made the reservation thru the front desk. There was an option in reservation desk to cancel so we did that. I called to see if we would get refunded and was told no refunds. I asked if we could go ahead and get the room then since it had been less than 10 minutes and he said no they would have to charge it as a new booking. I was not only out what they charged for our cancelled booking but we were also charged $15.99 booking service fee. Will never use them again!

Screaming babies welcome!

I stayed here in room 4107 Jan 12-16 2003 for my anniversary & was treated to a screaming baby in the adjoining room. When I spoke to the desk- they lied and said the other guests were checking out that day. Surprise- they did not. Night two of the screeching child brought me on the phone to a manager- I believe her name was Bernadette. I asked to be moved to another room and she said there were no other comparable rooms available. Good business they are doing to be fully booked! She offered security - not sure what the plan was there to have security quell a screaming baby? Oh and she offered me earplugs. Thanks a lot Bernadette. When I told her earplugs and security would not fix the problem- she said "since I booked with a third party vendor, I would have to speak with them". So apparently I was a squatter here at the luxurious mandalay bay- or at least made to feel like one. In the end- they gave me a $100 resort credit, which I didn't want, I was not looking for a refund, ann upgrade, or anything I hadn't paid for… all I wanted was a room in which I could sleep. I was awake Friday until Sunday except for falling asleep during the lovely show I booked Saturday - all thanks to my exhaustion courtesy of Mandalay Bay. This was a trip to celebrate my anniversary, and it was the worst trip I have ever taken. Thanks Mandalay Bay & your amazing employee; Bernadette.
