I could tell it was a scam from the jump. Didnt give them any real information other than my email. I will be telling everyone this site is a scam. Quick question... Hows this site still up and running?!
I had a 49.00 payment paid out to them and no one ever helped me, the homes i found i contacted them myself and when i told the rep to cancel my account because of the money stolen from my account, he tried to offer me a cheaper option, why. So u can take a $100 next time.
I gave this company a shot and I emailed or contacted close to 80 homes but did not receive one call back. I received a billion phone calls from recruiters even up to 10pm but not one lead panned out on any of the properties. I was so unhappy with the service I could scream.
I never used the site was charged 49.95 when ask can I unsubscribe and get my money back on my card they said no they don't give your money back a total $#*!ing scam I recommend no one to use rent to own is a rip-off...
I set up an account with is company & when I seen they didn't have anything in my area, I cancelled my account only to be charged again at the full rate. I phoned and requested a refund that never happen & after 3 months of calling 2-3 times a week & getting apologies & promises to refund my card. I gave up & had to shut down my card.
You'll never get someone that can actually help you. All you'll ever get when you call in is someone at home with kids running around in the background playing while a rep pays no attention to what your issues might be & tell you that you'll get a call back that will never happen or your refund will happen in 3 days & you guessed it. That will never happen either.
Agreed to a $1 charge to look at current listings with a friend looking for a place and ended up with a monthly charge of $49.60. Their customer service tells you it is in the terms and conditions. When you agree to $1 you do not receive any warning you are agreeing to a membership requiring cancellation.
This is clearly a site not to help anyone get in a home the pretend to care with a quick call and tell u to sign up to a credit fix company, then they send you all these affiliates to where they get paid overtime you sign up to one of the so call available houses website which will always lead to a 7 day free trial and then a monthly fee.
There is never anyone you can talk with and dont depend on anyone to call and truly help,
This company pop out in my email. With a picture of a beautiful 3 bedroom, 3 bath home for $395 a month. Rent Hawthorne, Ca starts at $1700 for a two bedroom apartment. Like mama say if something is too good to be true, Walk away. I clicked on that email anyway. Because i am so desperate to get out of the apartment life, I hate it. Then the send us you contact info pop up. I then pumped my breaks and google rentoown. The thing that popped up was sitejabber.com. Omg, I have never seen so many one star on any company. The only 5 stars was another near miss like me lol. 100% of the people who signed up got ripped off. How do these scammers stay in business. Oh yeah, There is a sucker born every minute. Thank you very much sitejabber.com and the reviewers. Y'all have have saved me valuable time and money. I am not going to make it a habbit to google anybody or company I'm about to do business with.
Please...
BEWARE of rent to own. Org I contacted them and then they contacted me two different times to try to move forward on renting to own a home wanted to get information if you have good credit don't waste your time because they literally will not talk to you so you have to have bad credit in order for rent to own to talk with you due to they want to sign you up with a credit repair program that will cost you. This information is not disclosed on their website that if you have good credit they cannot work with you companies like this are very misleading especially for first-time home buyers that are so excited and waited most of their lives to buy a new home it's really sad that companies like this can take advantage of those kind of people shame on you guys.
After authorizing a $1.00 charge for a one-week trial membership, I noticed a charge for $49.60 on my bank statement 2 weeks after the one week trial membership ended. I cancelled today and was told that the authorization for full membership is in the agreement for the trial membership! This is trickery and now I see reviews of others who say the listings are fake and altered and from those who have been charged $49.60 again even after cancellation. It's enough to make you sick and disgusted. Will be contacting the BBB next.
I joined this site for a trial, and couldn't log back on in order to view or cancel my membership. When I told them, I was sent a form to print and fill out, too see if maybe I would be able to get a refund. That was only after I filed a complaint with another site like this. Use this site only if you like giving away your money.
This company is Bull$#*!.
You can't even understand the people talking to you and all the noise in the back ground. It's so ridiculous I Called wanting some info on how to rent a home and what I have to do and the first question they asked me was if I have a credit card if so they needed to number to charge me 1$ then I could be able to find listings of homes for rent to own and went online couldn't get in for 1 week and they turned around charged my card 49.60 to start a new trial when I couldn't even get into the so called free trail and wouldn't give me my money back and said it will take up to 10 days to cancel my $#*!. So I ended up paying 100$ for nothing. Best bet just go threw a real estate agent! Stay away from company's that don't have your same area code.
I called to cancel my subscription. Before I did this I read the reviews. The first thing I did was called my bank and blocked my debit card and ordered a new one. When i called this company I spoke with a very nice lady and asked her to cancel my membership. She said she was going to send me A $20.00 coupon and cancel my subscription. I explained to her I wanted my subscription cancelled again. She understood. Before we hung up she quickly told me she lowered to subscription to $19.99 a month. I explain to the lady on the phone I had already blocked my card and I did not give her authorization to ATTEMPT TO withdraw ANY additional money out of my account. My advice to anyone here is once you give them your credit card/debit card number block it because they will stop at nothing to charge it. I moved all my money to another account and notified the bank just in case they managed to get into my account. I believe these people work on commission only and will stop at NOTHING to gain access to your account.
Don't do it. It's a bait and switch scam. Rto gets paid to transfer calls to a credit repair agency. They don't own or rent anything. It's a telemarketing agency, and they treat their employees like $#*!. I used to work in their call center. Even their employee recruiting is bait and switch.
If you are stupid enough to go to their site, do not give them your phone number, they will just keep calling you six or seven times a day, beware, do not ever give them your credit or debit card number, you cannot stop them from charging you!
I have been connected with this company for a month, they said in order to find a house I had to be connected to Lexington law for credit repair in which this company took money from my account. I have yet to have any services provided and have tried to contact this rent to own company in which have had no success. I now believe that this is a scam.
I was so close to purchasing the list for "rent to own" n then I remembered how sitejabber helped me in the past on other potential scam websites. Wow - Thank God I looked it up. Because of all ur reviews I blocked Rent to Own sites. Again Thank You Sitejabber for saving me from another scam. Thank you... Thank you... Thank You!
Complete SCAM. I didn't pay and clicked out but they keep calling me and I told them to stop and that I was at work but she was like just wait- we can get ypou a house! And transferred me to some Lexington Law guy. He told me he will fix my credit and I told him there is nothing wrong with my credit OR my score- just that I didn't have money for a downpayment on a house. He said VERY RUDELY " well there must be something wrong with your credit or they would not have sent you to me" so I hung up and blocked them.
They took $40/no for the last 3 months to find out that rent to own properties don't really exist on this site! Every realtor called saying not rent to town even though the site says that they are. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY! And they refuse to take NO AND CANCEL for an option and harass you into discount pkgs. DONT BOTHER TO SIGN UP! ITS A SCAM. AND I AM REPORTING THIS TO THE BBB AS WELL! SCAMMERS FOR YOUR MONEY IS THE REAL NAME OF THIS COMPANY!
I sign up for rent to own. The listings I got were for North Carolina. I live in South Carolina and I could not change the city so 2 days later I canceled the account. Then 3 weeks later they charged my account. I called after four attempts to reach them someone finally answered the phone. They are only going to give me 25 dollars back in four days. If I want the full amount then my request for my money it will be sent to legal. So basically I wasted my money and time on a site that will take your money and not have the correct information nor access to what you're looking for. Rent to own is a scam!
