Have been using them for half a year, unit does not produce hot or cold water so it's always room temp. Old card got stolen and had to cancel it, they delivered water for 3 months before I noticed I wasn't paying, they added an extra 20 bucks a month (roughly 60% of the services cost) and when I called them they replied with "we called you once and sent you a text" last text was in September before my card went missing and they called me at 11 am in the middle of my work shift. Worst customer service Iv dealt with in a while. Canceling now.
We have used ReadyFresh since ~2000. The company was Deere Park until Nestle purchased them a few years ago. Since that time we have had so many delivery and customer service issues I began researching other alternatives and found none. I've called and complained during this past year and the response was always "we don't have enough drivers and we are working on it". Then the rep. Would give me 1 bottle of water free. Just one after the numerous issues.
PS. The issue has gotten a little better the last couple months. I'm in wait and see mode but would take any suggestions as to replacement company.
We have been a loyal customer of theirs through all their renames for about 30 years. The prices have steadily increased due to any excuse they can dream up in their heads. On the other hand their service has gone straight downhill. Deliveries are not followed via customer request & trying to get them to correct the misplaced delivery takes an act of Congress! Most customer service representatives are not helpful at all and back the incompetent delivery drivers like they can do no wrong. We are canceling our service ASAP and will buy the same products cheaper and without nearly the hassle from local grocery store chains. This is one sorry run company with quality service at the bottom of the barrel. They need to start looking at their reviews because they are terrible. I would be ashamed to be any employee of this company including CEO! (Photo represents not following clear delivery instructions on driver's file. Supposed to be in back gate where empty bottle is sitting)
ReadyRefresh needs some serious training when it comes to customer service. We've contacted their team countless times to change our billing address because they set up our account incorrectly. Each time we are assured it's been changed and each time it is not. They put us into collections for approximately $29 and never once sent us a warning or email about our account. After clearing the charge from the collection agency we were informed that a $33 fee would be imposed to re-activate our account... even though it was their fault to begin with! Does anyone have an alternative to ReadyRefresh? Seems they're one of the few services in NYC to deliver outside of Staples.
Thank you all for sharing your invaluable experience. I'm definitely not going to do business with them! As much as I need water, I don't need the drama or arrogant demeanor of this company. If they reschedule the drop off/pick up then they should definitely pay their customers a non convenience fee however after reading these horrible reviews, I'll keep walking to the store to get my h2o!
(Summer 2021) We've been ordering from this company since back when it was "Nestle", and customer service has been great! However, recently "ReadRefresh" took over, everything took a nosedive. We reached out to them four different times to schedule a delivery and each time, they never showed up. However, we still got charged for the delivery and had to go through customer service to reverse it! We sent three emails through their online portal and weeks went by without a response. You have to spend 20 - 30 minutes on hold before you get a live rep, and even then, all they can do is provide you with a "reschedule" date. Our small office goes through 13 five-gallon bottles a month, but they don't seem to care if they lose our account; which is fortunate since we have decided to go elsewhere.
I've been using ReadyRefresh for two years. Last year, service was reliable, fast and cheap. This year, I've had three deliveries cancelled without advance notice, and customer service is so difficult to coordinate with. I've gotten multiple notifications of products being delivered when they have not been. Because they're so unreliable, I am not able to leave out empty bottles for them to pick up and the empties are now piling up in my apartment. Each delivery costs $9.99 and each 5 gallon bottle is $12, which makes this an incredibly expensive way to hydrate.
Absolute worst customer service experienced in 55+ years of business. It is way beyond reasoning that this company is still in business. We've been customers for 10+ years and have no choice but to discontinue business with them due to the constant unavailability of customer service. Doesn't even deserve 1 star but must give to post.
Things that have gotten worse.
1) Asking for tipping? Really. Annoyed the company doesn't pay them enough.
2) Charging for water bottle pickup. We should just horde the water bottles. I remember when they begged us to be able to come pick them up. Now they want to charge $20 just for an empty water bottle pickup. WTF.
3) Can't find any way to reach a human being on the phone anymore.
Overall service has gone drastically downhill. Will look for a new provider but not sure there is another one in the area.
Bought ReadyRefresh through sales at Costco last year. They offered 4 bottles for the price of 3 discount. I thought it was for all deliveries, but turns out the discount only applies for the first shipment. Very expensive price for purified water. In addition to that, they charge about $6 per delivery. Might as well just pick up a bottle at lowes, safeway, etc, or install a water purifying system, saving yourself from the trouble of this crap.
Read your contract carefully. Although the sales promised completely free dispenser, at cancellation, don't be surprised if they charge $50 "recondition fee" for the water dispenser rental. Not a good company to do business with. Highly suggest everyone to stay away from it.
For a month my account has had a credit balance that Readyfresh has failed to pay. This is the most incompetent and, worse case, corrupt company I have ever dealt with. No telephone customer service reps and emails go unanswered.
We dont have good quality water in our town. Been with RR 30 YEARS. After numerous delivery problems and rates increases we are thoroughly disgusted. They even charge u to change delivery date and will reschedule u with notice!
Relative living here now is allergic to chlorine so we need bottled water. Onto a new company. Tired of paying $100/month for 5 5gal bottles
Longtime customers... service has deteriorated progressively since the takeover from Poland Spring by Ready Refresh."Scheduled deliveries" are changed and then changed again without notice. Customer Service LIES. Yes. LIES. Called today to check on our delivery that had been scheduled yesterday. Was told the driver was 10 minutes away. Can you believe he wasn't? The website says delivery is now scheduled for tomorrow. We'll believe it when we see it. Changing vendors. We highly recommend you do the same.
After more than 50 years as an Arrowhead water delivery customer, I have oi discontinue service. Each month I get letters informing me of price increases on product and services. I am punished by a separate billing for paper at a cost of $3.00 every month. They want email billing. My emails number in the low hundreds everyday. I can't search for ReadyRefresh statements. Don't bother trying customer service unless you have plenty of time to spend on hold.
This is the worst company I've ever dealt with in my life. For two weeks they've been sneaking into my mom's building and still have not delivered the products we ordered. We're wasting our valuable lives waiting on hold to speak to people who promise they'll make it right, and then days later we get another sneaky delivery, where they don't take the unwanted stuff away and still don't deliver what we order. I'm going to see what watchdog agency I can report them to. They shouldn't be in business. Please don't ever order from them.
One of the sales rep came to my house saying I was going to get water delivered next for 3$. Its been three months and I haven't received anything but my credit card keeps getting charged. Don't recommend unless you like getting scammed. Smh
My post was deleted which means y'all condone having y'all workers drive doing deliveries while high off weed. So I'm gonna keep posting this. So I guess they can do deliveries while drunk and coked up also, right? This 1 delivery guy name David Hicks that works in Jersey City is always high. He has a nasty attitude and customer service skills sucks.I'm reporting this to every Ready Refresh place cause Jersey City office definitely ain't doing a good job with hiring people. Now I see why people don't get their water. They taking weed breaks or selling water off the truck. Hire people y'all can depend on. Ladies if you see this man David Hicks and his eyes are red, don't let him in your home unless you have a man in the house with you. I know this post will be deleted so I will be reposting again.
The option of zero stars isn't given which is a shame because this company's customer service, response time and everything in between is abhorrent. Canceled deliveries, incorrect billing statements, sending the wrong products, abominable customer service... It's all just bad. Don't do it!
Every aspect of every bad review has taken place at my business.
Mainly tried to cancel service many times since August of 2021. Our business is closed for the winter. When spring came they dropped off 6 bottles of water when we weren't looking. They want me to pay $80.
For what I don't know. Horrible customer service ridiculous prices and huge lack of communication.
Do not use this company for water or anything.
Ready refresh is very convenient and the water is good quality. However, the prices have increased often and for each of the items within your order. You don't just get charged for an increase in the bottle price, but also the dispenser and the delivery fee. The price increase has been consistent for the past three years and we've found it's not cost efficient compared to other water options. When you try to cancel your service, you'll be on hold for upwards of 45 minutes. Customer service is horrendous. I'm hoping that once we cancel there are no further issues. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.
Answer: I believe it's a lack of communication between them and the delivery guys. I had the same issue and cancelled my account. Watch out for your invoices too.
Answer: Beatriz S. Please tell us as an insider what kinds of policies ready refresh has and why customers are treated so poorly. You can help make the world a better place starting with getting these types of companies to change their awful practices and deceptions.
Answer: Customer service is terrible. I told them I was cancelling my service and they said OK. They did not care why, they had ZERO interest in resolving a small problem, instead they transferred me right over to cancellation department which must be a busy place to work!
Answer: Call them and ask to speak to a supervisor right away.
