Question: Why all the bad reviews? Wow I can't believe after reading about the owner that he is where he is at by ripping people off?
Can someone shed some light on this subject?

I believe all the bad reviews answers your question.

I was told I would get a full refund. I did not. I purchased a refurbished product, which according to their customer service did not go through the entire refurbishing process. The product was inferior. I was lied to.

The problem is unlike Amazon that takes ownership of the products they sell and provide customer service, Rakuten is just a web sight and you are left at the mercy of the person selling the product.

Why? Because i was sent bad products and all the rest also have lot of bad stories i have seen. I only bought without paying attention. It was also marked on amazon that this company has 89 or 92 percent of feedbacks. So it is really low like 3.5 on 5 stars or. 4 on 5 max average. It s really risky.
I was refunded after a long research and questions. By amazon team! Lucky me not these people. Rakuten or the same company with other names is not trustable!

I think the problem is with the customer service and the lack of responsibility the company takes when they mess up, delivery of products etc is fine, but when something happens to that product then Rakuten seems to brush it under the mat. They claim its in the T's & C's but when you look or ask where it is they cant tell you and you have no hope as it doesn't exist, then they try and make out its in promotional terms, again you ask to see these and they can't provide... I would just stay clear of this company, normally I don't really listen to reviews or write them but I had to after this company screwed me over.

Rakuten does not sell the items. The retailer does. Rakuten earns a commission for referring you to the retailer. Rakuten then shares a portion of that commission to you in the form of a cash rebate. The retailer determines how much that rebate will be.
