Not worth the hassle

I signed up after seeing their ads on t. V., and never saw the promotional cash being advertised added to my account. Also, I have tried to order products through their website only to find out at the end of a transaction that the store I am purchasing from either won't deliver, won't allow pick up or won't take my card.
As well, the rebates offered really don't add up to much unless you are spending exorbitant amounts of money!
Not a website I would recommend to anyone in the grand scheme of things!

Beware at all cost

I ordered a sub woofer and they sent me a Purse!
Called the purse company they said they received the order from Rakuten and that this was not the first time this happened where somebody ordered electronics and received a purse
Total scam. Heres the kicker after multiple emails and call NO SUBWOOFER AVALIBLE AT THAT PRICE. STAY AWAY!

Great easy customer support

I had an item that didn't get bonus cash on. Sent email and instant response from customer support. After a few emails back and forth to verify the item belonged in the rebate and it was all done. Great and quick customer service is hard to find these days but they went way above and to resolve it right away was amazing.

Absolutely LOVE Ebates!

I love shopping, like normal, and through ebates getting cash back! I even will shop at particular stores that have higher rebates if they have the same products on another site that doesn't have or has a low rebate. Wonderful site!

I signed up about a year ago, I have received a few cash back checks awesome. The crappy part is you have to stay on top of it, of everything! I actually take screen shots on my phone from time to time of my money back. A few times my cash back amount would change? Humm, so I would go and see my purchase amount and it would be off a few cents on the ebates site. Just a few cents here and there so I figured whatever. Then there's keeping up with making sure they actually pay you! You submit an email and the credit usually comes(I've also had to fight for it a time or two). They will NOT email you back if you have questions on their "promotional" things they run. They somewhat explain, but not really. And then there is the tell-a-friend! My favorite- you can email, message and Facebook that referral link until you're blue in the face. The ONLY way I have ever received credit was because MY family signed up and made purchases so I KNEW I should have received credit. Just another thing you have to email and $#*! about. Am I still using ebates- yup but I'll make sure I get everything promised..

Great Customer Service

I'm a new member, made my 1st purchase through eBates and was unaware of the procedure to make sure that I was credited for my transaction. I submitted my concern via email and was quickly responded to by a rep. And was pleased to get the info and my concerns were answered. I will continue to shop online using eBates in the future and pass there program along to my friends and family!

Customer service contact

I had not received the money in my account from a purchase I made. I contacted customer service and after communicating with them they did resolve this matter for me to my satisfaction. They were very eager to help and kept me informed on the progress. They replied very quickly to my emails. Ebates customer service employees should be acknowledged for what a good job they do to keep the customer happy.

I have been ebates customer for about a year and I had a lot a problem to get my cash back. They are not dependable, they has a lot of promotions just to hook many customers, but they donot deliver what they promise. Also there are many cash back sites that offers much more than Ebates in every single store like befrugal.com, mr. Rebates, fatwallet, topcashhback and many others... I will never buy again with them.

Horrible

I bought things through ebates a couple years ago and just now are they notifying me that I have credits. Well, I closed my account because obviously it doesn't work and now that the credit is not over a certain amount they won't send it to me! Ripoff!

Too many times I have to contact Ebates for credit on purchases. However a quick email usually resolves the problem... Different story with sizeable cash back. Been waiting for more than one month now for one purchase to be credited... a ten percent cash back. Gotta say that communication with Ebates is good... I still use it when I can. Word to the wise... keep meticulous records especially for larger purchases...

Excellent Customer Service

I had placed an order using Ebates, and the vendor I used had a limit on the number of items you could purchase in one transaction, so I ordered the same item 3 different times under the same login for Ebates. I only received one Cash Back amount for the items. Once I realized this I sent an email to customer service and he told me to send over my other 2 orders and he would credit my account, so I did. As soon as I got him my information I had my credits in my account just a few minutes later.

I must compare Ebates.com with another cash-back site, SavingStar.com. Ebates is fast, responsive, and on-point when responding to customer concerns. Ebates rewards customers for purchases incredibly fast. The competitor offers poor customer service, has admitted to being six weeks behind in replying, and worst of all, does not honor its own cash-back incentives. Bottom line? No comparison. Ebates wins out every time!
