Shady Practices
May 1, 2018

I signed up with realtor.com for leads last spring (5/2017) for a zip code in my area for 6 months. I received half a dozen calls over 2 months - in the middle of the night, at odd times when people typically wouldn't be calling. In talking with them, I found out other realtors were given the same leads, which I was never told. Why would I pay for leads if they are shared? Also, after speaking with the salesman, I was told there were two levels of service which I was never told. Very shady practices, truth was not told and I NEVER got a lead who I talked to. They always called and left a message and once it was the same number different person. Really seemed like it was staged to make it seem I was getting the leads I was "paying" for. That the "realtor" name was on this has been very disconcerting to me as we are held to a higher standard to be called a "realtor". I am very glad they are being called on the carpet about their practices.

Even when you pay for exclusive leads. They are not. They have given exclusive to up to 7 other agents.

Do NOT waste your money. The leads are other agents wanting you to do their work or their clients

June 19, 2021

I have called realtor.com 20 times, I have to leave messages no one calls me back. When someone does call me back and say they're going to call back later and actually schedule a time. No one ever calls back! I have emailed I have done everything. I will not recommend this company to anyone.

Omg I LOVED this app... unitl the forced update. Worst update ever. Please realize that the changes you made were not positive ones. This app went from fast seamless home searching to a hot mess. I can be sitting in front of a house and search for it with the app and it doesnt show up, If I google the address in a browser- there is the listing, FROM REALTOR.COM So infuriating. For the love of god bring back the old app because this update sucks the big one. So much so that I have moved on to zillow and deleted this ridiculousness off my phone.

Shantel was fantastic. Her customer service and knowledge truly went above and beyond. We moved quickly on a property and she was always ahead of the game. We will definitely recommend her to family and friends. We appreciate your work!

NOT ALL THAT
July 14, 2022

We went through all the trouble, hassle and aggravation of the "pre-approval" process and was even approved. But because we wanted a simple home with a country setting and a poor man's budget we couldn't get a home. They wanted us to go in debt (literally) for a 100,000$ home and because we turned it down they turned us down. So my advise to anyone looking to buy a home. Check your own credit score (it's free) and go to a lender so you can buy the home YOU WANT and pay the bank back cause realtor.com isn't going to put you in anything that you can afford because then they don't have a chance of foreclosing on the house and reselling it at the same high price to the next person that cannot afford it. That's how realtors get you. They go way above your budget. Because that's almost a guarantee of foreclosure for them and then they resell again.

I can't believe realtor.com has ruined their format. The reason I never use Trulia or Zillo is because I hate the format. So what does Realtor.com do copy them exactly. The same idoits that came up with 'new' Coke that tasted exactly like Pepsi must have gone to work for Realtor.com.

Realtor
August 19, 2023

Rhonda Tipton worst realtor to use from a distance. She never had our back. Seller and her lied to us right up to the end. When we finally got to the house she never had the sellers hold up to their promise. She never even met us at the house when we got here. She knew she screw us over. Cost us thousands of dollars in repairs. Shameful. Be careful shes as sweet as pie Dont fall for it.

Mediocre failed business people and bored housewives who come to believe they are somehow skilled. Just sold my house without using these "tools". I actually feel sorry for them. At least their not mattress salesmen.

Buy more servers already
February 14, 2023

A spectacularly slow site, which could easily be solved by simply adding more servers.

Unfortunately, it's one of the few MLS sites that provides flood zone maps, but Redfin does as well and is infinitely faster.

Hello all - I ran into this condensing broker while searching for a new Condo. Joann Aronson's lack of knowledge about the actual condo and the neighborhood was clear from the first time I met her. She works in the Smithtown NY area. I was very interested in the Condo she was showing but didn't make an offer because of her negative attitude and lack of business etiquette. Truth be told, I didn't trust her. Buyer and seller beware

AWFUL!
February 17, 2019

They sell you on advertising in order to allow buyers who are interested in your listings to be given your information rather than another realtor who is unfamiliar with the property. Absolute FRAUD. You cannot speak to a person regarding canceling your subscription-have to talk to a sales rep to cancel who actually tries upsaling your package. JOKE of a company. Worst part? My complaint was routed to the person I was complaining about-ludicrous! As with previous complaints, my calls were promised a returned response within 3 days, no response, rerouted to same said sales rep. Clearly they are so awful that they can't keep realtors so they trap them for their year subscription-will suffer until my year is up but hopeful others learn from my mistake.

Horrible Company!
October 4, 2017

I tried to cancel my lead subscription with these jokers. Spoke with a guy named * very rude and told me I could not cancel he could only offer me a buy out on my contract for $350. What contract didn't sign a contract? They take $112 out of my bank account each month w/out my permission. By far the rudest customer service ever. I will spread the word to never use Realtor.com. I received leads that were unqualufied or recycled. They have no updated SEO to get good qualified leads for Realtors it's a huge rip off and waste of money. Donot pay this company for leads go to zillow much better and much nicer customer service reps.

We listed our condo with Therese Adams, she also sold our condo. She always kept us up to date on the market and the showings we had. Though the condo was a second home for us, when we were in town, she always made time for us. She was rated one of the best sales people in Manhattan, Kansas and I totally agree with those reviews. She knows the market and the town. She gives you fair and consistent information so you are well informed. She is never pushy, but gives the needed guidance to make the right decisions.

As you can see in the photo of their website, the program works by 1)CALL realtor.com and explain what you're looking for and being referred to a realtor - CHECK - 2) find a property with that realtor - CHECK - and 3) After closing, instructions will be mailed on how to collect the cash back.
I followed steps 1 and 2 and when I contacted them about step 3, I was told I could not collect cash back. Apparently, they say I should have clicked on a link (not CALL as described on their website) and filled out an application that should have been sent to me. We both agree no application was sent to me. There was no way for me to know that was required in addition to the information I gave them.
So, now I'm not receiving the $1,000+ cash back that I was told earlier I could receive. This is a dishonest practice. One star because I couldn't give a rating of zero. BEWARE!

My home is not even for sale, but they are tracking it with incorrect bogus information. The description is wrong and they show the value as being significantly down despite of other homes being up. I never contracted with them, did not give them permission to publish any information about my home, and to top it they are showing fake, untrue so called facts that are not what they say. This must be some sort of scamming operation, degrade the value of your home for some extortion payment. I am waiting for their call, but will not pay them anything. I want them out of my home, out of my life.

Outstanding Agent
September 20, 2019

I actually am a real estate agent in California and have been for over 30 years. I owned a property in Buckeye, Arizona and decided to sell it after receiving a letter from Melissa Lewis with WestUSA in Goodyear who lives in the neighborhood that my house was in and I was between tenants. She was without a doubt the best choice I could have made. Being in another state she went so far above and beyond her duties as my agent and made this one of the easiest transactions I've ever had, it was sold in the first week for full price. She took care of everything including the repairs needed, she returns calls immediately, stays in touch through out the transaction and answers all questions, She really takes the bull by the horns and makes things happen. If you are in need of a great agent make sure you call Melissa, you will be glad you did.

Disappointed
June 24, 2016

I do not understand why there was a Ned to change this app. Limited filters and today I find even less. No map today. When there is a map it is not as robust. Before I could zoom in on a property to see how the house sat on the lot. I could move the map around to see nearby towns and lakes etc. The whole thing is very cumbersome to use. As an investor I go to Zillow to get more info now and I don't like Zillow. Please pull this code and reinstall the code from 2 months ago. This is killing your reputation.

Cindy Day helped me 2 different times while I was in Cape Coral to find the perfect property. She was very helpful and patient with us and is knowledgable about the area and the market plus she recommended a lender for us that did a great job! Cindy is very professional and went above and beyond for us, I would recommend her to anyone looking in the Cape Coral area!
