This company well the rent a center on Farmington ave in Hartford Ct will lie about timing have you wait to then also Lie about calling other rental companies you have been with to ask about your credit with them. Aarons denied about giving them the any info they asked for and then told me a Lie..

We have rented a game console with them and they spoked to my wife and told her they have spoken to one of us saying that we told them that one of us were in jail and none of us has talked to them! This was all coming from the store manger George on Milwaukee and Fairview. We will never be renting from them again!

You pay for a warranty and you don't get it or it's bogus and you have to go threw 3 or 4 things to get your merchandise replaced, plus you have to wait for them to check it out, I shouldn't be payin 1700 dollars for a ps5 to have to sit and wait a couple days for you to do something abt it you don't have manny customers as it is and you still don't do your job right, Stephanie was the best help yall had and now it's just in the drain if I could give negative stars I would

I have been purchasing from RAC for years! Today I called to make a payment. The guy that answered, David NEVER can give me an accurate pay off amount. It always varies! I ended paying off a purchase than making just a simple payment! Because they don't seem to be SMART enough to explain anything or can figure out what the exact pay off is! They females there are ALWAYS SUPER RUDE TOO! I AM OUT $450 when I only intended to pay $199!

Manager doesn't listen to what you tell him and does whatever he wants. Withdrew money from my account after I clearly had them pick up furniture and advised them to close my account
I will advise everyone I know not to do business with the criminals. I found out other complaints from friends about the same thing. I have filed a police report and am willing to take them to civil court.

My daughter went online n ordered a bedroom set went pickup was giving me a different set because that's the only one they had in store n wasn't gonna say anything until my son notice a piece was missing talk to my daughter she didn't want he says let her put up once done she'll like two days later call n told him come pickup he said they were short staff it took a few days to pickup now he's holding that against her for renting a tv from them. Tried reaching to his DM no reply call the home office it's a automated machine. And with that he told me to take my business to Affordable what store mgr. Says stuff like that. He's so unfriendly, rude, disrespectful and more. I'll make sure anyone I know doesn't rent from this store. It's more to the story but too much typing for me just know they'll never have to worry about me again n if I can help it no one I know if I hear RENTACENTER I'll tell them RUN N GO YO AFFORDABLE AS THE MANAGER DANIEL TOLD ME!

All I'm going to say is there is no way in hell at 60 inch tv is worth $1800 just got the tv last month. Very unprofessional harassed me over $20 called me on no caller ID numbers if you buy ANYTHING from this company you too just as them are idioits

This company is rude and unprofessional. They don't have any understanding for people problems/issues they think that everything should be around their time and schedule. They can care less about any emergency or family concerns you may have that arises out of no where. Their employees aren't what is expected they feel that they better than those who are renting their trash $#*! items. They have a fag that feels like he is high standards and he don't have to listen to any concerns he will walk in your home like he high sh**. So this is why I give a zero. Also they will not come fix they products that may break out of no where they will take their time doing this but feel that you still should pay for broken items. If I could zero stars I would, because that's what they are trash have no respect for anything or anyone. If you want to deal with the rude calls and rude way of knocking like they the police than by all means go and rent to own your sh** from here. Better to go to Rooms and other companies.

The employees and store manager at Rent -a-Center at the Beckman shopping center are totally unprofessional! They're extremely rude. Unfriendly. The store is always dirty. None of the employees working there including store manager have any knowledge what so ever on the products they carry and sell! They try to make you pay two payments a month on the item you purchased from them. By staying that the payment didn't post! I just releasely leased an Men's electric mountain bike for my husband from them. Big mistake. They have my account so screwed up it's not funny. They took out $117.99 from my bank account on July 1st for my July payment. According to them the payment never posted! All tho my bank statement plainly show's that they took the my out through their payment system on July 1st! I have talked with both Rent -a-Center and their corporate office about this situation concerning my July payment. They were both extremely rude to me! Refusing to believe that there might be an issue with their payment system! Once they but the money back on my debit card they can have the item back! I want ever buy anything from Rent -a-Center again! They're an bunch of rip off scammers! If you don't want to get ripped off on your payment history with this company. Stay completely clear of this company all together!

In March of 2023 I got a fridge, washer and dryer, a desk, desk chair and computer. I also got two bed sets, well beds yes sets not so much. The items came and they were not what I had picked out or agreed to, instead of a white princess bed set I got a drab grey kids Jr set, The bed set I picked out was $1100 the one that showed up was $1700, the bed set I picked out was supposed to have a dresser and night stand, and be $1800 instead a huge bed that took up my entire room showed up and it was $3000, I was like where is the rest and they said what rest? That was the first issue. Then the fridge they brought me which was not the one i picked out online either, died in the first week, the second one was ok but smaller yet they priced the same on my paperwork. I returned the bed 3 times until a size I could use showed up. Twin metal bed frames and mattress, still $3000. I didn't sign up for auto pay as I don't like it. They set it up without my permission and then I got hit with overdraft fees for when they pulled the money out of my account the amount was not covered, I called about the beds, the fridge and the billing more than once and all they said was pay more money. $750 for a late payment, $632 for another payment. $180 because they payment was declined. Then the fun started in June I had enough with the store their rude employees and the lack of taking anything I said into consideration. My account was overdrawn by $1700 and then if was closed because 98 further attempts were made to charge me $55, $419,$100, $532 and on and on. All this time they are calling me, my friends and family, multiple times. I returned the items in August as I was out of town from July to Aug. Still, they stopped by my house every day and called me over 100 times. They have been coming by more and more up to 3 times a day and they are parking at the end of my street waiting for me to get in my house form the store and then coming by. That is Stalking!

I had a rather disappointing experience with Rent A Center in Mt. Sterling, KY, and I feel compelled to share my thoughts about it. I began a rent-to-own process for a gaming computer with them on 03/29/23, and my initial impression was positive. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and I made timely payments for five months, up until 06/02/23.

However, my opinion of Rent A Center took a nosedive when I encountered some difficulties. In an effort to manage my payments, I reached out to the manager at the Mt. Sterling, KY location to discuss the possibility of arranging to pay for two months in the following month. Unfortunately, I was informed that this couldn't be done, which was disappointing but not entirely unexpected.

What truly left a sour taste in my mouth was the way I was treated on September 1,2023. I received a letter from Rent A Center demanding the return of the rental property to their store by 09/02/23, giving me only one day to comply by 5 pm. Given that the location was a four-hour drive away from my residence, I called the store to explore the possibility of them picking up their merchandise.

To my dismay, the representative I spoke to was not only rude but also unwilling to take any responsibility for retrieving their property. They insisted that I should drive four hours to return the merchandise personally, which I found to be highly inconvenient and unreasonable.

In the end, I agreed to return their items, but the interaction left me with no desire to do business with Rent A Center in Mt. Sterling, KY, or any other Rent A Center branch, for that matter. This experience highlighted a lack of customer-centricity, flexibility, and professionalism that I find unacceptable in any business.

My advice to others would be to exercise caution and consider alternative options before engaging with Rent A Center, particularly the Mt. Sterling, KY location. There are undoubtedly more customer-friendly and accommodating rental services available that won't leave you feeling frustrated and undervalued as a customer.

I've always paid my stuff off and my husband and I had a baby still born that almost killed me too I explained what was going on that I almost died and we lost our daughter that I would be back to work asap I got 3 payments behind and as soon as I got to making my payments when I was able to get back to work they started harassing me about court and showing up to my house harassing me about my son's laptop... I didn't just stop paying I almost died too they are horrible people at the Lexington NC location on Main Street

Customer service is top notch ive met great people expetually John who has become a really great friend I 100% recomend this place keep up the great work

People are always going to complain about Rent-A-Center and their pricing. I agree if you go over the 4 or 6 months same as cash option you are completely being robbed. As an employee, I bust my butt for this company only to put a roof over my child's head and food on the table. This job consumes all of your time, you have zero family life. The pay has recently went up but now that it's raise time they have informed us we are overpaid... hahaha. So we do not get one this year. Rent-A-Center is a very grimy company, if you can't treat your employees with respect and take care of them, why would any of us leave you a good review. Many days you don't get a lunch break when you are out delivering on the road because the lazy office workers slam to many deliveries into one day buy hey... u will be docked for your lunch (so illegal). I would not tell anybody to go there to rent unless your paying off quickly and I definitely woukd not suggest working there unless your single with no children. $16.50/hr in NY to bust your asses, deal with cockroaches, bedbugs and whatever else you may walk into (one of the dirtiest jobs ever) and jeopardize bringing bugs into your own home daily just to to be treated like $#*!. NOT COOL RAC... LEARN HOW TO TREAT YOUR EMPLOYEES!

I've had the worst experience with rent a center my father started renting from rent a center he then went on medical leave from his job due to cancer & he was trying to get short term disability! I simply called rent a center explained what was going on, and I said I'll pay what I can, as his daughter I have bills of my own & children, I simply could pay what I could when I could, they simple harrassed us for weeks, and weeks about getting there items back which was a TV & a couch, & a Nintendo switch, & my fathers phone, & the manager at the gallatin Tn location is absolutely the most rudest manger I have ever met, my father has never missed a payment til he started to get worse. I tried my damn hardest to work & help pay his payments. & i have my own health problems, so I'm very limited to what I can and can't do at work & how many hours I can work! I personally would never rent from them again, it's absolutely ridiculous on how they treat there customers! I give my experience from them 1 out of 5 stars!

After paying off contract. I feel my queen mattress was switched by deliverer or RAC/Rooms to go. Springs are popping up. Uncomfortable. It cost me over $1000

Paid over 60 payments on a tv and tv stand and wasn't told it was a bundle.thought I at least I would have paid off for the tv stand. Felt so disappointed and felt rip off

Where do I start first go in to Rent-A-Center on Christmas Eve looking to rent a TV because ours had broken not just that but we were moving just to let you know that Randy went above and beyond to make sure that I left there with the TV of course I have rented through Rent-A-Center many times before but never had such an experience as I did on Christmas Eve Maria is his right hand man or woman I should say and she is just amazing Randy started my paperwork and got us out of there and the quickest time ever and the conversations we had were to remember forever all I can tell you is that I've never had such a great customer service people person nicest kindest people that I've ever encountered I just want to make sure that whoever is their boss needs to let them know that they are doing just a fantastic job and I will continue to rent from them I was so happy I left there and my grandson left with the TV and our Christmas was perfect thank you once again Randy and Maria you guys are awesome

They are very unprofessional corporate needs to replace all the staff especially the managers iam a long time customer and my dryer has been down for a whole week and I still haven't got a new dryer or a loaner yet they have came up with every sorry excuse it is for not bringing me a dryer and I was told I was gonna have a dryer by 11am then they said between 3 -5 it's now 5:17pm and still no dryer or call to tell me the status of my dryer iam so done I have furnished my whole house with Rent a center and this is the last item IAM getting from them iam going to AARON'S I know they'll treat the customers right HOMEWOOD AL LOCATION DONT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS SO DISAPPOINTED
