They took $40/no for the last 3 months to find out that rent to own properties don't really exist on this site! Every realtor called saying not rent to town even though the site says that they are. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY! And they refuse to take NO AND CANCEL for an option and harass you into discount pkgs. DONT BOTHER TO SIGN UP! ITS A SCAM. AND I AM REPORTING THIS TO THE BBB AS WELL! SCAMMERS FOR YOUR MONEY IS THE REAL NAME OF THIS COMPANY!

Complete RIP off
May 22, 2020

I sign up for rent to own. The listings I got were for North Carolina. I live in South Carolina and I could not change the city so 2 days later I canceled the account. Then 3 weeks later they charged my account. I called after four attempts to reach them someone finally answered the phone. They are only going to give me 25 dollars back in four days. If I want the full amount then my request for my money it will be sent to legal. So basically I wasted my money and time on a site that will take your money and not have the correct information nor access to what you're looking for. Rent to own is a scam!

Rent to own is Falsely advertising my house as a rent to own, it is not. It further promotes my listing as Owner financing, not true. I have not given Rent to own permission to hare information about my Home listing, If they are giving out information about my listing and charging people for this information they are committing Fraud.

Warning scam
February 7, 2021

Looking for a house and found this site. Before I could get the info page filled out I got a call from a very poor speaking person. It is a Sunday morning! They were really pushy to get my CC info. They said they could speed up my rent to own needs by having it. Never ever heard of that before! So I played along and kept them on the phone for a very long time. You could hear the frustration in their voice. I put them off till tomorrow because my wife and I need to discuss this further. They said they will call back. Cant wait. Hope they are ready for my Marine, you've pissed me off attitude when they call! They tried to get me to do credit repair with a law firm for the tidey price of 59.95. This is a total scam! Avoid every thing to do with these people!

UPDATE: THE LAW FIRM IS LEXINGTON L. L. C. DO NOT ENGAGE THOSE PEOPLE!

Filled out all the information called for; such as name, email, phone number, credit score, and how much made monthly. It went nowhere. Next page site was totally blank.

Awful
June 23, 2016

This website is awful. Never put your person information in. I got 15 calls a day with voicemais from them. I finally had to go in to my phone store and block "Jessica" from my rent to own. My suggestion, go somewhere else. They spam you like you wouldn't believe.

Hung up on me! Wow!
July 29, 2021

Rent To Own has relentlessly called. I finally connected with a rep. I inquired about the possibility of moving in with my daughter so the 2 of us could potentially rent to own a place of our own with our 2 incomes. My daughter and I live in 2 different states. I am now retired and miss my daughter and grandchild. I kept getting asked about credit, debt to ratio, etc. When I stated I was retired, the bee atch hung up on me. No explanation, no format as to how Rent To Own works, no income requirements, etc. Wow! Wow! Wow! What a scam! Run - don't walk in the opposite direction!

After putting in my zip code, they stated they had rent to own houses near my zip code, I wanted to know what they considered near, but Ann only wanted my information and money. They also piggybacked onto a local number to get me to answer.

Scam
June 1, 2020

I didn't even finish signing up and I already knew this was a scam. As soon as I submitted my phone number, I recieved a call from a lady. She tells me to hurry up and finish filling out the rest of my info so they can send me the listings, but before I could even respond to her, she hung up. I did not finish filling out the rest of my info but I started getting all kinds of real estate marketing spam through text messages. Stay clear from these marketing spammers.

Just say no...
July 15, 2017

I'm an older man on SSI with one negative on my FICO and a score just over 700. Banin Rostislav wanted to sign me up with a credit repair company. Uhhhh... nyet. So he just hung up.

Here's what I don't get about all those who were charged, sometimes more than once... why did you not call the issuer of your credit cards to reverse the charges? Yes, they'll investigate... just steer them to this site! The benefit to using a credit card is you have recourse in cases of fraud... which is this company's only mission.

NOT A RENT TO OWN SITE
December 13, 2018

You can use Zillow, Trulia, Redfin, Homesnap, or just get a realtor all for free. This was a waste of my hard earned money and time. If you are looking for foreclosures or REOs knock yourself out, but even with that just use other free home buying sites.

Scammer
July 7, 2018

I am coming out of chapter 13 and no one will rent to me. I tried rentoown and signed up with Lexington law and paid 149. Of course they didn't and couldn't help me because I have no credit. I was never sent a link to available homes and felt that the only reason or purpose was to sign up with Lexington law. I canceled mt Lexington agreement and will try other avenues. Don't sign up with Lexington. This is a scam

Once you get on their call list you will be called 7 to 8 times a day through an automated system and you can't even tell anyone to take you off the freaking list. They also call with different local numbers in my area so I have to pick up due to me having a teen and trying to conduct business. It's the most annoying freaking system ever. Beware! This is definitely a scam! When I first considered I did research and absolutely no one said on their reviews they helped them get a home. They will try to get you to pay to get your credit fix WHICH I already had but they were too consistent that I get it anyway. When I rejected their program all I get is calls ALL DAY LONG AND EVERY DAY!

These lease to own home sites can be useful but I think consumers need to be aware of all of the pitfalls of these types of companies and agreements.

SCAM - Creepy Calls
September 21, 2020

I was browsing for new homes and places to rent (obviously) and ultimately decided not to go forward with this site. However, I keep on getting calls from random numbers all across the country.

They go like this: I answer the call, there is a long pause, then a presumably female person on the other end says "Hi... (my name)? This is_____ from RentToOwn, how are you today?" And I hang up. The kicker? If I call the number back, there is no ringing-nothing. It IMMEDIATELY says the exact same thing, just: "Hi... (my name)? This is_____ from RentToOwn, how are you today?"

It's the creepiest thing, and I keep blocking the numbers left and right, but they are always different. I can't get into my account to cancel it, and even if I could I doubt it would make a difference since they've probably sold my number hundreds of times already.

I don't know what to do, but I am warning you now. DO NOT SIGN UP OR EVEN CLICK ON THEIR WEBSITE. They WILL mess with you and it's disgusting.

It clearly states...$1 fee to cancel your trial. Never states the payment price for the trial. Haven't yet used them most likely won't. It would help people if you READ!
