I started to sign up but decided against paying the fee. But my phone number was in system... i receive several calls from different numbers from a woman calling herself Marilyn. She will not stop calling... all times of day and night... dont recommend them at all if this is the type people they employ... when i try to call back the number is not in service...
Horrible scam. Stay away. They do not list real properties but will continue to charge your card, then tell you that you cannot have complete access to the properties because you discontinued billing, even though you never received any type of service or real listing while paying for service. We have made many calls and spoke to manager of company, and he refuses to provide service or refund our money. We gave him the choice. He has chose to do neither.
I was surfing the internet for home listings and came across Rent to own.com I am interested in buying a home, but was curious to learn more about renting to own. I entered my telephone number but decided not to have my credit report ran so I exited out of the site. I have been getting calls from numbers from different states, and speaking with very aggressive rent to own reps that become RUDE and belligerent when I asked to be removed from there calling list.
I had an agreement to purchase a used 55" LG smart TV. The Sales Assoc. (Michael) arranged for me, after speaking with his manager (Jeremy) to rent the TV until 1/3/17 at which time I was going to make a substantial payment calculated on paying the TV off in full in 90 days. I called and spoke with Jeremy today and informed me that I could not pay on the TV and would have a month in advance. This isn't what we agreed to. I am cancelling the purchase. Please remove from all solicitations. Thank you.

My wife asked me about this site since a guy from craigslist sent this link to her.
This website will ask for your phone number, once you input your number, the next day you will starting receive scam calls (most of them are indiana guys).
Also the next step they are asking for credit card... do not input anything!
I was about to purchase a single family home from this website but after i heard about parrot scam website I look up the website reviews and there are a lot of bad reviews luckily i didn't give any information.
I was so close to purchasing the list for "rent to own" n then I remembered how sitejabber helped me in the past on other potential scam websites. Wow - Thank God I looked it up. Because of all ur reviews I blocked Rent to Own sites. Again Thank You Sitejabber for saving me from another scam. Thank you... Thank you... Thank You!
Do not waste your time or money. Majority of the houses they have on their site that you might have the slight interest in has no contact information or house has been sold a year ago.
The playstation 4 I purchased, which was in their records, had no serial number attached to the product and I was accused of removing it. It made it impossible to resell when it was no longer needed, as i also purchased a smart TV from them, also in their records, among many other things. Why on Earth would i remove it for resale after paying the obscene amount I paid for all items. The idea that I would pay so much for one makes it hard to believe I'd steal on for extra cash. All purchases made were paid in full every month. This should at the very least speak to my character. The playstation was rarely used and not moved but for cleaning since the day I started paying for it. The only reason to remove a serial number is so it cant be tracked as stolen property. As I was not the one who would do it the reasonable conclusion was rent to own, in hillsboro ohio.
House listing no pics and location a bit odd. I was suspicious from the start but called. Got a recording didn't leave a message. Within minutes I got a text. When I confronted them about my concerns and asked questions they said sorry to bother you and went silent!
If you are really looking for "rent to own", contact a local realtor and tell that realtor that this is what you want. The reason is that realtors' information includes whether or not the seller of a home is willing to do a rent to own arrangement. You don't have to go through a scam site like this to find rent-to-own. Realtors handle rent-to-own, because it's part of the business. It may not be high-profit per transaction, but not every house has a $500,000 list, either.
This company attempts to take money from my account every day I spoke with a person representing this company and I thought I had it understood that I have never given my information to this site and he understood and returned my money immediately now the next morning I look at my phone this company get rent to own has taken my money again and as I was emailing them about the thievery another attempt was made now I'm about to report this company to the better business bureau and possibly have some legal action to place cause what are doing is against the law stilling consumers money also stole information.
Mad as hell
They get no star
They sold my number I get 50+ calls, texts and emails from different numbers every single d**** day! I hope they get nasty karma for the bulls*it they've caused. Waking me up at 6 am until 11pm. Absolutely do not contact them whatsoever.
While some of the information was moderately helpful, I could have spent the same amount on an hour w/my lawyer. These types of site are sometimes referred to as "boiler room operations". Fancy looking website financed by the monies they pimp out of the consumers. Like the Wizard of Oz it's all smoke and mirrors and very little substance. There are dozens of other websites, including government consumer protection sites, that would have the same for free. My advice; 1)Take due diligence before investing any money in this website. 2)Nothing is for free, if it sounds too good to be true it probably is. S. Macest
Like many other unfortunate consumers, my mother Sue was tricked by this website into an expensive recurring monthly bill. She cancelled, and yet was charged again for the next month. The agent she spoke with this evening was less than helpful when she called as he wanted to go home for the day, and curtly told her to fill out a form (which he never sent) requesting a refund and to submit it to their legal department. As stated in a voice message left tonight, she will be contacting the BBB and Attorney General, and filing a dispute with the bank unless she receives a refund for these charges.
This company is very misleading and is no help whatsoever. Don't waste your time and money. The site does not give you an accurate description of what is actually available in the area you are looking for.
This site states that the asking price for a home is $150,000 and that it is listed with a real estate agent. I found and contacted the owners of the home. This is a $3.6 million home and is NOT listed for sale with anyone! The owner is an 86-year-old man! PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS SITE! I took the chance on the 7-day trial and put in my card number, knowing that I would have to cancel my card, and a fake phone number. I have a special email that I use for signing up for sites. I will be posting this warning across multiple review sites as well as reporting it to the BBB and FBI Internet Fraud Division.
I was surfing the web and came across "renttoown" I put my contact info in to request more information, with in 5min I received a call from the company, and then another 10 minutes later, then another and so on. The next day I finally answered and asked "what type of company is this, this is harassment and its totally unacceptable. Please take me off your list. Thank you". Then he got upset... I hung up on him of course and blocked the number. ITS A SCAM.
While the agents were friendly, I asked if this comment required money up front and the first agent said no! I know my credit score is good yet I was transferred to another agent, even though I informed the first one of this. She was friendly, yet when she began discussing my need for an improved credit score I immediately called her bluff! I told her I knew my credit was good and asked her if her part in this required money! She paused and untold her I knew this was a scam and would not waste my time or hers! Shame in these people taking advantage of those who so desperately need help!
